I know. That kind of caught me curious, too. But - i still feel like that's different. Shoes would include boots, sandals, heels...etc. Clothes would include shirts, coats, pants lingerie...etc. I felt like they were different. But that answer did yield 41 points so you feel like the value resulted in a combined answer.
I would really love to see how Steve would react to the first person getting all 200 points by his/herself. It has happened a few times when Ray Combs was host.
I don't know why they counted clothes and shoes as the same answer, does that mean any article of clothing would have automatically been 41 points? That said, I'm not surprised that CAR got 26. I can see how the mother was confused about the dough question. Coming at you quickly like the format does one may have thought the answer was about the ingredients and not what the dough was to make. Too bad Steve didn't have the opportunity to play some humor off the "RIDE ON MY BABY" error.
@@FireStormBaller Sure, though that's what I would expect. I still think shoes should be separate from clothing, it was confusing when she got buzzed twice.

This may make me seem old, but back in the day when I was a kid and Richard Dawson was the host of Family Feud, the fast money prize was then $20,000, as it is today. Richard Dawson was hosting the show in the 1980s. $20,000 was a nice chunk of change back then. Today, not so much with what things cost today. Back in the 80s, a family of 5 could live a year off of that. Good luck in a family of 5 making it 3 months today on that amount. You would think then that the fast money prize would have increased with the times.
It's even worse in Family Feud Canada. The Fast Money prize there is only 10,000 CAD, which is a mere $7720 USD as I write this. Either they are stingy as hell up there, or else there is some kind of tax law they are taking advantage of (maybe prizes under 10,000 aren't taxed?). In contrast, I understand all of the US Family Feud winnings are taxable income to the IRS. So that 20K USD may only be worth $13000 after federal/state taxes are paid on it.
@@ericmookiegary Thank you. I used to wonder why the same family keeps coming back to playing the game. No wonder I am confused as I am watching from India.
It was $10,000 once it hit syndication in the late 80's, here's a clip. th-cam.com/video/sku39sGlYv8/w-d-xo.html It didn't hit 20k until 2001 per the wiki.
This show is such a setup. You know the producers worked with both of them beforehand and gave them the answers they wanted to hear from both to create this "drama". I've had family work on these shows and they said this happens often because a guessing game is only as good as the humor you can build into it.
There was a Ray Coombs episode where the first player got all #1 answers and they got over 200 points. They played a trick on the second contestant by making it look as if they got only 10 points so they had work to do. Once they got through the 5 questions and the contestant turned around and saw the total, they were overjoyed.
In all the years the show has been on, less than five contestants have given all number one answers. Because of the rarity of one contest giving all number one answers, it should be that if one content gives all number one answers, the family gets one million dollars regardless if all the answers equal to two hundred points.
Or at least double their money when it happens. I'm surprised that getting all #1 answers doesn't total 200, making the second person unnecessary altogether.
Notice the way Steve had to glance in the direction of the Invigilator to read the number '7' on a cue card so he'd know how many points Mary-Anne needed?
It sounds great the first person got all #1 answers but as you saw it really makes the 2nd person's job hard. The mom kept getting the same answers and her 2nd choices sounded weak. I would never have guessed car was that high for example. Glad they won the money.
I wouldn't call it making the 2nd person's job hard when they need 7 points, it isn't like there's only one obvious answer for each question asked they are fairly open ended and have multiple answers you can reasonably give. The mom was just hella nervous when she has to give just one answer that isn't complete garbage, which car was in hindsight.
The first question threw her off when she said clothes then lingerie. It wasn't clear all clothes were off limits. She wasted most of her time with that.
"Oh NO?!?!" Her second daughter said that with an almost eyeroll. She seems so obnoxious. Support your mother, it isn't easy for everyone to be in front of millions of people.
She is supporting her mother. She's repeating what her mother said, but she also says it in a tone as if to say, "You did fine. Don't be so hard on yourself." If you look at her expressions, gestures, and body language, you can definitely tell she is supporting her mother.

