Well Louie's reviews as the host of that show weren't exactly well received. Louie liked being a comic more than a game show host. But Louie always made me laugh that it didn't matter. He was a great host of Family Feud!!!
Other hosts of this show are okay, but Dawson IS Family Feud, despite all the things said about him. If you watched the E! True Hollywood Story, you'll see what I mean.
Yeah Louie was better than most people said. His humor is very simliar to Ray Combs. He knew when to be funny and knew how to be in control of the show.
That "kind of music" question was bad. There are so many different genres of music and differnent ways people classify them. Some people might think "love songs" is R&B slow-jam, or romantic pop music, or who knows. Glad they got the 200 points.

I'm glad that someone else besides me sees that Drew was a good replacement for Bob and he is doing a great job as host and Louie was just horrible on "Family Feud!" I think people have said that the reason a lot of people didn't win on Louie's version was because he mumbled the questions. I think I heard on one show he even cost the people $10,000 because they could only hear two questions he asked the first time.
Watching this, it's hard to believe how far the latest incarnation of Feud has come since then. It'll be interesting to see how Steve Harvey does come fall.
He is easily the best host with all of the junk surveys and terrible set design that he has to put up with. Steve knows how to be entertaining in the context of the game and is not affaid to give contestants the rope they need when the time comes. The production is just bad though. The distance between the families is a ludicrously large gap, and the colours are atrocious. A throwback to the original production design and even quality questions is definitely warranted. Steve does make the best of the poor material, but he should not have to deal with bottom of the barrel rubbish! There is definitely a solid reason why he has lasted a whole decade.

My ranking of Feud hosts (best to worst) is Dawson/Combs (I think the two are comparable, and Dawson wasn't nearly as good the second time around), Harvey (say what you will about his views, but he is easily the best host of the second revival), O'Hurley, Karn, Anderson. Anderson did have a personality, and I will give him that, but he just wasn't a good host at all. Anderson was just to socially awkward to host a game show, and he was too often incomprehensible.
Louie is funny, as a comedian. As a game show host? No. As a game show host, he's just some guy with a raspy voice who acts like he'd obviously rather be anywhere else in the world than in that studio.
I miss Louie on Family Feud. He was an awesome host.
