Matt, I’m one of your older viewers, and by that I mean I’m old. I am your dad’s age. The years in which your dad and I were raised were simple, and you didn’t really have to worry about your neighbors or people for that matter. But my grandkids, a couple of them in their late teens and early twenties, who have social media pages, have had problems with psychos stalking them. But you being as big a media presence, I can only imagine the hell you and your family have been through. When you bought the abandoned mansion I thought that was a smart move, on a hilltop and all. The main thing is your number one concern is your family, and your family you protect with your life. God’s blessings to you all.

He lost his vet license by trying to perform surgery on his wife. The judge said dog surgery and human surgery aren't the same. He is out on bail and will most likely go to prison. His wife lost the use of one of her legs because of him. That is why she will no longer appear in videos. Neither will he once he is locked up.

As much as I loved seeing Mere and the kids on the channels, I fully understand your decisions and am glad that you guys made the call to put some distance between your family and the internet. Keeping them safe is more important than the entertainment of a bunch of internet denizens, and even more than continuing a passion project.
It's tough to turn your back on something that you've put a lot of work and passion into, but at the end of the day, choosing to protect your family is definitely the right call. We nine hundred and ninety nine normal, reasonable viewers will still be thinking about them and wishing them well even without seeing them in videos 😊

If you don't already Have a couple of good Size guard dogs. I recommend you get some. Just the presence of a couple of large sized dogs will definitely deter trespassers.
This is the most nuanced and adult view on the negative sides of a social media presence I have seen. You guys' decision is understandable and although your great family dynamics made for wholesome and entertaining videos, you are doing the right thing. Ones family needs to be safe and sometimes that takes sacrifice.
I'll still be a, mostly, silent enjoyer of your content and am looking forward to all the other crazy projects you have planned in the future.

I am so sorry for Mere and for her passion project. As a mom and a wife and married to a person with such a big personality, I can see why she loved her special project. Plus, the products are amazing, I bought them for my teenage daughter who is a dancer and the quality can't be beat. I'm sure you probably talked about this, but why not just rebrand it to bunker branding and continue selling it? If she just wants to retire or just handle things behind the scenes that's one thing, but you made it sound like she really enjoyed it and that would be one way you could keep it going without putting the rest of the family in the limelight
Mere and the kids have been one of my favourite parts of this channel and it's a shame that this is how it has ended up, I sympathise with your situation and think this is 100% the right move.

They’re stalking some TH-camr. Do you really think they’re smart enough to decide stalking a TH-camr is in bounds but somehow realize a one with guns isn’t the best target?
I know of a number of TH-cam families that have had to curb their filming and videos because some people just are so entitled that they think they somehow own you or that you owe them something. Nothing is more important that your family and keeping them safe. Worst case scenario is that you go back to being a full-time vet. I love your family and videos. Keep them coming. Of course those of us that watch Vet Ranch miss him over there in spite of the fact that the other doctors are doing just fine.
Really sad to hear. My lincactive shorts are my favorites. They got me through my first 5k, all the way through training and running my first marathon. They’ll stick with me for many more races ❤ But family first, do what feels best for you guys, we will always be here to support you!

I discovered your TH-cam channel back in 2020 when you starting your Abandoned Mansion series. It was wonderful and it helped me get through a lot of the covid lockdowns. Since then, I have very much enjoyed your videos, but I have to say, in the beginning, I was a bit surprised at how much you put your family out there.
Matt, I got an email reply from you requesting we talk privately on Te-legram. I'm not familiar with that app. A search didn't return anything with that spelling. Also, your reply didn't some up on "this" conversation and that makes me suspicious. Same, I have fond memories of watching his videos while eating lunch in college.
I used to get 50-200 views on my videos and would never see a nasty comment.
When I started getting 1000-3000 views, I might see one once in awhile.
When I had some get 10k-30k, there would be 2 or 3.
When I had a video hit half a million views, there were probably 20-30 mentally deranged people that made themselves known.
When you extrapolate that out to how many people are on Earth, it becomes scary to know that even though it is a small percentage overall, it’s still a very massive number.
Not having them on the videos will not change anything your talking about though
