What a progression, the rear wheel looks good under the C-pillar. I can not wait for your next update. Film especially the rust repairs, we can learn a lot from this.
Without a doubt, the best channel on TH-cam. "Simple Stuff" to you is damn near impossible for 99.99% of us. Wish I could just hang out at your shop for a few days.
I agree with you this is one of the best channels out there and also if I got a chance to work in the shop so you would have to call the police to make me leave cuz I love being around this kind of environment
You would like Nathans Garage he done these type of builds with old Ford F100 pick ups in the USA he's from the UK too he just builds them at home very basic set up.
enjoying this build i am starting a resto 100e once the Westminsters are done your channel has given me inspiration to start my own channel top work :)
"All pretty simple stuff". I am loving this because it's not simple. Mr Urch makes it look simple, but us mere mortals know it ain't so. From an old fashioned perspective, just a shame the original rear arches could not have stayed and narrowed the MX5 rear end instead so "dish" could be incorporated with out massive rear arches. Still loving it though. Looking forward to next episode. Carry on Sir
Shizzle happens, Matt...the easy route always becomes apparent with a bit of hindsight...Your doing excellent work here and it's great to watch (and learn) Cheers Buddy!!
I'm loving this build. The progress is happening very fast. If I had anything to say towards this it would be to suggest seeing how MK1 Escort "Forrest Flares" may look. The MK2 flares are probably going to look the ducks gut but it would be interesting to see what the MK1 flares would suit. I'm also enjoying all the other content here. Glad I subscibed. Thanks Matt!
Cranking along at a rapid rate, Matt. The A post that's rotted, I believe you can bend one up... 👍 "Simple stuff really" I like your philosophy .. It's only metal !!
That passenger-side front leg is going to be quite a challenge. It is Swiss cheese. I am looking forward to seeing how your repair it. I am hoping to learn some techniques because I am facing q similar problem. I also want to see how you do those new plastic windows. Keep up the great work and reaaly good videos!
Thanks for having me! Gosh you do nice work! I loved hearing your accent also! Lol! You have a good day? Oh wait! Will you keep the nest in there? Thanks again eh!
Commenting before I watch because this is quickly becoming my favorite build on youtube, up there along with Project Binky for sheer ambition. Plus, you've got them beat on release schedule by a factor of maybe a thousand :p PS would really love a few B-roll/beauty shots of the car at the end. Or even just a full side shot =)
This is going to be a very cool build and I look forward to every new video. One thing I think you should consider is to lower the height of the pinch weld along the inner door sill if you can cut the Mazda sill any lower. Right now it looks out of place being about 30 to 35mm tall. I think the Zakspeed wheel arches will look great on the 100e
Fits like a glove 😉 looking great so far, I semi agree with you on the arches, but can't help thinking that MK1 Escort bubble arches would look good too and a bit more period for that car, just saying 😉 it's your car so your choice, it'll still be a great car when it's done, keep up the good work 😁👍 Oh yeh, giz a job at your place, I'd so love to do this sort of stuff 😁
Is there any chance you could show us how it looks internally? Kinda give us an idea of what fabrication you have to do to make the thing whole again. Cheers.
I've followed your builds from day one mate and they're amazing! This one has to be the best yet. Just one thing though. The 100e is quite a 'rounded' shape though and the Zak speed arches are quite 'angular'. If it was my build I'd use mk1 escort bubble Arches. Just a thought. Keep up the excellent work. Regards. Mark
That buzzing sound? Thats the sound of the internet, they just found out about your project! Be careful though, if it gets too loud you could blow up the internet! 😜
Looking forward to the continuing development of this project esp how you are going to handle those door hinge posts. I always struggle with time in that: do I make up that entire part or spend time trying to search down a donor car, cut the better parts out and then install them.
Can’t believe that this thing is already ahead of project binky 🤣🤣🤣 Just kidding... but I genuinely cannot believe you’re this far into this project already! I wish I could weld!
loving your work sir - can I ask a question? - I have been working through your videos and loving the welding advise - I took your advice and spruced up my old MIG welder and bought a new earth clamp etc, however, not sure if you have mentioned it yet in one of your videos but I never know when to replace the torch tip? I guess this is very important not to have a worn out one, but never know when I should change them - any advice would be welcome - again great channel and keep up the good work. kevin
Please film all the rusty panel repair you've got, we never tire of seeing good work done well.
Love the Made in England on the bench vice on the intro, very well done. Keep up the great work.
Moving along nicely Matt.
Great stuff. Cheers from Australia.
Moving along nicely Matt a pleasure to watch
What a progression, the rear wheel looks good under the C-pillar. I can not wait for your next update. Film especially the rust repairs, we can learn a lot from this.
Absolutely enjoying this, always hanging out for the next instalment.
Brilliant once again, mx100e is going to look amazing !
This is some of the best content I’ve watched on TH-cam for some time
Like others; I hope you're showing the repair of the door+posts... Your video's are fab, many thanks for making all this effort!
Love the work so far, can't the clips be longer like an hour or more, never get bored of watching your stuff
Cool build. Looking forward to future videos.
Exceptional! Really, really impressed. You have such a great approach using common sense and good measurements. Can't wait til the next one!
Hello from Australia, top channel always interesting and educational...hard to get these two together without being boring. Keep it up...John

