I don't think the athletic realise how much a turn off the americans are in their promotions and podcasts to a football audience. they ruined several of their podcasts by putting in clueless american producers and presenters, we just don't want their influence in the European game.

they were sold to the athletic (owned by the new york times). all the fun tifo irl stuff has gone, the podcast has become dry as dust, and there are irritating americans all over the place. in short, yes, they sold out. at least JJ Bull is still there though.
