Thanks very much for doing this great series. I'm part way through putting an early MX5 (1992) running gear under a Morris Minor Traveller. I've opted to fab a new chassis out of box tube and have shortened the Mazda driveshaft and aluminum centre structure by 81mm. Love your approach to the project. Many thnaks again! Thanks yes not all goes as planned lot of time wasted redoing bits.
A good plan to make the fixed locations for the inner sills. I hope the ones you made are salvageable.

You cab "save" anything with in reason, you got a shrinker/ streecher a little heat a hammer and dolly. So just do it!
Indeed you can, unfortunately my skills are limited but good enough for basic repairs.
