    This is great vid chase spot on. I got my Sixty2 2 weeks ago because of this vodeo and now 2 weeks later, i watched it again. The engine whistle, the throttle play, and the fun experience. Im a newbie coming from a 300cc and i think this bike just fits my needs as an all around, daily commuter bike. About the missing gear and fuel indicators, thats because Ducati wants consumers to buy the 803cc! 😇

    I’ve owned the black Sixty2 for 3 years and I’ve modified the hell out of it. I would pretty much agree with everything you’ve said during your review. I live in London and the Sixty2 is prefect for commuting around our very congested roads. Also I get so many good comments and looks from other road users all the time. I’m planning on buying a Monster 821 in the future to add to my Sixty2.

    20 years experience mostly on Honda VFR/CBR models. Did a "downsize" after a few years off and had one of these for a couple years, put over 10K miles. Nice job of making a few key points about what make this bike great: you can full throttle wind out a small bike on the street, it sounds great and nobody will know it's a 400 except other Ducati riders...
    I sold it for a few things that never come up in reviews:
    1) Ducati scheduled maintenance is expensive IF you're going to use it as a daily commuter - the sweet spot for these is to ride about 3-4K miles per year - make them fun ones. I ballparked dealership maintenance by the book at ~20c/mile. Just rode 100 miles? Put $20 in your maintenance fund! Think about that...
    2) Unscheduled maintenance happens - in my 20 years I've never had to have so much random crap done (end cap on exhaust fell off, bike stalled when cold with less than 2K miles, etc.) Was starting to deposit a little oil around the top spark plug when I parted with it. All normal stuff for a Ducati.
    3)

      how you liking it so far?

    • @JerRobertPaulin
      @JerRobertPaulin 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@notstevelam I think it’s an excellent starter / first bike/ city commuter. I live in NYC where the streets are 25 mph and highways are 45 mph, so it’s been perfect for that. The loose throttle play in this video isn’t accurate to all bikes, mine is normal. The power delivery is slowish but smooth. 1st gear is worthless. 3rd gear, going 30 mph / 3500-4K RPMs is the sweet spot. The bike + city streets gets you a lot of practice shifting. My only detractor is a minor one- the turn signal cancelling button is quite annoying. It seems to never want to turn off, after hitting it. The exhaust is quiet, especially with the helmet on. Some people like that, some don’t. I like the sound. It’s a very attractive bike that gets a lot of attention by pedestrians / drivers (asking questions/ thumbs up etc...) if I had the option again to get the 800 or the 400, I’d still go with this model.

    My driving school uses those, learning to ride on one! I think this motobike is mostly aimed at Europeans, we have a 47,5hp limit the first two years of riding and this bike it the only one Ducati offers under that limit as far as I know. But yeah, it's expensive...

    that thing costs 10k usd in my country. absolutely not worth buying for the price. european and american bikes are taxed all to hell. but the japanese ones are just above like 1k usd from the srp for the most part and those are the bikes to buy. the scrambler 1100 costs like over 20k usd here. price isn't even funny.

    This bike is a bit of a joke, honestly. They should have just updated and re-released the Monster 400 that has the same engine but superior chassis and brakes.
