The MacBook sales are going down each month and you still hear these "TH-camrs" talking about Windows as a second-class OS. When in fact its the only OS that lets you do real stuff, be productive, play any game on earth, code and run VMs, servers, etc.... and Windows 10 is really good lately.

The fingerprint scanner placement beside the trackpad is ideal imo. I picked up a 7th gen for myself recently after using both an 8th gen and a 9th gen at work. I don't like the power button fingerprint reader on the new ones, because I do love to use the Carbon on the go, since it's so light and easy to carry in one hand. I've found that the one near the trackpad is ideal because it's naturally where I would rest my thumb when I grab it with my right hand, where the power button one requires two hands and it feels more awkward, plus the reader is smaller (pill shaped instead of box shaped). I also love the power button on the side, again, because it's so easy to assign that to hibernate the laptop and press when I'm done with it at the end of the day, and opening the lid after hibernation automatically turns it back on. Not huge dealbreakers for the new ones, but I personally love the feel of the 7th gen, the ability to open it with one hand without lifting the whole computer (8th gen seems to have taken a step back in this regard, but they fixed that again with the 9th gen, which is also easy to open one-handed), plus the ergonomic placement of the fingerprint reader and power button, in addition to the touchscreen and face unlock truly make this an exceptional package, and when I do have enough spare cash, I'll probably swap the 256 GB SSD out for a 4 TB one

Absolutely in love with my X1, strictly(and perfect for) using in Uni/personal software developing. It is unbelievably fast, lightweight and sturdy, the screen doesn't shake as you type like I see so many other bigger laptops do in lecture halls. The battery saving capabilities lets you work all day on a single charge, quick charge comes in clutch if you even need to use it. The HDR WQHD is great for your Netflix binging. Oh and if some bozo spills water on it by accident, guess what? The guy just gave you cash to try and make up for it and you're laptop wasn't even harmed. For what I need a laptop for, I would buy this one again over any other laptop on the the market today. (Disclaimer: I don't use for gaming, I have a desktop for that sweet sweet 144+FPS ultra gaming.)

Not huge dealbreakers for the new ones, but I personally love the feel of the 7th gen, the ability to open it with one hand without lifting the whole computer (8th gen seems to have taken a step back in this regard, but they fixed that again with the 9th gen, which is also easy to open one-handed), plus the ergonomic placement of the fingerprint reader and power button, in addition to the touchscreen and face unlock truly make this an exceptional package, and when I do have enough spare cash, I'll probably swap the 256 GB SSD out for a 4 TB one

@@hamstrtj The P50 is a really cool machine. My daily driver is kind of special. It's a maxed out X230 Tablet, but at home I use it with a special external GPU solution :)
Absolutely in love with my X1, strictly(and perfect for) using in Uni/personal software developing. It is unbelievably fast, lightweight and sturdy, the screen doesn't shake as you type like I see so many other bigger laptops do in lecture halls. The battery saving capabilities lets you work all day on a single charge, quick charge comes in clutch if you even need to use it. The HDR WQHD is great for your Netflix binging. Oh and if some bozo spills water on it by accident, guess what? The guy just gave you cash to try and make up for it and you're laptop wasn't even harmed. For what I need a laptop for, I would buy this one again over any other laptop on the the market today. (Disclaimer: I don't use for gaming, I have a desktop for that sweet sweet 144+FPS ultra gaming.)

i had one for a while, all lenovo's notebooks are pretty good to type on, so I donìt understand when all there say that they are triggered lol. I think they good to do some light stuff (I spent less than 150 bucks for my lenovo pc)