Its amazing when someone gets all the top answers. The next person is probably super nervous to not screw up. They probably won't but it still must be in their mind.
Mom: “I’m in trouble” and “nice knowing you”
I seriously thought she wouldn’t get any points 😂😂
After years of watching this game show I've finally seen all number 1 answers
Well I guess you can go back to working on a cure for cancer now, genius ?
@@ccdogparkUmm, what? Did you even watch the video? The person got all the number one answers, which is very rare. This isn't about the intelligence of the viewer. But hey, maybe they are curing cancer and this show is a way to relax.
4:19 Seeing the family's faces😆 I was worried too tho. Mom was under the most pressure.
I was expecting the mom to hit all zeros lol
Don't ever miss the fast money..It's the best part of the game..
Lingerie is far from being the same as or similar to shoes... WTH?!?
EDIT: Okay, they're saying clothes/shoes was the number one answer... still have no idea why, but whatever.
Something you wear.
I thought the same thing. Quite different.
I wanted to cry for this mama. The stress alone would have made me freeze up.
I would really love to see how Steve would react to the first person getting all 200 points by his/herself. It has happened a few times when Ray Combs was host.
Won't happen. The producers are smart and they always make sure that all the #1 answers add up to 180 - 199
You got us good 😮 i was waiting for five zeros in a row 😂😂
I was afraid that the mom may lost! Jumped off my bed after she won 😃😂 so happy
Car was a nice pull. I think she would have got some points for her answer to the 2nd question, but I don't think it would have been 7! lol
Fooled me! I, too, thought second person was going to blow it.🤣
Girl nailed the coffin , mom dug a grave ! hahaha
Whew! That was a nerve wracking win! I didn't think they would make it.
"My baby" lmao you riding on babies, Ms. Mary Anne?😂
I'm sooooooo glad that she didn't get disowned from her family! 😂🤣😂🤣😂
“I remember the first time I rode on…”
“My baby”
In the second contestants defense, it's hard to think of alternate answers
NO ONE CAN LOVE YOU LIKE JESUS….. Words Of Gold
Because the answer would probably be split too much. Like shirt 5 people said it, pants 2, socks 3, etc. See? Too much.
@@FireStormBaller Sure, though that's what I would expect. I still think shoes should be separate from clothing, it was confusing when she got buzzed twice.
@@FireStormBaller I mean, there's clothes... and then there's shoes. You can include shirts, pants, socks, into one answer but shoes are significant enough to be their category like jewelry or make-up.
@@sws212 Maybe it was split like 21 and 20 then 26 for car and they need a big number one answer of at least 35-40. So they combined clothes and shoes.
Steve made mom even more nervous.
Yea I think his wording was a big contributing factor to the mother's nervousness she's only had to get one which is the only one I think she answered correctly because the rest of those answers weren't going to help, if she needed them I'm glad that she didn't need them tho...
She was so lucky that first question existed
Steve said “we gotta get 7 outta this” but he sounded hopeless 😂😂😂
I was shouting "bicycle" and "pizza" dough!!!! This is at the top of the list of most nervewracking!!
She got all the number one answers!
That is in the title
Really?! I was unaware of this fact! They should really put it in the title or at least play the part where Steve says she got all the #1 answers
But remember, the winning family gets to return up to 5 times if they continueto win. That family has a chance to win $100,000 and a new vehicle.
@@ericmookiegary Thank you. I used to wonder why the same family keeps coming back to playing the game. No wonder I am confused as I am watching from India.
wrong, it was only $5k (BUT a family could win up to $25k, if they reached that amount they were retired undefeated.)
It was $10,000 once it hit syndication in the late 80's, here's a clip. th-cam.com/video/sku39sGlYv8/w-d-xo.html
It didn't hit 20k until 2001 per the wiki.
