Why the engineers put a water pumptiming change driven exactly over the open oil pan of failure mixing water in the oil burning up the engine. Poor engineering at it's best. They could easily have designed the pump no threat. a belt driven the enigine lasting far more miles. Water and oil don't mix and Dodge sure pay the. costly repair expense of the 2.7l..
