  • Hello and welcome back to another video tutorial with me Andrew!
    In this tutorial I'll be showing you how to use the mirror feature, linear pattern, polar pattern and multi-transform which also includes the scale tool!
    This video is slightly longer than usual, as I was trying to fir as much information in as possible...I still think I could've got even more in, but thought I better leave it at 16 minutes long! :D
    Thank you for taking the time to watch my video, I really appreciate it! Have an awesome weekend! :)

    Thank you for the help. Please continue to spread knowledge about this impressive program! I just learned about datum behavior, and now I can space front panel slots with ease for my enclosures!

      @@AndrewCAD This reminds me of the lovely little program "oneko". Also, thanks for this video! It keeps a respectful pace while explaining quirks. I didn't know sketch construction lines were accessible in the mirror transform, that's bound to come in handy at some point.

    Great coverage, learning this to leverage my 3D printers. So far have made a port and cover for shore power for my van, and my most complex part, a new window actuator carriage part for the car, which can be mirrored for the other door, so am good to go for any future breaks so I can print a $1 plastic part, rather than buy a $50 part. The hardest part I'm struggling with at this point is the somewhat confusing order of entries in the Model hierarchy of features to go back and edit something, or add a feature at a specific stage in the design...
    Can't wait until the new AI kicks in on all this, and we can basically take a few photos of a part, add a few dimensions for scale, and have the AI create the part for us. Likely only a year or so away given how ChatGPT and the others are exploding now. 2023 will be the year we get these AI systems be released for various specialized fields, so am excited to see one for CAD and then 3D printing to appear.

    Thumbs up for asking for thumbs down XD. And of course for another great tutorial. FreeCAD can be sometimes really annoying if you don't know basic features... That's when you come in. Great channel, very helpful. I hope it'll grow, so more and more people can get to know how to design in FreeCAD.

    If your suspicion is correct, going back to the pocket in question and changing it to a dimension rather than "through all" should correct the array

    Hi, how come I can only see 0.18.4 on the site?

    • @AndrewCAD
      @AndrewCAD  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good morning motojc! 0.18.4 is the latest version available on the FreeCAD website, however, 0.19 test is available for download on Github. The reason it's not on the website yet, is because they're still bug testing it. Hope this helps 😁
