How long did I drag my feet just to propagate this lush Scindapsus pictus exotica? Waaay long 🤣 Does anyone appreciate this understated silver beauty like I do? 😄
I love this plant! I have at least 50 house plants and this specific Scindapsus, "Exotica", with its larger leaves and bolder silvery splashes, is in my top 5 favorites.
Hi, I've further propagated the parent plant and given away most of the cuttings when I moved last year. You can check out some other Scindapsus videos here: th-cam.com/video/KzpZSEGLNJE/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/o-H9hKJmEN8/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/rlnzgxDWJ7M/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/bfu5tK-ZLdc/w-d-xo.html
Waiting until the leaves curl is actually damaging the plant hence the yellow leaves.Your plant also needs more light, the exotica is actually not a low light plant.More light= less leggy.
Thanks for your advice. Yes, I had the original in a darker location and it flourished when I moved it next to a bright window. The only thing is that my balcony gets direct sun and that burns most of my plants. I got to be careful of its placement. I also don't like watering it only when the leaves are curled up.
I adore this plant!😍 I saw my first scindapsis in a doctor's office this past June and just HAD to find one for myself, after a couple weeks I ended up finding one a two hour drive away, so worth it, went back and got another one different variety🥰 My new favorite for sure!

@@JillThornton Hey Jill. Sorry I don't sell plants overseas and I'm from Singapore. I'm just a hobbyist who loves plants 😃
@@guywithaplant oh good for you! I applaud that. it is a nice plant I enjoy and hope to find someone to share cuttings.
@@JillThornton thank you 😊 Yes, i really like this Scindapsus, even though it's a common plant. Truly understated.
