  • In the far future, humankind has colonized the galaxy. Three prospectors mining asteroids discover an alien escape pod containing a baby girl with hooves for feet an a horn on her head. They bring her on their ship and raise her as their own, naming her Acorna. She soon grows into a young adult and proves herself a fast learner and a literal worker of miracles. Once the four get back to civilization, the government wants to study and conduct experiments on Acorna, as she’s a member of an undiscovered alien civilization with fantastic powers.
Her surrogate family rescues her, and they escape to Kezdet, planet of thieves. While they do find refuge and patronage, Acorna is confronted with the horrible truth about the planet: Kezdet’s economy is largely dependent on child slave labor. Having had an experience in captivity herself, Acorna becomes determined to rescue every child she can from such a hellish existence. But many forces are in pursuit of her, including the Piper, the mysterious monster who plays from the shadows and runs his slave-dependent empire on Kezdet with an iron fist. Acorna will learn that evil comes in many forms, but that only makes hope more appealing for her and her allies.
I do not own the rights to this book. My review is simply meant to inform and to entertain.

I loved the Acorna series and wish they would make it into a movie.

It’s wonderful to know that there is a book series for this fascinating character and her world. Thanks for the reminder that I need to check it out! 👍

Would love to see some older fantasy reviews from you! You have good taste in books. Almidt all the horror books youve reviewed that i read or at least the ines i can find lmfao turn out to be great. Horror and fantasy are my two goto genres and i tend to hop between the two to avoid burnout
