Hi SCB i have two suggestions for what ifs: What if Hermione confronted Lupin about him being a werewolf in POA, or if she even just told Ron and Harry? What if Lupin didnt forget about his wolfbane potion that night and didnt transform, Pettigrew probably wouldnt have escaped, etc Needless to say I'm a Lupin stan
if Lupin didn't forget to take the wolfbane: 1) Sirius would be proven to be innocent. 2) peter wouldn't be able to help bring voldemort back to life. 3) harry won't be the fourth champion since there will be no plan to kidnap harry so cedric won't die. 4) no dumbledore's army since there will be no umbridge because harry won't claim voldemort is back. 5) no voldemort plan to trick harry into recovering the prophecy so sirius won't fall through the veil. 6) no mass break of azkaban since there won't be a voldemort to stage it. 7) Draco won't be tasked by voldemort to kill Dumbledore (but dumbledore will still be killed by snape) 8) Voldemort won't make snape the headmaster of hogwarts so McGonagall will become headmistress. 9) Harry will go to hogwarts to finish his studies before going horcrux hunting. 10) Harry never finds he's a horcrux nor let's voldemort kill him. 11) when harry dies, so will the last horcrux killing voldemort for real before he got a new body. but, most importantly, Snape's true colors would never be revealed/believed so he will spend the rest of his days on the run to avoid being sent to azkaban for murdering dumbledore. it's a shame Lupin forgot the wolfbane.
You're assuming that Barty Crouch Jr won't end up taking Wormtail's role in the story. After all, it's established that he was starting to fight back against the Imperius Curse. Eventually, he would succeed in overpowering his father and escape to find Voldemort and bring the Dark Lord back to power.
@@MulanBelle just a small detail. if barty is taking the place of wormtail, who would be impersonating alastor to ensure Harry is the one that wins the triwizard?
@DanielRossellSolanes Perhaps in this scenario Voldy doesn't use the Tournament and instead has Crouch Jr kidnap Harry during a Hogsmeade visit or something like that.
could a coat be an invisibility coat if its a normal one under the fidelius charm? Because it should be invisible to anyone but the owner so anything beneath it as well. Yes it would work differently than the "normal" one but still. I wonder if this would be possible🤔
I would think that rather than being invisible, people just dont notice it. They would still see the person, they just wouldnt notice they were wearing a coat
Why does Sirius always need to die in your theories? Also: Why didnt Hagrid give baby Harry to Sirius to raise when Voldemort struck on Harrys parents? The story would have been different, but better.
Does the “rightful owner of the cloak” means it is also make it sound proof? But in the movie - when Harry used it and gasped - Snape heard him… right? If not, baby Harry would probably be crying. So V could just pull off the cloak and kill him, no?
The actual answer is probably that Neville becomes the chosen one. Both Harry and Neville fit the prophecy except for the line about The Dark Lord marking them as an equal. After failing to find Harry he would go to the Longbottom house and either Alice or Frank protects Neville the same way Lily did.
Loved this! It's interesting to see that most things would have happened one year earlier than they originally did. I wonder though how Harry's relatively uneventful 2nd and 3rd years would have gone on to shape him, and who the Defence against the Dark Arts teachers in years 1-4 would have been.
I have a theory idea: What if James kept the Invisibility cloak and harry potter was put in Slytherin. PS why isn't harry in Slytherin he never got the ammo to say not Slytherin because you said in the what if harry was sorted into Slytherin series (loved it BTW) that if harry never met draco in diagon Alley he would not say not Slytherin.
If Moody's eye can see through walls, and the room of requirement is being used as a "somewhere that can't be found" room, can Moody see through the wall into the room?
I always found it dumb that moodys eye can see through the cloak, makes no sense to me. Makes something super powerful negated so easily, how hard would it be to have your eyes replaced?
I was re-reading Goblet of Fire the other day and a solid What If scenario occurred to me: What If Frank Bryce got out of the Riddle House before Nagini spotted him and reported what he heard to the police? I imagine the Ministry has ears in Scotland Yard and might hear about it also. What then?
