All about HOUSEPLANTS! Propagation, plant reviews, plant tours etc. Hi I'm Dennis, a mildy obsessed plant hobbyist who is always getting another Philodendron and always poking his finger into the potting medium. This disease started with the end of the lockdown here in Singapore and moving into a new place with a balcony with glorious morning sun. The Monstera deliciosa is the first love. Followed by another four others...and then a 'few' others...If you enjoy random plant videos and what not to do to your houseplants, do tune in! I can't guarantee good advice (still very much a green newbie) but there will be drama, I'm sure. If you consider root rot as drama, that is 😆

@guywithaplant I still struggle a bit with scindapsus. I literally just put some newly potted struggling ones in tree fern fiber. Fingers crossed 🤞🏽
Fingers crossed! I do notice some varieties are easier than others. The fully silver ones like silver hero and the thinner leaves ones like hederaceus are fussier when it comes to watering and light.
@guywithaplant Dennis, I have the silver hero, and that's the one that was looking pitiful. The tree fern and PON topping were my last resort, and one day later it's looking like it is happy 😊
I have a pot of the silver hero and the upside of this Scindapsus is that it is expressive when it's thirsty. You can definitely tell with their curled up leaves. Great that yours is doing better 🙂

I had the same issue with this kind of hoya. She is not big on too much light. I wrongly moved to more light and it was a disaster. Once she got back to her old spot, she started growing. So I decided to leave her alone where she is happy. 😊
I couldn't save mine 😞 it deteriorated over time. It was such a beautiful Hoya.

Hi. New to your channel. I have this anthurium for a year now from a small plant, we call it “necktie”. It has bloomed for me 3x since, very cute small inflorescences. I grow it as a hanging plant in medium indirect sunlight. Like yours, my potting medium is chunky aroid mix, and sphagnum moss on top for moisture retention. It’s big now, but I’m very wary about propagating it, so I have to see if you have done it. I’m bingeing on your vids today LOL
Hi Maria, thanks for watching and subscribing 🙂 What a cute name for this Anthurium! I managed to separate them into 2 pots but gave one away when I moved. The remaining one was growing very well with big leaves but unfortunately it started going downhill in the past year with spider mite outbreak. It is still alive but dropped most of its leaves. The newer leaves are smaller. I do need to give it a repot, now that you mention. What other Anthuriums do you keep? Thanks again for watching.
