The closest Nickelodeon had nicktoons interact with each other was during the "SpongeBob Summer Beach House" block they had back in the early 2000s.

Dude, crossovers just don't happen widespread anymore. And if they do, it's not the same as the old school. Remember all the Lilo and Stitch Crossovers?
Edit: I was a total Disney channel kid growing up, and really didn't watch any cartoon network. When I did, it was for very few shows. I stopped watching when Teen Titans Go took over. My comment was just meaning that the energy, the POWER, behind the old crossovers was something that I just don't see happening anymore. Then again, I'm not a kid anymore. I'm 18 and don't watch new cartoons anymore, so I am definitely out of the loop.
OK KO: Let's be Heroes had a crossover event episode featuring then-current CN characters, and also paying homage to many defunct shows from the glory days of the Cartoon Cartoon era. It was called the Crossover Nexus, and it was glorious.
OK KO was constantly paying respects to cartoon culture that came before it, truly standing out among its contemporaries. Of course, then it got cancelled. All good things...
The crossovers that have recently occurred on CN are kind of bland to me? Not bland as in ... boring, persay. But the connections, adventures, and stories within the crossovers don't induce a feeling of excitement.
During nexus, there were appearances of older characters, but they never showed up in form until the final battle. They stayed as statues and all that jazz when it would have been interesting for some of them to interact with the nexus team.
I'd love to see the same energy that was put into the crossovers such as KND v. Billy and Mandy and so on because it had grabbed people's attention. But the uncle grandpa crossover??? With SU??? That was ... yikes.
PPG with TTG? Not surprised it happened but ... wish it had never did. It was odd with the story and the girls appeared unlike their selves from the show ( which is arguably a GOOD thing - ) and there was only filler plot.
This may be an unpopular opinion but I enjoyed a lot of the more recent CN crossovers like Steven Universe & Uncle Grandpa, Teen Titans Go meeting The Powerpuff Girls & Scooby-Doo, The O.K.K.O crossover nexus.

This is a really great format to introduce new youtubers to people imo
When I'm feeling sad, or just need a good dose of nostalgia, I like to watch those long-ass compilations of the CN City bumpers and the old Boomerang bumpers. They were always so much fun and always sucked you into the TV. They always had this charming grasp on you that made you sit and watch cartoons for HOURS. It made drudging through the boring commercials soooooo worth it! But I watched TV recently and discovered that Bumpers don't even exist anymore. Literally, they just show ads, and then the show. Sometimes they even play the show and ads AT THE SAME DAMN TIME! I think Bumpers are a dying art, so seeing over an hour long video talking about them is great!
It really was a golden age, the internet enhanced TV but wasn't yet undermining it.

I remember always being hype over cartoon teasers. This, the first glimpses of Invader Zim, the promo for The Invader storyline on Toonami and the events that happened after it. I was like a kid who heard the ice cream truck with how excited I'd get.
Great Job man. This really reminded the magic of Cartoon television, and it's so sad that we'll likely never have this again in our age of streaming. Idc TV was better back in the day

Y'know, at first, I was kinda dismissive of Mr. Nostalgia, because, y'know, microsoft sam and all this, but then I realized the script was actually really funny. I'm glad you got him in here, and of course props to everyone else.
It's good to see stuff like this. For whatever reason, I don't see a whole lot of black youtubers do longform content outside of video essays over serious or very niche topics, and it's great to see people tackle stuff that's more than just vines and short skits. Those cats put in work, of course, but stuff with a bit more flesh always hits the spot.

This event lives rent free in my head ever since i watched it all those years ago and years later I finally really understood the choices for which shows got invaded and the overall arc of the event. The first four shows involved characters that..... were basically civallians...... I mean just look at them. A social work and her homeless wards, a suburban cul da sac of kids who's parents are all away, a public high school, and two summer kid campgrounds. And each episode followed the overall arc of an invasion. Foster's was first contact, Ed, Eddie, and Eddy was covert abduction, Gym Partner was recon, and Lazlo was a small scale assault. All leading to Billy and Mandy being Grand Invasion and where the cockiness and arrogance of the aliens heavily underestimating earth's defenses from their prior research of the other shows undoes their plans since Billy and mandy.... are very much not as useless in a battle since Billy is highly unstable and can cause tons of damage, Mandy is cold and cruel meaning she can exploit any enemy, sperg is the toughest bully of their school so he can tank and throw down (plus the bomb helps), and..... grim is the fucking Grim reaper... he hates the kids but once he's in peril he nuts up and gets ready for a fight. If other shows were picked the invasion event would have been less competent and creepy...... I mean..... Powerpuff Girls have not only dealt with invasions beforehand but they fucking devoured an invasion force once with their city's kids, The KND are very much trained soldiers so they would have sent the aliens packing, megas xLR is a fucking Gundam so coop just has to press two buttons and then take a nap..... and Ben 10 would just have to press one button. The event's arc was showing how the aliens thought targeting the most vulnerable shows would help them succeed only to be stopped in their tracks once they got to the show where the characters have some fucking bite to them. That's why I loved this event so much

I like how the concepts of CN Invaded and CN City kind of coalesced into FusionFall, even though the game didn't last nearly long enough due to money (shocking).
Like come on- aliens begin invading Cartoon Network's shared universe and our heroes have to stop them? I loved this concept, super short lived.
This is the first time watching these videos made me feel hella old. I don't even remember this point in CN history. The only show I watched during this time was Foster's and Edx3.

I noticed the racism in Ed Edd n Eddy with Johnny's character as well but I still love Ed Edd N Eddy because I didn't notice those things as a child but my young adult hood I went back and watched those episodes and I saw the shxt and I was like......WTF!!!

In Invaded did you noticed there was a butt monkey/punching bag themed character? Frankie for Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends , Eddy for Ed Edd n Eddy , Adam for My Gym Partner's a Monkey and Samson for Camp Lazlo's first half. I don't think CL's second half or the entirely of Billy and Mandy's episode had such a character.
