the nostalgia that i feel when you talk about Gumball, regular show, adventure time and many more.thank you for making this video it makes me miss these shows. i was born in 2009.
This was the era I grew up most with, almost all these shows played a huge role in me becoming an inspiring artist and storyteller!! I can't thank this timeline enough, all it does is just brings me back home!! Sort of wish CN can pick up the slack this decade even with more reboots/ spinoffs coming 🙂🙂🙂
Cartoon Network back then have the OG shows like Adventure Time, Rugler Show, Steven Universe, and The amazing world of gumball. Rest in peace OG's you will be missed!
Old Cartoon Network back then Gumball Adventure Time Regular Show, Uncle Grandpa Looney Tunes Show old Powerpuff Girls oh yeah and old Boomerang was good
As annoying as the annoying orange was,it really was the earliest example of Internet personality going into the mainstream, you can also kinda say Fred was the first, but it really strays from the TH-cam channel, while annoying orange was litterly just the TH-cam channel
Yeah that show didn't pass my mom's smell test. She got freaked out because of a skit that showed Lightning McQueen getting crushed to death in a hydraulic press.
Steven Universe has a LOT of lore in it and even to this day some questions haven't been answered. In the early days it was more like Adventure Time, but as the show continued the characters began to mature and the stories got really good. Steven is NOT normal, but that's for you to discover if you ever watch the show properly
2010s CN... the perfect mix of Canadians (Detentionaire, Grojband, Sidekick, Super Noobs, Johnny Test, Mega Man Fully Charged) Cult classics (OK K.O.!, Steven Universe, Clarence, Infinity Train, Regular Show, Adventure Time, Gumball, etc...) and a few annoyances (the reboots for PPG, Ben 10, Teen Titans, and the Thundercats after a well-made 2011 attempt) CN was a well-done neighborhood at the time, but the constant Warner ownership changes, and Christina Miller's firm grip on CN has kneecapped the network's chances of becoming #1 ever again.
The Unties States didn’t actually get Detentionaire, only a few episodes of the first half of the series made it onto the websites streaming site out of order with zero promotion
19:16 the problem solverz was originally pitched to be on adult swim but the people at adult swim said it was too cute so it was moved to cartoon network, me personally, the show would have been a massive success if it was on adult swim
Fun fact: in Mighty Magiswords, the Unicorn Sword was played by my Dad (@Manchildalorian)’s friend! (She did not have any involvement with the situation with the show)
I’m not the only one who notices that all of his favorite episodes in these shows revolve around video games as it’s possibly the only thing he can relate to.
Great vid as always. I loved hearing/rehearing about some of these shows. You forgot Hero 108, but that's fine. I didn't even know it existed until like two weeks ago.
2010's cartoon network is literally my entire childhood this is the era where I started to love cartoons and would watch them after school. Now as a teenager I still reminisce about the shiws that I loved even tho cartoon network today is not as good back then.
Generator Rex and Sym-Bionic Titan...man, how fucking sad. They should have been huge, and although I know Generator Rex has a (not great) game, they both deserve to have incredible video game adaptions made by fuckin' Platinum or Capcom or something. WHERE'S THE JUSTICE!
I was both a working adult and didn't have Sky TV in the 2010s so I missed out on all of these. I did get around to some of them later. Really enjoyed Gumball and Infinity Train, loved Steven Universe. Couldn't get into Adventure Time, but I appreciated what it was doing.
The first half of this era felt like CN was trying to be a lighter version of Adult Swim. Their shows at this time seemed to appeal more to the older kids, young teens, and even young adults demographic. So, I was the prime target for this era, and I really appreciated these shows. My favorite was Regular Show. I liked that the humor didn't feel pandering, it didn't have that "how you doing fellow kids?" feeling that most kids cartoons have.
Cartoon Network has really lost its edge over the years when it comes to creativity, they were the best cartoon channel from classic shows like Dexter's Laboratory Ed Edd n Eddy and the Powerpuff Girls too modern-day hits like Adventure Time Steven Universe and Regular Show. The big problem now is that the brainless dirtbags in charge of CN don't know the first thing about good quality animation or how to make a decent schedule, between the fact they keep ignoring their best shows and replacing them with garbage reboots I just had to give up on the current Cartoon Network a channel that used to have what it takes to be the best.
@@btpati I think it's going to take more than a new CEO the new block on Adult Swim called Checkered Past proves they still have respect for their old shows. All Warner Bros needs to do is make the block a brand-new channel that way they can air all the classic shows 24/7 just like they used to do with Boomerang back in the 2000s, they could even make a whole new version of CN City or even Powerhouse it would be perfect.

26:44 I blocked this out of my mind. The High Fructose Adventures of Annoying Orange. PhantomStrider covered this show three times on this channel and it sucks. Annoying Orange started on TH-cam in 2009, got this show on CN in 2012, it got canceled after 2 seasons, and they went back to TH-cam in 2014 and stayed there. The worst 30 episodes of a series that existed. Since I saw this horror, I had to cut oranges into slices every single time I wanted an orange because if I ate it whole, I would see these beedy eyes and lips that made me hurl.

This era of Cartoon Network literally had everything. You want a show with an intriguing premise and an incredibly compelling and at times dark theme, that also embodies heart and personality? You have Adventure Time. You want a show that nails the more mature humor that ironically has the most irregular plots ever? You have Regular Show. You want a show that is more unique and light-hearted, but yet incredibly influenced by meme culture? You have The Amazing World of Gumball.
