In India, something like this happened in past but in India we have rationing shop( where you get essential food items at subsidised cost) network which is utilized in such circumstances. Now hardly anyone goes to Rationing shop except for rice and most important Kerosene in slum or low income group areas but till 40 yrs back, even a middle class family use to buy rice, sugar and wheat quota from ration shop.
Subsidised rate was in Cong era, Modi made it free so that LOW income families can have disposable income
Yes true. Question is not about congress or BJP. The basic fact is from day one, Nehru and his cabinet along with beurocracy put india on a path with socialist bend. That is the reason we had network of food corporation of india godowns, procurement of food grains from farmers, and huge network of public distribution system( rationing shop). Those like me in our late fifties still remember inspite of belonging to middle class standing in que particularly during diwali period to get rawa, sugar, rice, dalda, oil at very subsidised rate. You must remember the basic difference between india and Pakistan is the caliber of founding father of both the nation. Modiji could give it free to the poor because the system was there already in place.

7 Dominance of Punjab over other regions of Pakistan.

Nu body is interested to handle scenario. Actually none system existence presently. In early to mid 1980 almost 99% shops were used to be closed by 20:00 pm and late opener shop owners were challaned by munispilty.

Instead of using natural light and wasting electricity Pakistanis have to change themselves.Sleep early and thus wake up early.I saw in Lahore families enjoying dinners at 2.30 AM!And as Zaidi sahib suggest shopkeepers have to be in the tax net.Sorry for interfering in your affairs but I suggested what is logical.

The current ruling party in India is almost a mirror image of the Pakistani extremists - anti-science, pro-superstition, pro-hate. Millions of educated Indians are fleeing the country just like educated people are fleeing Pakistan.
If interest is stoped where will the retired go? Government will give monthly payouts for their survival and free medical etc?

I disagree with his approach k they are Mafia. There should be a mechanism to bring change in masses. For example, pharmacies are included in the tax net systematically. But, you have to adopt a strategic approach to achieve this target instead of by imposing tax just to meet tax collection target.
Most importantly, do state offer protection to its Citizens. Think twice before saying yes. Reconsider your thoughts and visit families who suffered in past few years.
P.S. I respect his idea and would appreciate if someone could debate on this topic to have a balance discussion.
Same state of affair is prevalent here in India too. The babus,as we call them, have become the middlemen between the government and the beneficiaries. The live on bribe not the salary.

4:45 ...You will find solutions in Qur'an in many places. As one example surah Shams 91 : Ayah 7 & 8. It is up to the individual , if you fear Allah, to control the Nafs and partake in what is right and abstain from what is wrong. This is the only solution worldwide and it is the Islamic solution. It has the power to bring the state to its knees whereby order is restored.

What he was talking about the traders is a reality and a mindset of rich & influential people of Punjabis & Sindhis. They don’t care about the ordinary people and very selfish. They are powerful to organise anything which makes the state standstill.
Let me tell about recent farmers agitation in India. Modi government had brought farm laws to remove the mediators and mandis unjustifiable advantage in farming sector where real farmers are not getting even 10% of money of the yield which they have produced. The issue is of Those landlords, Mandi running mediators had started agitation. They misguided poor farmers and influenced with many means. Funding was done by Khalistanis & some other elements like Soros who wanted to create issues against Modi government.
Matter has gone to Supreme Court and Court was convinced about the laws. But all of a sudden, Government had withdrawn these laws , may be because some intelligence inputs.
But I think the money trail from Canada and west are being investigated and different approaches may be taken very soon. The difference here is Government is having strong intentions to bring technology and modern setup in farming sector.
So we can understand the pain and despair of a nationalist here. ❤

Pakistan tax collection is a meagre 40 billion USD.
So basically Pakistan population is 1/5th of India. But it's tax collection is only 1/10th of India.
