Hadn't considered coming to Vietnam but the experience of it all and just learning to navigate sounds like such an adventure. Plus the general peace of mind from the safety and laidback culture. You really sell it.
Im 35 years, watched some of your videos with my dad. HE GAVE ME A STIR LOOK and said, that white boy is more vietnamese than you! after he saw u sing kraoke on the Tet video HAHAHAHAHA. My father is from Nha Trang, i was born in Norway haha
Thanks, Travis, I haven't seen lychee in 25 years (Queensland Australia). I don't drink coffee, but I'll give some a try. So funny, "The more expensive version is $17." :) You're Visa video is excellent, I've saved it and will review it again in about two months. When I get to Hanoi, I'll be taking those Hanoi Food Tours. I started drinking warm beer when I was stationed in Germany for 3 years in the '70s. Thank you again.
I’m actually going to be traveling to Vietnam in a couple days. I’ve been looking over suggestion videos lately to reinforce the things I need to keep in mind and your video was very helpful.
It's great to discover a new channel like yours. Your videos are amazing and super helpful, straight to the point without bs talking. Appreciate your work and I am more than sure your channel will grow very fast in the next months! All the best!!!👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks for watching! I started a group where I'm gathering all my information about Vietnam and will have updates there. Would love to have you join and you can ask me any questions directly there. www.skool.com/travel-vietnam-6703/about
Great tips and advice. I plan on going the end of April. I'd like to explore some more remote areas such as the rivers by boat, the local villages, etc. If you have any recommendations please let me know. Thanks again
Love your videos. Really, you do a great job. I'm older and American. I've lived in Thailand, Korea and the Philippines. I speak Korean. What do you think about owning a car over there...maybe 8-10 years old? Philippines it was fine, just not a Ford. Hard to get parts. I see nothing on- line regarding the topic.
Great video! I'm heading to Vietnam in 3 days, really want to rent a moterbike to see the northern country side but I don't have a IDP nor is the uk one even valid. I know incurance doesn't cover you for accidents if you don't do it legally, what are your thoughts? I feel like I'd really be missing out if I skipped the bikes
Doing a motorbike trip is definitely one of the best things you can do, but you only drive in the mountains if you're very comfortable on a bike. You can also ride on the back with someone else who will guide you.
Hello, very helpful video, thank you. We’re coming to Vietnam in March, we’re from Australia, could you please tell me what the exchange rate is in Vietnam, trying to decide if the rate is better here or there. Also is wise credit card excepted in Vietnam. Thank you 😊
Exchange rate stays about 16k VND to 1 AUD. I believe Wise works fine. There is a Facebook group 'vietnam travel for australians' with lots of updated information
Great video! Quick question.. if I want to stay in Vietnam for let’s say a year, can I just keep applying for the 90 days e-Visa back to back? Or is there a certain amount of time that has to go by in between each e-Visa? Thank you very much, love your content!
You can do consecutive 90 day visas. You need to cross the border each time. If you use a visa agent you can get the visa in a few hours and usually return the same day. Otherwise you have to apply outside of the country for the new visa and wait 3-4 days for it to be approved
E sim is good just so you have data ready when you arrive. Long term I would get a viettel simcard but I don't recommend using the shops at the airport. airalo.pxf.io/travis TRAVIS15 for 15% discount
@@TravisTravelsVN got it. Thanks for the information. I am travelling vietnam this May. Hope your videos can be a compass for me enjoying vietnam coming trip.
You should warn them that Vietnam is a third world slum country. You didn’t warn them about garbage and unhygienic foods. Nên cảnh báo họ Việt Nam là một quốc gia ổ chuột của thế giới thứ ba. Cảnh báo họ về rác thải và thực phẩm không vệ sinh.
This guy is a legend, looking forward to seeing your channel grow because you really deserve it

Totally agree with you in not supporting begging. I’d rather support working adults even just buying some tat.

Travis, There are no TH-camrs talking about international flights to Vietnam with as few stops as possible. Can you recommend routes and airlines?
Korean airlines leaves Atlanta everyday. Goes to Incheon then to Vietnam....long flight though.
Great video !
Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the comment. Cars are very expensive here and very inconvenient. Cars make up a very small percentage of vehicles on the road.

How do u know the right price to bargain?
in general I would go down about 1/3 the price

Hello. do we need yellow fever vaccine before entering the country? thanks
No vaccines are required, there are some recommended but I've personally never had any of those vaccines after living here 5 years