I've long had the same headcanon about the cloak: that its power is not to make you immune to all damage (it can't be; he's been hit with spells while under the cloak before, like Malfoy's Body Bind Curse on the Hogwarts Express), but just immune to all magical methods of undoing concealment. As for how Moody's magical eye was able to see through the cloak, my personal theory is that Moody/Crouch couldn't ACTUALLY see Harry. He could just see there was a cloak, and a big void in space where a person should be, and he just DEDUCED it was Harry because Snape at some point told him in the staff room that Harry had an unusually powerful invisibility cloak. Another possibility is that Moody/Crouch could see Harry because Harry trusted him and thus the cloak wasn't concealing him at full power.
Fun storyline, but in Prisoner of Azkaban, Lupin did see cloaked Harry on the Marauder’s map. Semi plot hole given the later significance placed on the cloak.
Malfoy hitting Harry just by catching a glance of his foot earlier, is probably more hard to square with Mr. Lovegood’s description of “constant and impenetrable concealment, no matter what spells are cast at it”, or with Dumbledore’s claim that it “can be used to protect and shield”.
The incident with Malfoy contradicts Ron’s claim that “we’ve never been spotted under it”. This has to be changed for the cloak to be something that Harry “had never seen anything to equal”,-a description that better fits the Marauder’s map, that thing is ridiculous.
I'm at 37 minutes right now. Few questions - 1. I'm assuming since Voldy didn't fall, Wormtail didn't get cornered by Sirius and Sirius didn't go to Azkaban. Where is Sirius now? - answered at 50 minutes 2. The confirmation from Slughorn's memory about multiple horcruxes. How does Dumbledore conclude that there are more than one? - answered later 😂
James wouldve gave it to Lily and she would've escaped with Harry. James would've been matyred but Voldemorts power would've continued to grow. Until they couldn't escape him.
Questions: 1 What would happen if the trace was triggered in a fidelius charmed house would it work? 2 What would happen if you polyjuiced into a viela are they the same species? It works when Fleur does it and she’s 1/4 Viela???
I’m excited to listen to this story. However, 5 minutes in… the cloak doesn’t make its wearer unfindable. 1. Moody can see through the cloak. 2. The marauder’s map can find Harry when he’s under the cloak. 3. Dementors find him through the cloak. Dumbledore also gives Harry the warning in book 3 that his cloak won’t work on dementors-and that’s after Dumbledore knows that the cloak is a hallow. We don’t have any evidence that the cloak makes Harry unfindable. On the contrary, every example seems to suggest the opposite.
8 minutes in - Harry’s dead if Voldemort destroys the house 😅 a backfiring curse that takes out Voldy and the house is different than Voldemort consciously destroying the thing with the intention of killing a hidden infant inside.
I’ve had a theory that I’ve been sitting on for a while. If the Elder Wand’s got a thestral hair core, what if the invisibility cloak is made of thestral hair? I mean, thestrals are invisible, and so is the invisibility cloak.
What about that one scene where Harry is under the cloak sneaking around at night, and he stumbles upon Snape threatening Quirrel? Snape very clearly noticed Harry’s presence, and the only way Harry escaped discovery was by backing away before Snape’s probing hand could make contact with the cloak.
When Voldemort created an 8 horcrux with the Sword when the goblet, ring, and the diary are destroyed. What stops him from just always having 7 horcruxs. Whenever one is destroyed, he can just create another one, right?
No he can't as Hermione says he's pushed his soul to the limit him just making 5 rendered his soul so unstable that his killing curse rebounding on him blasted out a piece of soul & turned Harry into an accidental horcrux (altho I DO wonder how much of that was because voldy was preparing to make a horcrux & had completed the process up to the point of commiting the murder)
I love what ifs videos 💚 Now only need there take on what is siruis was proven innocent, both during back in the trial and at the end of POA. unless it exists already?
In this story, it's comedic how many times Voldemort fails to kill Harry in extremely public setting. Harry tanks a killing curse at the world cup, gets blocked by the twin cores in the forest, hit by golden fire in the minestry, kills his own soul in the castle, then gets backfired on seconds later.
