Found the idler pulley yet? Autozone P#231150 ($45.00) fits perfect for 06 M45. Its listed as it won't fit on their website. Took a trip to 2 parts stores that told me they don't even list the idler pulley. Found it with a Google search.
+Alex Fawcett Yep! I have a lot of these, so I just choose to replace the individual bearings. That is a good find on the pulley. In my experience, the aftermarket ones usually are of cheaper quality. This one also has that stop in the back, which I like. Did it feel less "solid" than the OEM one or they are just the same?

Talking numbers: I did all the pulleys (2 tensioners, 1 idler) at the same time, using Koyo bearings. 40 bucks in parts and paid a shop 25 bucks to press them out and in. For the second engine, I somehow lost the discount and the bearings cost 50 bucks and I pressed them in myself using an arbor press. I've done it cheaper before, using some no-name bearings, but I wanted to do some honest benchmarking on buying new pulleys versus pressing quality bearings in the original pulleys.
EdBwoy HEY my guy love your videos...I'm new to the import world I'm looking at a 07-08 m45 or a 03-04m45..of course a 03-04 would be cheaper but as far as upkeep and service are parts plentiful.. even though it was made 2yrs.im come from the big block Chevy world .. all this is new not use to the tight work space.... basically wanting to know is the 03-04 worth buying even with low miles and good price don't want to buy a $ pit ..... please I want your honest opinion...
+Lonnie Tate Thanks man. Honest opinion, they are good cars. The 03-04 has a little more space in the engine bay for work. The good thing is that with either of them, you will not find yourself under the hood that often. Very reliable. Then, when it comes to platform specific parts like suspension, the 03/04 obviously has less aftermarket parts available. You can still find the OEM parts at prices comparable to the 06+ prices. Again, they don't break often. But to answer your question, NOPE! Not plentiful nor is there variety like you're used to in the GM world Otherwise, a lot of other things are shared with other Nissan vehicles, so things like sensors, filters, etc are easily obtained. You're not likely to be stranded with either one of them

No its not which is my issue...the idler does not rock this way you have to loosen it and there is a tensioner screw. I'm having a time bec that 14 bolt is starting to strip.
Just got an 08 M45 for my first car but I’m having trouble with the idler pulley. It’s wobbly and the hardware doesn’t feel like it’s tightened in the back. What should I change? Any help would be appreciated!
Congratulations! Very nice option for a first car. Try tightening the idler pulley if you suspect it was done recently and not done correctly. Otherwise, if the pulley spins freely and makes noise when you remove the belt, just buy a replacement pulley.

Feels solid maybe even more so.
Pulled out the calipers before I put it in and all the dimensions are good. Belt is centered on the wheel.

You can still do it. Access might be a little difficult, but if you have a good selection of tools it will work

You can buy new pulleys from an auto parts store
