1. Why do you want to go to US
2. Where in US you are planning to go
3. If you have mentioned the name of a friend/relative in the DS160 form they might ask how he is related and what he does there -Its better not to mention your close relatives resides there.
3. What do you do here/Who is your employer
4. If u r not taking family they ask why u r not taking them
5. Which countries you have visited in the last 2-3 years - List them the name of countries
6. Have you visited Iran(they might ask nowadays)
If you have answered all the above questions confidently and you have proper supporting documents(Bank documents/ Income tax/ Employer letter) they will tell you "Congratulations you have been awarded the US visa and wait for the courier to contact you"
Also as Baiju sir mentioned how strong your relations is with your residing country increases the chances of getting US visa by 90% and rest all are for formality unless there are ill intentions and they understand them.
The interviewer understands how genuine by you are by looking at you for few seconds and the best part with US visa is that you don't want all those dummy tickets, hotel reservations shit like the Schengen and UK visas.

Usually, a foreign country's embassy is located at the capital city of the host country and consulates are located at major cities of the host countries. So, there is a difference between an embassy and a consulate. Biju has confused the audience.
When the Consular Officer asked Biju to apply for a Journalist's visa, he should have clearly told him that he is interested only in a visitor visa just to visit the country, not a visa normally granted to the journalists.
The criteria for getting a U.S. visitor visa issued is convincing the interviewing officer (Consular Officer) that the applicant would return to India on completion of visit to the U.S.
It is easy to get a visitor visa for a relative of a U.S. immigrant visa holder or a U.S. citizen, provided that the applicant is over 55 years old, he/she has an invitation letter and an Affidavit of Support (I-134) with supporting documents, such as the job letter, bank statement, and assets of the sponsor.
However, in order to promote tourism, U.S. tourist visas are also issued to financially sable applicants who could prove that they would return to India after visiting the U.S. For this, the applicants should submit the application online, pay the fees, and submit the originals of job letter (showing title and salary), banks statements, and an asset certificate (prepared by a Chartered Accountant). The asset certificate should show the applicant's ownership and value of the property/home, vehicle, etc. The originals of the supporting documents must be produced at the time of interview.
It is also easy to get visitor visas under the group travel scheme. For this, an applicant must contact large travel agencies or tour operators, such as Thomas Cook, SOTC, Riya Travel, etc. In this case, the travel agent's agent in the U.S. would make sure that the visitors would return to India upon completion of their tour. However, the applicants mus submit supporting documents of stable jobs, asset certificate, etc.
However, it is difficult to get a visitor visa for doctors, nurses, and software engineers, because there is a shortage of such jobs in the U.S., and the the Consular Officers assume that these category of visitors might stay back in the U.S and/ or convert their visas.
Even though the validity of the U.S. visitor visa is 10 years, a visitor can stay in the U.S. only for six months at a time. Many people misuse this period by working in the U.S. illegally in Indian stores/restaurants who exploit the illegal immigrants by forcing them to work seven days a week for up to 15 hours a day. Some employers do not even pay the salary on time.
A few employers sponsor the employees for immigrant visas, if they could pay the attorney/lawyer fees, applications fees, and other expenses in connection with the sponsorship.
The 10-year visitor visa is a reciprocal agreement between the U.S. and India. That is why both the Indian and U.S. citizens are granted 10-year visas by the respective countries. But at a time, a visitor can stay in a country only for six months.
However, a U.S. citizen of Indian origin could apply for Overseas Citizen of India or OCI (permanent visa) or register his/her name after arrival in India (usually within 15 days of arrival) at the offices of Foreigners Regional Registration Offices (FRRO) in Kerala or at other Indian cities. In Kerala, FRRO officecs are located at Kozhikode, Kochi, and Trivandrum. At other places, a visitor could apply for registration at the offices of the Police Superintendent or City Police Commissioner.
But Indian visitors do not have such rights to register or extend their visa/stay in the U.S.

ഇനി വിസിറ്റ് visa കിട്ടി എന്ന് കരുതി അമേരിക്കയിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കാം എന്ന് കരുതരുത്. എയർപോർട്ടിൽ എമിഗ്രേഷൻ ഓഫീസർ വീണ്ടും question ചെയ്യും. സംശയം തോന്നിയാൽ അടുത്ത ഫ്‌ളൈറ്റിൽ തിരിച്ചു വിടാൻ അവർക്കു അധികാരം ഉണ്ട്. ഈ കാര്യം visa issue ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ തന്നെ അതിൽ ഒരു കുറിപ്പ് ഉണ്ടാകും.
