      I mean, he wasn't wrong. Hell, when he came back from the wall and passed by winterfell with a gift to Bran (so that Bran could be able to ride a horse after his injury), Robb treated him with disgust and contempt for no other reason than that Ned had obviously told him about Tywin and Jaime.
      And once Robb realised the unjust insult he had given Tyrion and tried to start treating Tyrion as an actual guest, Tyrion just blew him off and left.

    I always thought the "bastard names" were interesting (I also have an inherent fascination with names in general). Something interesting, I live in a coastal city in China, and there's an orphanage nearby; all of the children who wind up there are given the family name "海 (hǎi)" meaning "sea" or "ocean" in Chinese. I never found out exactly why the orphanage director did that, but it reminded me of this.

    • @Michaelonyoutub
      @Michaelonyoutub 4 ปีที่แล้ว +38

      thats sounds pretty cool. I have always love names that are not based on like "who your father was" and are based on something else like an occupation, place, or some other cool thing. Those kinds of names always seems to have some interesting story behind them if you go back far enough which makes history more interesting. Those kids will likely grow up and may find other people with the name "海" and they might find out they also had the same upbringing, giving them an instant deep connection to that other person

    • @LightDragon777
      @LightDragon777 4 ปีที่แล้ว +40

      @@Michaelonyoutub I think part of the reason the director gave them that family name was so they would feel like a "family" with the other kids at the orphanage who shared that name.

    • @steelbear2063
      @steelbear2063 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I mean it's the orphanage, many kids don't really have any last names, so you just give them something. My friend's grandpa was from an orphanage and they gave him the last name of his favorite teacher. Or something like that, I don't exactly remember all the details, but anyway yes, just give them something, it doesn't really matter all that much

    • @PointlessRhetoric
      @PointlessRhetoric 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's interesting. I never really thought about it the fact that people have a family name almost everywhere in the world I assume. it's kind of interesting considering the supposed vast differences between cultures. I need to read up on some of this stuff I guess I've been aware that some families run matriarchally and most run patriarchally but I just never really took the time to delve into that subject.

How could we at these days still think of people as "talentless, damaged, not special in any way" just because their parents didn't ask the government, or better a dude that makes you believe he's sent by god, a piece of paper that says 'now you are a good homologated couple' before you were born. @@darko-man8549 Game of thrones worst seasons were still better than most television at the same time. Although I will admit the Sansa Ramsey storyline was poor as well as the Dornish plot. Either way the point stands the the hate for D&D is unreasonable.

    • @darko-man8549
      @darko-man8549 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Christian B disagree that the worst was still better than most as an argument pro-GoT’s later seasons. The characters in seasons 7 & 8 are falling apart, consistency is out the window, the writing is not nearly as good, it relies more on battles. Someone made an excellent video on how the Dragons are used to emotionally manipulate us (not in a good writing sort of way). Just because it is Better than 50% of the huge amount of things made for TV does not make it good.

    Rickon will be lord of Winterfell
    Jon will die after the fight against white walkers (Dany and YG also will die) . Sansa will rule Vale (i know Robin is her cousin,but that is not big deal)
    -Gendry and Arya will marry to reunite North and South (King and Queen)
    -Edric will get Stroms End.
    - Edmur will rule Riverlands.
    -Tyron will rule Westerlands
    - Dorne will go to Alleine
    -Reach i rly dont have strong oppinion
    People who knows about Gendry are Stannis and Varys, Stannis cares about rules and he knows Gendry is the oldest Robert son, Stannis will propably die, but he will spread out the word . Varys in other hand support YG, but YG is propably FAegon (BlackFyre), dragon will be his test and dragon will kill him ( Quentyn had Targeryan blood but its was to much diluted) so Varys will support Gendry more than Targeryans. If Varys supports BlackFyre , he would rather have Robert bastard than Targeryans on the throne.

    George strongly suggests that Jon would end up on Castle Black one way or another, for such was the jealousy of Catelyn Stark and her paranoid fear that her husband's bastard would one day supplant Robb's claim to Winterfell. By choosing to go out on his own volition, Jon saved Ned out of a lot of trouble. If Cat took one moment to look at Robb and Jon she should know that this couldn't ever happen. Near the end of his pife, fearing what may happen to his cause should he die in battle, Robb made secret testament, which by his rights as a king, he legitimated Jon and urged him to take his place if that ever happend
