I have a question for you cuz I can't find it on TH-cam what if you have a hallway that goes down then it cuts off to the right how do you keep it from being a directional I need the fibers to go the same way thanks for your time
@@brentmaveric4981 it depends on how long hallway is and how far right it goes mostly I would cut it out in the shape of the hallway all in one big piece, from big roll of carpet! I hope that helps
@@brentmaveric4981 also depends on if you are trying to save money if you want in 1 piece there could be lot of waste on material or you could have a few seams, its hard to describe without measurement and drawing a diagram out
@@BAMTASTIC711 I have a job on Wednesday and it's a 19 ft hallway and then it cuts off to the right another 15 ft that would definitely be a big waste of material so I guess if I understand you right I'm going to have to do some scenes and it sounds like it will be a directional I appreciate your comment I just had to read it a couple times to understand it like you said just one big ass piece and cut it out
Only wanted to know about replacing a damaged piece of carpet but now i want one of those knee kicker gadgets, dont know why? just know as a man my workshop must have one lol
Some installers like to staple the carpet down on the tac strip around all the walls..... Who ever is doing that, please Stop! It's very difficult for me to pull the carpet up and power stretch it later on down the road. Just tuck it in and leave it, don't staple it.
I don't like, how much carpet you cut out from sides, you waste the carpet like that, you should push carpet more on one Side and the cut out pieces you should use for something else, for example stairs.
That's awesome Janet O'Brian! One small problem you didn't leave any of your contact info for my customer to call you on
nice construction band-aid.
how often do you use a power stretcher?
Wow so many experts here saying how you've done it wrong but I bet none of them have done a video?!?!? Keyboard warriors. Thanks for vid
Damian Hodgson lol thank you and thanks for checking it out!!
When you have a cut at the door way between the bedroom and the hall way, what do you use so you can't tell that you brought the carpet together?

You're gonna need a walker before you hit 50.