The Invisibility Cloak is a Deathly Hallow. Harry had access to all three. The Elder Wand after disarming Draco, and the Resurrection Stone in the Golden Snitch so he could resurrect himself so the Horcrux could be destroyed when Voldemort killed Harry. At one point, Harry was potentially the most powerful wizard.
I like thinking of these theories as real books that could have been sold and were successful. Like there's a Harry Potter book where there's a whole tournament storyline that the main character is just not a part of.
Love these videos!! Would love to see ‘What If’ videos on… 1) What if Lily escaped with Harry the night Voldemort attacked? 2) What if Harry’s horcrux was sentient like the diary? 3) What if Dumbledore raised/trained Harry?
Imagine Ron and Hermione being there in the woods of the Quidditch World Cup with Harry when Voldemort appears. Voldemort singles out Harry and shoots him with the killing curse, then almost instantly vanishes when his soul is ripped from his body. Imagine the horror Ron and Hermione experienced when Harry was shot, then their absolute joy and equal bewilderment when they find out he’s still alive.
Honestly, the most unrealistic part of this is that Fleur would be interested in Harry because he's popular. Everyone wants to make her out to be super shallow just because she's beautiful. But her loyalty to Bill after he got his face mangled was supposed to show that she isn't superficial after all. Also, Harry was 14 while Fleur was 17 at the time 🤔
What if Draco Malfoy Had Attended Durmstrang instead of Hogwarts? I believe that Draco brings up in The Goblet Of Fire that his father, Lucius, was initially intent upon his son gaining his education at a school which actively taught the Dark Arts, not to mention the fact that I got Karkaroff, a supposedly ex-Death Eater, was serving as its headmaster since sometime after his capture and Ministry trial/hearing? It was only Narcissa Malfoy's reservations about her boy/beloved son being so far away from her on the European Continent, since I think Durmstrang is in a centuries-old Norwegian castle or something like that, which prompted Lucius to send his son to the same institution him, and, at least so far as we are aware and know, all previous generations of Malfoys that came, lived, and went before them? Would Draco still meet Harry in Madame Malkin's Robes For All Occasions at all? If not, then perhaps we get another "Harry Potter Sorted Into Slytherin House" scenario? How would the complete absence of one Draco Malfoy as Harry's primary rival and enemy at Hogwarts affect the series, especially when we consider his planned role to kill Dumbledore in The Half-Blood Prince? Also, will Harry still end up on the Quidditch team in his first year, without Draco to steal the Rememberall from Neville as a direct catalyst? And how would Harry, Ron, and Hermione discover Fluffy and the trap-door without the ruse/ploy of the Midnight Duel Challenge from Malfoy? Could Malfoy end up at Hogwarts in fourth year as part of the Triwizard Tournament's Durmstrang delegation, perhaps somehow replacing Victor Krum as the Durmstrang Champion? And what about the Chamber Of Secrets if Harry is a Slytherin in such a universe, without Draco around to steal the Diary of Tom Riddle, and Ginny obviously having no access whatsoever to the Slytherin Common Room and Dormitories as a Gryffindor?
I think that Dumbledore would have doubts about putting Harry in the Black Lake

Tiny nitpick: In the original, Harry places the diadem onto the bust when he hides the half-blood prince's book. So if he does not have that book this time, it will just be… in some shelf… or whatever.
I love this theory and I do think even in the movies they kind of hint to the cloak being more powerful for hardy. When snape hears Harry’s footsteps while questioning quirrl and reaches out I always saw the scene in my minds like the movie portrayed. Snape reaching out and hitting a void where harry holding up the cloak should have been. Since the cloak would not truely protect one from death if the magic in the cloak were not more than just makes you see through.
I don’t think they would’ve found the locket in Regulus’ room, as Kreacher already was working to destroy it for years at that point and would’ve had it close by. I believe they’d in the end ask him, and he would tell the story, thus repairing the relationship between him and Sirius. I thought that sounded nice.
