That setlist is one of the best i ever seen of judas priest, wish i was there, i only change breaking the law for another one maybe the sinner ,screaming for vengance or freewheel burning.
I saw this tour. It's a sin they didn't play Freewheel Burning :( ...But they did on the Ram It Down tour, which was fucking unbelievable. This was the last tour where Rob's voice was truly epic. He was even sicker on Ram, but was still excellent on this one.
Both guitars look awesome... Glenn: nice format of the guitar..it looks like a thundering hammer. KK´s: nice Flying V with metal bolts. and finally the song "night crawler" is awesome, too. Nice Tune Dude!!^^
OK fair enough. Painkiller was big for me too because they finally went back to a kick ass drummer and returned to their more heavy sound. I was glad to see them live once again in 2005.
What a voice what a song, I saw the hell bent tour, the british steel tour, the point of entry tour, the screaming for vengeance tour and the defenders tour, how did I miss this one? I would love to get this cd.
they got voted nr. 2 on some MTV award for best metal, band, they should got nr. one and judas preist are the metal, pioners together with black sabbath
@cliffthelightning I've see them live in monterrey, and the sound was PERFECT, you can hear Bruce perfectly, I gonna see Priest in September 30th at D.F.
@BlackenedThunder :Just seen Priest tonight live (a 2hours and a half show). Two years ago I have seen Iron Maiden (headliners 1 hour and a half show with Bruce speaking with the public for about 30 minutes). I'm sorry you have no idea that Rob is 60 years old. Still , at the last show Bruce failed a couple of times as he started to lose his voice. But tonight I was simply amazed by the clear voice and the sharp screams ( flawless performance of Rob on Painkiller)
yeah, both judas priest and iron maiden are both excelent bands! both are one of my favourites! but i think that the live performance from iron maiden can't be compared to any other band, they're performances are the best of all time!
Yes I understood, that's what I was talking about I guess they felt your comment like a Depreciation. But they're wrong, u re right. it was just a comment.
You are right.I saw Priest twice on the Operation Rock tour in the summer of 1991,and it seemed as if Rob didn't want to be there.I walked away from BOTH shows feeling slighted.Rob had no energy or desire at that time.
I thought I heard Halford go out of pitch at one point...and then I realized that Halford didn't go flat, the space-time continuum just went sharp for a moment.
@PeaceSells1986 It's a Hamer Phantom GT, which is his custom model which unfortunately can't be bought from hamer because they only made them for him >=(
Not sure I agree Screaming and defenders are right there with it. I finally got a 1990 live dvd, I'm very happy, Painkiller is up there with one of there best, but the best?, I would ask you to listen very carefully to screaming defenders angel and stained class plus sad wings, too many great tunes, too many what a great group.
@grazydine2 I think he just practices going all the way up there till it becomes natural to him. Thats what I practice doing and I noticed it seemed easier to go higher and you can extend the range higher.
I used to listen to Painkill non stop when I was young. Now I'm listening to it again nearly 20 years later. Good shit! BTW. Is this song about a worm?
Glenn is not a human being. One of the biggest and best guitarist of all time.

I saw this tour. It's a sin they didn't play Freewheel Burning :( ...But they did on the Ram It Down tour, which was fucking unbelievable. This was the last tour where Rob's voice was truly epic. He was even sicker on Ram, but was still excellent on this one.
This song is criminally underrated. Shame they don't play it live. One of their best.
Oh, my...I can't bear those vocals as much as I love the studio ones.
Glenn's guitar is so awesome looking!
My favorite Priest song, it's so fuckin' epic. When I hear this song it reminds me of some scary novel.
this song is GOOOOD
first time i heard it, 3 of my 4 hearts where having attacks
Both guitars look awesome...
Glenn: nice format of the guitar..it looks like a thundering hammer.
KK´s: nice Flying V with metal bolts.
and finally the song "night crawler" is awesome, too. Nice Tune Dude!!^^

OK fair enough. Painkiller was big for me too because they finally went back to a kick ass drummer and returned to their more heavy sound. I was glad to see them live once again in 2005.
i tohugh exactley the same first time i saw him
What a voice what a song, I saw the hell bent tour, the british steel tour, the point of entry tour, the screaming for vengeance tour and the defenders tour, how did I miss this one? I would love to get this cd.

@cliffthelightning I've see them live in monterrey, and the sound was PERFECT, you can hear Bruce perfectly, I gonna see Priest in September 30th at D.F.
long live Metal Gods!
I love KK's guitar sound in this one
It seems to be known as "hamer custom GT".
I totally agree, this model kicks ass.
But tonight I was simply amazed by the clear voice and the sharp screams ( flawless performance of Rob on Painkiller)

but i think that the live performance from iron maiden can't be compared to any other band, they're performances are the best of all time!
This would be a good song to start out the concert with
Yes I understood, that's what I was talking about
I guess they felt your comment like a Depreciation.

That spoken word part around 3:40 sounds silly with that DISTORTION on Rob's mic. They did not do that later on this tour.
@grazydine2 I think he just practices going all the way up there till it becomes natural to him. Thats what I practice doing and I noticed it seemed easier to go higher and you can extend the range higher.
3:38 to 4:17 Rob's voice kinda reminds me of Hans from Die Hard 1 lol, it sounds amazing
cante pela carajo!!!
@G0dher0 I thought Adrian played the solo on children of the damned.that tapping solo thinggy.
I used to listen to Painkill non stop when I was young. Now I'm listening to it again nearly 20 years later. Good shit! BTW. Is this song about a worm?
