Everytime I see the Whitlock boys they remind me of the King brothers. For mine, that makes me concerned about their physicality as I think the King brothers really struggle with that side of the game.
Big fan of Kayle Gerreyn. Think he has as high of an upside as any of the talls in this draft. Think he'd be talked about way more if he was playing in VIC. Certainly isn't a safe pick but I reckon he is worth the risk.
@@Benny71453 yeah I rate him highly! Agree with your takes there! Maybe only question would be actual position at AFL, probably won’t play ruck so will be a full time fwd. has a lot of attributes though
@@chriskelly9476 hearing about concussion problems, since we traded away our late picks that tells me we may not go after him, unless we rookie list him if he doesn’t get drafted
Damn if Harry Armstrong is still there with Port’s pick, they would be mad not to consider drafting him especially with his ability to take contested marks. Only issue is that would mean port will not look to reinvent how they move the ball inside 50 and simply bomb it in as usual.
I find it hard to believe Harry Armstrong will slide that far, if he doesn't go late top 10, I think he we be in the next few picks. Key FWD's don't grow on trees, I would like him at 10 or 11, not sure if he last that long though, we seriously need to replace Jack Riewoldt. Jeremy Cameron was a low disposal player for the first few years, which is who Lloyd compared him to not sure if his talking up his Haileybury college boy.
@@Aka_daka yeah that’s absolutely fair, I think needs will mean that he goes earlier. This video is just me purely ranking the players as I would pick them. I’ll do a mock in the coming weeks and we’ll get down to where they go 😀
We got Lefau and Bauer playing well and hopefully Lynch for 1-2 years. I think we can wait till next year for a forward. Armstrong isn't worth top 10, whilst his stats are good he has had the best midfield feeding him the ball in the top team which is something to consider.
Reckon in the draft he's top 10 based on club need - Richmond, Melbourne, or St Kilda will grab him somewhere in that block of picks they control between 5 and 10. And it'll be an interesting bit of brinkmanship as to just how high he goes. Will Melbourne pull the trigger on him at 5 if one of FOS, Jagga, Langford, Lalor, Draper or Smillie is available? Likewise, will Richmond pounce at 6 if the Dees take the midfield option? But on a talent ranking basis, its a fair call that this year's midfield crop get ahead.
@@bobcat718 Fair call. And thats the difficulty Richmond will face in allocating their bounty of draft picks. Would you rather Armstrong at 6, or risk him going to St Kilda with the next two picks or even Melbourne at 9? That would almost certainly leave the Tigers needing to take a tall forward at 10 or 11. The worst case scenario could be Melbourne and St Kilda take both Armstrong and Shanahan off the market with those picks. Not saying they're the best players, but its based on need. Chances are they'll both look at landing a midfielder and KPP with their 2 top 10 picks. I can't help but wonder if Richmond are still talking to North about a pick swap for #2 to get around this and land the best 2 mids, Armstrong at 6, and still be the race for Trainor, Travaglia or Berry. Its such a strong draft hand they've got.
@@richardbehan8118 no I’m definitely not saying that. I think because he’s a small fwd there are several teams interested. This is just my rankings, and I have him around 15. Btw I’m a massive fan. Just have some other mids ahead that not all clubs would.

When do you post Part 3: 31-45 ranked players?
Thank you for the awesome content. I was wondering How you rate the Whitlock brothers compared with Ben and Max King at the same age?

Would love to See Gerryn in the Richmond Colours and Jack Whitlock
I’m kinda disappointed that the draft has reduced in size recently. But I think a big part of that is attributable to the reduced list sizes 😊

nice, west coast really needs another pick in the 20's this draft, hopefully they can trade in
Yeah they’ll be keen I reckon, I expect a lot of talls to go around there
We also need one in the 40s/50s for Champion. No idea why we gave up 63 and 68 when we gave an academy player to likely match a bid on 🙄