Spoiler warning: I love the idea of Harry disarming Dumbledore as foreshadowing that he's the master of the Elder Wand. Not only is it neater than Harry just getting lucky, it fits with both the official and theorised mechanics of the wand. Did Harry become the master because he disarmed Dumbledore, thus defeating the current master? Did Dumbledore allow Harry to disarm him for this reason? Or did the wand choose the stronger wizard in Harry, believing itself to be betraying Dumbledore and taking a new master?
Here's an idea: What if ... A _naturally _*_POWERFUL_* Muggleborn student (either Lily Evans or Hermione Granger) was a blood descendant of Martha Steward (the squib daughter of Isolt Sayre. Who is a descendant of Salazar Slytherin and Morgan le fay) and therefore born as a parselmouth with the ability to transform into an animal (crow or snake)... somehow. The born as an Animagus bit was optional
What if Snape had not overheard the prophecy? Is Voldemort in the dark about Harry's threat against him for the next sixteen years? Quite the dramatic irony!
What if Severus never called Lily a mudblood, they stayed friends, and he became a spy for Dumbledore from the beginning of the first war, not the end.
Nah, I was loving this What If up until it was revealed Sirius has just been a…well depressed recluse. Sirius would have fought with Dumbledore and at least made the deal that while Harry would spend some time with the Dursleys for protection, he would then go spend time with Sirius for the rest of the summer. Possibly also with the Weasleys. That makes more sense to me.
What if Moody's eye was a fourth hollow, think about it he has bested death multiple times, losing pieces of himself each time. I think it would be cool if he request an eye to see death coming so he can prepare for it. Constant vigilance.
I hate that Sirius isn't free by Harry's 3rd year. He deserves to actually survive this one after getting out. I'll update this comment accordingly. Please don't kill him again Edit 1: Okay I'm glad he wasn't in Azkaban the whole time. Also, "Sirius" logic? I see what ya did there. But he still better not die Edit 2: Thank you. Finally Sirius gets to be a dad
Mm.. Are you sure Dumbledore wouldn't simply have professor Flitwick do the dueling training -- maybe they even had a club active early with Voldy not gone.
This is going to be a twoferone I know you done the Harry Potter in Slytherin but what if Sirius Raised Harry and he is still going to Slytherin? How can that work? It's a big challenge but it's worth something.

“Wormtail, I’m doing the Wordle. What’s a five letter word that starts with ‘S’ and ends with ‘KE’?”
Spoke, obviously 😂
Nah it’s snake
Your multi parts are awesome! Yoy always make My day ! Flower pot ruled😊😊😊
Hi SCB i have two suggestions for what ifs:
What if Hermione confronted Lupin about him being a werewolf in POA, or if she even just told Ron and Harry?
What if Lupin didnt forget about his wolfbane potion that night and didnt transform, Pettigrew probably wouldnt have escaped, etc
Needless to say I'm a Lupin stan
if Lupin didn't forget to take the wolfbane:
1) Sirius would be proven to be innocent.
7) Draco won't be tasked by voldemort to kill Dumbledore (but dumbledore will still be killed by snape)
8) Voldemort won't make snape the headmaster of hogwarts so McGonagall will become headmistress.
@DanielRossellSolanes Perhaps in this scenario Voldy doesn't use the Tournament and instead has Crouch Jr kidnap Harry during a Hogsmeade visit or something like that.
my favourite part was when J came out and said "Hey brother, as you can see I am not Ben"
that, and "sick burn, potter"
Props to you for deleting The Cursed Child
could a coat be an invisibility coat if its a normal one under the fidelius charm? Because it should be invisible to anyone but the owner so anything beneath it as well. Yes it would work differently than the "normal" one but still.
I wonder if this would be possible🤔
I would think that rather than being invisible, people just dont notice it. They would still see the person, they just wouldnt notice they were wearing a coat
Clever trick with the training arc. I find it funny that the same trick happened in the main storyline and yet I still fell for it in this storyline.