This show is such a setup. You know the producers worked with both of them beforehand and gave them the answers they wanted to hear from both to create this "drama". I've had family work on these shows and they said this happens often because a guessing game is only as good as the humor you can build into it.
Great job with the title Family Feud!! I for sure thought they weren’t gonna win at all. Nice
My family and I loved watching family feud. And I still continuing watching it. When I am at home.
I honestly thought the mother wasn’t going to get the 7 points lol
I was so nervous what if the car didn't get 7 points because I think all the other answers got zeros.
Happy for them especially her (mom)
My answers:
1. House
2. 10 years
3. Play-Doh
4. Train
5. Sporting event
There was a Ray Coombs episode where the first player got all #1 answers and they got over 200 points. They played a trick on the second contestant by making it look as if they got only 10 points so they had work to do. Once they got through the 5 questions and the contestant turned around and saw the total, they were overjoyed.
Courtney gave all number one answers by herself! Now it all comes down to her mother.
how do u know
Cause I've seen this episode
Congratulations,
Kline family!
I dont usually get worked up, but my heart jumped
The mom was so nervous! And did I hear correctly? "..remember the first time I rode on".."my baby“???
She got so happy
I remember on the french tv the first person gave best answers for 199 points and the second one... scored five zeros and made his team lose.
je le savais que j avais deje vu ca quelque part! :D
I am glad they got the $20,000 since the mom's Nerves got the best of her
Her nerves were getting the best of me, I felt sorry for Mom
In all the years the show has been on, less than five contestants have given all number one answers. Because of the rarity of one contest giving all number one answers, it should be that if one content gives all number one answers, the family gets one million dollars regardless if all the answers equal to two hundred points.
Or at least double their money when it happens. I'm surprised that getting all #1 answers doesn't total 200, making the second person unnecessary altogether.
Notice the way Steve had to glance in the direction of the Invigilator to read the number '7' on a cue card so he'd know how many points Mary-Anne needed?
Courtney crushed it. Quick thinking under pressure!
Steve is the one person in the world I expected to have a smart ass comment about baby riding.
It sounds great the first person got all #1 answers but as you saw it really makes the 2nd person's job hard. The mom kept getting the same answers and her 2nd choices sounded weak. I would never have guessed car was that high for example. Glad they won the money.
Car surprised me as well. I would have said bread for the kind of dough.
Can we talk about the smile n inner guilt after saying the horse
0:53 We all know what was in her mind 😏😏
"Then this"...
They won...
amazing.
😞
"Oh NO?!?!" Her second daughter said that with an almost eyeroll. She seems so obnoxious. Support your mother, it isn't easy for everyone to be in front of millions of people.
When? Timestamp?
@@sssamyak 2:57
she isn’t going against her mother, wtf? why misconstrue that few seconds so badly
@@aoliravioli My my. Willful blindness has a mascot.
She is supporting her mother. She's repeating what her mother said, but she also says it in a tone as if to say, "You did fine. Don't be so hard on yourself." If you look at her expressions, gestures, and body language, you can definitely tell she is supporting her mother.
So that makes the third best first person score I've seen (second being 195 and first being 197).
Wasn't there one from the old shows where someone scored over 200?
@@aceospades6570During the Ray Combs era, there was one contestant who got over 200 by herself twice in the same week.
@@aceospades6570 Before Steve? Offhand idk. Lol.
Courtney answered every question immediately.
I know it’s easier-said-than-done, but my 2nd answers were:
(1) Purse
(2) 7 or 10
(3) PLAY dough
(4) Bike
(5) Sporting events
I did not read the comments first and man I thought she chocked for sure. Thanks goodness for that first answer.
Man! I was soooo nervous that the mom would bomb this opportunity that I didn't want to read the comments for any spoilers. I was literally holding every breath inside my body
0:53, we all know what came to her mind, she almost laughed 😂😂… or am I just sick?
I was thinking bike, i don't know what you mean...
My answer was chalkboard😳
Nah, I caught it too. She was absolutely thinking what you were. 😁
