Additionally, spear’s normal shroom speed is only 0.16 kmh slower than platinum runner’s so it’s safe to say there aren’t really any platinum exclusive clips.

Plus, there are also some clips where drift and handling have to be really high in combination with the speed and offroad. Also, rSGB lap 1 cycle.

this has made me realize funky kong is a wizard with a variety of powerful spells such as: -conjure surfboard -manifest DK summit -command nature (specifically trees and more specifically to boost him upwards) -do really cool flip (its a spell trust me) -obliterate wall
His DDR TAS actually uses a different version of the Platinum Runner with different stats. With the official Platinum Runner mod, the method he used isn't possible. I tried performing it like that for my first compilation but failed due to the offroad slowing the vehicle down too much

that's possible without platinum runner, it works because there is a wall beside out-of-bounds (OOB), and when you're next to a wall, OOB detection is ignored. a difference between this and any normal "wall hug" is that the wall itself is also OOB, so you have a very small region of space to work with in order to get the shortcut to work. unfortunately, it was proven to be slower than one of the regular sand shroomspots for a flap run, so sadly it won't be seen in TAS runs.

Second, while it's not necessarily faster, it's still really cool and silly looking, so I felt it fit to include in the montage :)
