    Riding for 23 yrs, I’ve had well over 20 bikes, and I just traded a ‘18 GSX-R 1000r for 2020 Cafe Racer yesterday…
    First Impressions: Amazing machine, tons of fun around town, and probably the easiest bike to ride that I’ve ever owned.

    What a great concise overrall review. The narrator is knowledgable and informative without being boring. Kudos dude.
    I have tested both the Desert Sled and the M797 at my local dealers here. I believe they have different gearing too.
    My heart says the cafe racer, but my head says the Monster. There are also killer deals to be had here on 5-6 y/o s/h 796 Monsters.
    Regards, a Brit in NE Thailand.

    "Break down" is the right word. I fell off my Ducati night shift and had some slight damage to the muffler cover the right brake lever the right indicator and the right front fork, sending it to Ducati for repairs resulted in a $10,000 repair bill for a $12,000 bike. I've now repaired it for less than $200 and I spent the 10,000 they were trying to rip me off for on a Nother Ducati scrambler this time a café racer Limited addition because it was cheaper to buy a completely new Ducati scrambler and use it for spare parts that it was to fix five small broken items on the night shift. If you buy a Ducati scrambler, remember this; if you break anything made from plastic made in China that is stuck on the bike they're going to ask you for $10,000 to fix it.

    Got to say that the Urban Motard is the most important development of the Scrambler range for me...why? do you ask...simply because it reminds me of the bikes of my far off youth, bikes that , way back then looked simpler and more efficient than contemporary motorcycles...the motard look, borrowed from the original street racer concept, although less elegant perhaps than the look of the larger wheeled model, captures the feeling of a bike far more suited to it's Urban or suburban where excellent cornering qualities are needed...overall it pleases me because it takes me back to a time of a less complex life enjoyed in my ecstatic youth...Glen Norris

  • @danielcamachogarcia3831
    @danielcamachogarcia3831 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Do you think that it's possible to get the exhaust pipe of the 800 lifted to look like the one in the 1100? I live in a place where whenever it rains, water floods our streets , so if there's too much water, you think twice before riding your bike because you're afraid water might get in the engine through the pipe. I'd like to get a scrambler and save some money, and the 800 looks like a good option for me and my budget 😄

    • @chrishart8548
      @chrishart8548 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A good 250cc will do 100mph remember the 62 (400cc) is only 41hp and 25.5ftlb torque. A lot of larger bikes are 100ftlb + of torque. And this bikes around 190kg wet a lot more than any 250cc is and rather heavy for a 400cc. Kawasaki z400 is 165kg wet And 44hp. And I wouldn't call that bike fast.

    • @AMSDucatiDallas
      @AMSDucatiDallas  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don't let anyone tell you what bike you should be riding. You need to put the seat time in and test ride as many Scramblers as you can. Then you can make your decision based on the feel of the bikes you rode and how much you can allocate towards your purchase or what you can spend in a monthly payment.

    • @MikaelLewisify
      @MikaelLewisify ปีที่แล้ว

      The 1100s have different riding modes, so when you’re just starting out, you can dial down the power output so it’s a bit easier to handle. Having said that, I think the 1100 is the smoothest bike I’ve ever ridden. Very responsive and easy to control. Plenty of power but never out of control. I’ve owned a lot of bikes in this is hands-down, the best one I’ve ever had.

    What does that single gauge have in it? I figure it has a speedo and gas gauge, is there a tach? If not can one be added? And these things have a catalytic converter? That's the first thing I'd get rid of. No tach, no sale. I wish you'd covered, in detail, what's on that instrument gauge. You skipped right over that. And when did they start putting catalytic converters on motorcycles? I don't know about this fuel injection on motorcycles. That means electronic fuel injection, which brings in those oxygen sensors, which makes it difficult to put on custom exhaust systems. All the same aggravating hardware we have on cars. I don't think carbs and older bikes are so much trouble now.

    Nice video, crappy music! I don' think you need music to make this fine presentation.

    Good video, thanks! Informative on the different models. One note; go back and listen to this video and count how many times you said, “uhhh” and you’ll be floored. I’m not being critical, just a repecful helpful observation.

      Coach Ron, you sound pretty critical over here and we are not seeing any 15 minute, single take videos of you online talking unscripted about multiple products without using filler words. As we have said before, we are not vloggers trying to make a buck off likes and views. We are real people, who love what we do, trying to create content to share our knowledge and common questions from our customers. There is plenty of other content for you on the tubes. ✌️

    My third bike was a Ducati, back in 1970. I like the new scrambler line up and wanted to hear what you had to say, but the constant background noise drove me away.
    When you have something important to say, skip the music track.

      @@AMSDucatiDallas A little music for the intro / outro OK, but IMHO, from start to end doesn't add to the video, it subtracts. I guess it's just a pet peeve with me.
