    Awesome video! I’m a tile contractor and I’m tired of carpet strips. This will be the only way I do it from now on. Thanks man!

    ** If your tackstrip pokes through so that you feel the nails, take a regular hammer and pound along the tackstrip (after it's all installed) and fold the tacks towards the tile. (should still be hooked into the carpet) then fluff it back up with your hand and good to go.

    I will be installing vinyl flooring up to an existing carpet with a carpet gripper strip. Is this something that could still work before I install my floor or after. I'm worried there won't be enough good carpet to tuck.

    Recommendations for any specific construction adhesive to use on the new tac strip? I have a no-cut/no drill high tension concrete slab and need to pull up about 50% of the carpet to replace a worn area with tile.

    Thank you. I’m installing laminate flooring and will need to transition to our existing carpet. My question is where in the door jam is suitable for the transition - either good to carpet or a transition strip?
    Thank you in advance.

    Need something that is more protective of the edge. This is fine until the pets and vacuum cleaner hit the edge of the carpet. Will look further for threshold coverings.

      The tile had a schluter edge piece!! When tucking to tile or any hard surface you should double strip and use a sealer on the carpet edge before tucking it !! It will keep the rug from fraying.!

      This will not last! He should have put z-bar down with the tack strip. Invisible and holds down the carpet. Professional!

    I have a master bathroom (Tiled) in the master bedroom (Carpet). I would like to be able to lay a new floor (laminate planks) over the bathroom Tile. Because I am removing the carpet in the bedroom and laying the Laminate flooring, I am uncertain if there is a possible way to transition from the bedroom( carpet being removed) and the bathroom/closet ( laminate on top of existing tile in bathroom.

    Can you use the same process with vinyl tile, if you smoothly cut off the click edge? Or do you think just using T-moulding is best? Thank you.

    Where do you get the tool to stretch the carpet

    • @Dj_Matic
      @Dj_Matic 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is called a carpet kicker or carpet stretcher and can be found at almost all box stores that sell flooring.
      I would always recommend to check FB marketplace if no luck; Harbor Freight Tools.

    Yes I have a question I want to transition my old carpet into a new vinyl floor and that's what this video was supposed to be about but it's not you have all new flooring that's easy

    • @Dj_Matic
      @Dj_Matic 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You would need something called a transition threshold.
      Often referred to as "Schluter-Strip"
      However, Schluter is just a brand name. Much like people call tounge/groove vinyl flooring "Pergo" (which of course is also just a brand name)