Why does Sirius always need to die in your theories?
Also: Why didnt Hagrid give baby Harry to Sirius to raise when Voldemort struck on Harrys parents?
The story would have been different, but better.
Bond of blood charm
The blood charm lived on through her sister petunia & kept Harry safe until he was 17, of Sirius was related by blood then he would’ve went to Sirius
The dark mark is worst when you see one in the laundry room.
i love the part where snape shouts "alive!" because its such a contradiction to most stories/theorys where they proclaim hes dead
They should have put a silencing charm on the cloak
Does the “rightful owner of the cloak” means it is also make it sound proof?
But in the movie - when Harry used it and gasped - Snape heard him… right?
If not, baby Harry would probably be crying. So V could just pull off the cloak and kill him, no?
Was the first thing I thought about!
We gotta get this guy Ben a thesaurus. Heard “as ever” 5 times and I’m half way through
I mean, there’s not many variations of as ever & the ones there are sound pretentious
I have a theory idea:
What if James kept the Invisibility cloak and harry potter was put in Slytherin.
PS why isn't harry in Slytherin he never got the ammo to say not Slytherin because you said in the what if harry was sorted into Slytherin series (loved it BTW) that if harry never met draco in diagon Alley he would not say not Slytherin.
You guys should make a Percy Jackson video
Real
After 3 I was like, “ Voldy is da master of the elder wand! Gasp”😱
these videos are very well-made! Love it
If Moody's eye can see through walls, and the room of requirement is being used as a "somewhere that can't be found" room, can Moody see through the wall into the room?
I always found it dumb that moodys eye can see through the cloak, makes no sense to me. Makes something super powerful negated so easily, how hard would it be to have your eyes replaced?
@@bruhdon4748it's following the old tale of the "all seeing eye" which has many origins but is usually an eye plucked out from a god's face
That was an amazing What If. It had me riveted to my tablet.
Love your videos
Fun storyline, but in Prisoner of Azkaban, Lupin did see cloaked Harry on the Marauder’s map. Semi plot hole given the later significance placed on the cloak.
Just saw the FAQ video where J and Ben address this by narrowing it down to total concealment from agent of death.
Few questions -
1. I'm assuming since Voldy didn't fall, Wormtail didn't get cornered by Sirius and Sirius didn't go to Azkaban. Where is Sirius now? - answered at 50 minutes
Questions:
1 What would happen if the trace was triggered in a fidelius charmed house would it work?
2 What would happen if you polyjuiced into a viela are they the same species? It works when Fleur does it and she’s 1/4 Viela???
LOVED this one! Happy easter brothers! 🔥🔥🔥🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇
That Voldemort laughing clip gets me everytime 😂
Next what if idea: what if lily just takes Harry and disapperates to a safe location?
I’ve had a theory that I’ve been sitting on for a while. If the Elder Wand’s got a thestral hair core, what if the invisibility cloak is made of thestral hair? I mean, thestrals are invisible, and so is the invisibility cloak.
What about that one scene where Harry is under the cloak sneaking around at night, and he stumbles upon Snape threatening Quirrel? Snape very clearly noticed Harry’s presence, and the only way Harry escaped discovery was by backing away before Snape’s probing hand could make contact with the cloak.
You can't fool me, I heard the discord notification sound at 58:35
I heard it at 57:57
The moment Harry has disarmed Dumbledore I KNEW how it is gonna end
I love how snape character was shown
Much better Elder Wand solution here than the main story.
1:02:13 I was actually thinking about the dragon just outside the vault.
How about.
WHAT IF HERMIONE WAS THE CHOSEN ONE ?.
Respect and keep up the epic work.
A muggleborn destined to defeat the dark lord would’ve been sweet! I hope they make that
When Voldemort created an 8 horcrux with the Sword when the goblet, ring, and the diary are destroyed.
I love what ifs videos 💚
Now only need there take on what is siruis was proven innocent, both during back in the trial and at the end of POA.
unless it exists already?
I love it continue the videos
Quick question. What happened to the stone in the snitch? I don’t think you guys ever used it.
