Has Tie Dye ever went out of fashion? I remember doing it when I was little. Then I have done it with my children and now my grandchildren. They have all loved it and wear their tie dyes. 😉
Hello I love all your DIY videos. When I buy new clothes with a bright colour I always but it in vinagre for a night so the colours stays. Maybe you can do this too for your colouring. Xxx Kristel ( from Antwerp, Belgium)
OmG🥰 where have you been all my DIY LIFE. (You tube why haven't she been a recommendation?!🤔) I fell in love ❤ after 1 video definitely a subscriber. Your energy is life. The ink blot is my favorite.
HEY ORLY! I love your channel. Can you please record a DIY Tut’ adding Faux and/or Real Fur on Hoods and Sleeve Cuffs? I have an old fur coat. Trust nothing Majestic just basic and not salvageable. So I thought it would be great to add some of it to my Puffy Parka and Bomber in place of just trashing it.
Use metal tongs to flip and you can avoid cross contamination of colors, just put tongs in a tall plastic cup full of water to rinse in-between uses, kinda like rinsing a paint brush. 💙
I love love love these! I'm definitely gonna keep my eyes peeled for some all natural sets and that tulip tie dye kit is awesome! I used it for a "work station" for my cousins baby shower for her custom onesies!
Great idea for Christmas gifts! The only word of caution on using 100% bleach, and it might not apply as the sweatshirt and beanie are thicker materials, but on T-shirts that I reverse tie-dyed started getting small holes after half a dozen washes and one almost looks shredded now as the bleach damaged the cotton.
Hi...subscribed earlier this week I think. Super fun!! Had to tone down my amazon cart...breathe...remember you work full time! Pick 1 craft and go from there!! Definitely picked up my spirits- you and your family are darling. TRP
I love these !!! I have shirts and dye bought now I have to get some beanies as well. Thanks for all of the wonderful diy's I just love your channel ❤ !!!
These are so cool! I think if you had called them tie dyed ‘toques’ or even hats you would’ve gotten a ton of Canadians like me hooked instantly! Saw you talking about how this video tanked and I was like what? How did I miss it! But took me a long time to find it because we don’t call them beanies🤣🤣love them!
Love this!!! I bought the powder dye you suggested in the other reverse tie dye video but haven't used it yet. I may have to break it out for some last minute gifts!!!
That padded sweatshirt is 🔥! Looks great on you, but I have an athletic build with broad shoulders 😂 I may try it out though! Love this idea for presents! Love the yellow and denim blue! Olive green is my fav color! Thanks for the hint.
It's worth mentioning that protein fibers (wool, silk, fur, etc) will require different types of dye than plant fibers (cotton, linen, hemp) and the same is true for synthetics (nylon, poly, etc). If you use the wrong dye it might not take properly in the first place, or the color might not set and could continually bleed off/stain things afterward (like the socks did). So make sure you get the proper type of dye for your base fiber. (It should say somewhere on the package.)
Amazing tutorial, great way to up cycle accessories or doubles. I would put a patch, small patches or rhinestones on the ombré bleached spots. Love your channel ❤️
I love tye die so YES!!!! 🖤🖤 PS. Im totally here for the Santa hat!!! I buy a new one almost every year. I like different colors or sports teams. So now I'll make my own tye die one!
I'm really bummed that you didn't go into more detail on how you made the Santa hat. It is so unique and one of my favorites although they all turned out great.
These are so cute!! Orly, check out Melly Sews blog for diy to make your own beanie. SUPER EASY instructions. You could upcycle an old sweatshirt or whatever.
The CDC has stated that neck-gaiter masks don't do anything about preventing the spread of disease. (But they're easier for me to breathe through.) I used to be a hippie, back in the dim past, and I tie-died a lot of things. When my son was in high school, he had a black t-shirt that was uncomfortable to wear on sunny days ("I'm a solar-powered kid!"). I reverse tie-died it, and the black faded to an interesting bark brown color.
Your positivity and positive energy can turn mountains over. Thanks for being there.
Those tiny bleach stains on the purple beanie... The PERFECT places to add some tiny gems. A little sparkle would look AMAZING on that hat. 💎
I always feel like the home and family sessions are rushed. That's why I like your channel more. :)

Oh Orly you are the queen of diy.
Another winner! Hallmark channel should make a rom com starring you!

Great tip! starting with a thicker garment and washing quickly should help

How would you do this technique to a felt/wool hat like the black one you are wearing towards the end of the video?
Don’t think I’ve ever hit *Subscribe* so quickly. ~♥️~
Cool stuff! Looking forward to back watching your entire video library.
