New A/C Compressor and Component Kit from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ic/1AACK00129
This video shows you how to install a new AC compressor from TRQ on your 1999-2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.
The AC compressor circulates refrigerant under pressure throughout your car or truck's air conditioning system. Through age or faults in other components, the compressor can burn out and stop working.
PLEASE NOTE: Before attempting this repair, have your AC system's refrigerant properly removed by a qualified technician.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
    1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
    2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
    2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
    2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Do you have to turn the new compressor 10-15 times with a spanner wrench?

My pull busted off and the belt is still OK. I made it a quarter of a mile and stopped to see what was happening. Towed home. Hope that's all in the morning