I had the same question
I like thinking of these theories as real books that could have been sold and were successful. Like there's a Harry Potter book where there's a whole tournament storyline that the main character is just not a part of.
Love this version of Goblet of Fire. Much better villain plan than the convoluted one we got in canon lol😅
I like to imagine that when James went to hold Voldemort back, he got a few good punches in.
Love these videos!!
Would love to see ‘What If’ videos on…
1) What if Lily escaped with Harry the night Voldemort attacked?
2) What if Harry’s horcrux was sentient like the diary?
3) What if Dumbledore raised/trained Harry?
Imagine Ron and Hermione being there in the woods of the Quidditch World Cup with Harry when Voldemort appears. Voldemort singles out Harry and shoots him with the killing curse, then almost instantly vanishes when his soul is ripped from his body. Imagine the horror Ron and Hermione experienced when Harry was shot, then their absolute joy and equal bewilderment when they find out he’s still alive.
That shirt Ben is wearing is absolute 🔥🔥🔥 and I want one!!!!!
Honestly, the most unrealistic part of this is that Fleur would be interested in Harry because he's popular.
Everyone wants to make her out to be super shallow just because she's beautiful. But her loyalty to Bill after he got his face mangled was supposed to show that she isn't superficial after all.
Also, Harry was 14 while Fleur was 17 at the time 🤔
18:20 Sorry, but Roger Davies wasnt in the lake for Fleur, neither would be harry. Its always Gabrielle
This might go without saying but, safe to assume that in Harry’s first 3 years griffindor wins 3 quidditch cups, solidifying them as a DYNASTY!!!
It was only Narcissa Malfoy's reservations about her boy/beloved son being so far away from her on the European Continent, since I think Durmstrang is in a
centuries-old Norwegian castle or something like that, which prompted Lucius to send his son to the same institution him, and, at least so far as we are aware and know, all previous generations of Malfoys that came, lived, and went before them?
There are so many amazing Durmstrang Draco fics. Highly recommend
I think that Dumbledore would have doubts about putting Harry in the Black Lake
Tiny nitpick: In the original, Harry places the diadem onto the bust when he hides the half-blood prince's book. So if he does not have that book this time, it will just be… in some shelf… or whatever.
Really good work!
Spoiler warning:
I love the idea of Harry disarming Dumbledore as foreshadowing that he's the master of the Elder Wand. Not only is it neater than Harry just getting lucky, it fits with both the official and theorised mechanics of the wand.
Did Harry become the master because he disarmed Dumbledore, thus defeating the current master? Did Dumbledore allow Harry to disarm him for this reason? Or did the wand choose the stronger wizard in Harry, believing itself to be betraying Dumbledore and taking a new master?
yo your doing great keep on uploading
Am I the only one that gets teary-eyed when James urges Lilly to take Harry and run.😢😢😢
The assumption that Harry would have the same wand without being a horcrux is erroneous, chances are priori incantatum wouldn’t happen.
What if Severus never called Lily a mudblood, they stayed friends, and he became a spy for Dumbledore from the beginning of the first war, not the end.
Voldemort : where's that baby? Baby Harry starts crying as babies are wont to do... Aaaaaannnnd he's found.
But in Prisoner of Azkaban, Chapter 17, Lupin explains hat he can still see Harry on the Marauders Map, even under the Invisibility Cloak!
You need to do a what if of what if they accidentally summoned Saruman into The wizarding world.
What if Moody's eye was a fourth hollow, think about it he has bested death multiple times, losing pieces of himself each time. I think it would be cool if he request an eye to see death coming so he can prepare for it. Constant vigilance.
The most important question is there a reality where the Durseleys are actually nice to Harry.
I hate that Sirius isn't free by Harry's 3rd year. He deserves to actually survive this one after getting out. I'll update this comment accordingly. Please don't kill him again
Edit 1: Okay I'm glad he wasn't in Azkaban the whole time. Also, "Sirius" logic? I see what ya did there. But he still better not die
Edit 2: Thank you.
