Found this video and was hunting for something after reading Pokemon: Festivals of Champions (which is also a great read!). Read it completely and for anyone wanting to read it the comic, chapter 13 onwards you have to read the comic from deviant art by downloading it and enlarging it as only everything before that has been compiled properly. It is a great read and while the art itself is kinda rough at times, don't let it deter you (the art improves a lot as the chapters go by). However... the story is, one might say, a masterpiece. The author had stated in the afterword that they left it on a cliffhanger with certain unresolved plot points however what is there will grip you and hold your attention throughout. Also, this video essay was great and I really loved the Q&A section. Besides that, you have a really soothing voice, I really look forward to see where you take your channel!
Another gem to add to the reading list and another great video! I loved the addition of the Q&A, you chose some really great questions that gave insight on the comic before I read it myself. (ikik it’s kinda spoiled before reading, but I’m still excited.)
Oh man, i remember reading "Its a hard life", legitimately one of me favorite Nuzlocke comics (or rather was). The entire premise was incredibly strong, the protagonist and her mons had memorable personalities and no one has ever come close to making me hate Gary like they did! That being said, that abrupt ending felt so incredibly bittersweet and not in a particularly satisfying way. Cant say i blame the author, mental health is a bitch and this comic clearly took a lot of effort and I'd rather have an author that ends their story rather than going on and hating it. Still, for anyone who loves nuzlockes or wonderfully crafted webcomics, I strongly recommend (though be mentally prepared for a disappointing ending)
I loved Jojjo and Kato’s bond it’s such a shame she never saw Kano grow up and become stronger she would’ve been proud. It was cool to see the Leonardo and Raphael dynamics between Puck and Cogito, it would of been cool to see who would of won the fight if they did battle over who would be leader of the group. I feel like if they were fighting without using super effective moves and if Puck was still a Wartortle he would have an advantage in speed and size but would have to be incredibly careful of making any physical contact with Cogito with her Poison Point ability.
I know this might not mean much. But you are an incredible storyteller. I almost teared up when kato remembered what jojo told him about everyone may rely on him
Before i say this video i didn't know that nuzlocke comics were a thing and im glad i found this video i love the it's a hard life comic and i want to read more nuzlocke comics thanks for bringing attention to this comic
This is the anime pokemon should've been. You dont see this kind of plot and climax in the actual pokemon anime. THERES A FREAKING REVENGE ARC LIKE WTF! Whyis it so good!???😭😭😭😭
Not trying to dog on this but the Pokémon manga does a much better job of giving the Pokémon world an interesting plot without just making it super dark
i remember reading this,, i was caught up until silph co. (i think) and i can’t remember what happens after that, but what I do remember was that jojjo was my favorite :( her and kato were so familial it’s so unfortunate
Uncensored on www.patreon.com/Arikendo, I wanted to have it uncensored but TH-cam will age restrict it :( Shout out to Qlockwork, the amazing author and artist behind this comic All the music is in the playlist in the description!
Was this comic from before the introduction of dupes clause or did the author just decide not to use it? Also, TWO Nidoran-Males? Did the author count the Safari Zone separately?

It's on permanent hiatus because of the writer's health? When was this mentioned?