This is the best thing on you tube! Each installment is promt and shows great content! You rock dude!
“Simple stuff”, love this project! Cheers from Canada.
exactly what I was thinking! Sure wish I thought of building a roll cage and making body panels as easy stuff lol!
I think Matt is the Stig.
You are very encouraging! Thank you.
"All pretty simple stuff". I am loving this because it's not simple. Mr Urch makes it look simple, but us mere mortals know it ain't so.

Looking good mate.
Shizzle happens, Matt...the easy route always becomes apparent with a bit of hindsight...Your doing excellent work here and it's great to watch (and learn) Cheers Buddy!!
Hey Malcolm, fire yer address off to me at piperdoug72@gmail.com. Cheers.

"Simple stuff really" I like your philosophy .. It's only metal !!
Simple he says....lol. Great work Matt!
Really enjoying this build, top work 👍🏻👌🏻
The tiny Euro Ford holds a strong resemblance to its bad-assed, American uncles, the 50s Ford/Mercs in terms of body lines. Nice project. Subscribed.
That's a definite celebration beer, have it friend. In a few years I hope your shop has become marketable.
Very glad i found this channel, keep it coming definitely going to blow up
Mint looking more like a car every time 👍🏻
Another good video cant wait for the next part.
That passenger-side front leg is going to be quite a challenge. It is Swiss cheese. I am looking forward to seeing how your repair it. Top work fella , enjoying the vids 👍🏻
Thanks for having me! Gosh you do nice work! I loved hearing your accent also! Lol! You have a good day? Oh wait! Will you keep the nest in there? Thanks again eh!
This car is something akin to a ninja in a tweed suit and bowler hat .. very creative mate!!
These are very watchable videos, you make a ton of progress in every one. Look forward to the next stage of the build
Great work, maybe one day create a road going hybrid? Would need great to see the old car steaming from traffic lights street sleeper style...
Commenting before I watch because this is quickly becoming my favorite build on youtube, up there along with Project Binky for sheer ambition. Plus, you've got them beat on release schedule by a factor of maybe a thousand :p

So true! Lmao!
And now we've seen the birth of the MX 100 E :)
Coming along nicely. Loving the progress...I’m literally hooked on this.
Those zakspeed round arches will look ace on the 100e body.👍
The progress is amazing well done on the marriage of body and chassis, it must be the time for winter projects bought myself a mk2 Gte yesterday
Watching from Arizona, Matt. i just subscribed also. Good Stuff! now get on with it. ;)
Twist those nutz mate!! Good n proper
Matt, Your bag of tricks appears to be bottomless. Example - using the vise grips to make spot welds. Awesome work
No tricks there mate, I was just clamping the seam together where the holes were.
This is going to be a very cool build and I look forward to every new video.

Oh yeh, giz a job at your place, I'd so love to do this sort of stuff 😁
I'm hooked brilliant channel esp as the pop / Anglia was the first car I remember my dad having
Coming along. It's going to be a nice car.
Is there any chance you could show us how it looks internally? Kinda give us an idea of what fabrication you have to do to make the thing whole again. Cheers.
Mad scientist of cars. 👍🏻

Great channel. Have a great weekend.
Oil Drum top & bottoms make good Prefabed wheel tubs..
That buzzing sound? Thats the sound of the internet, they just found out about your project! Be careful though, if it gets too loud you could blow up the internet! 😜
A symbolic "mating" of two species has formed from Matt Frankenstein's Laboratory!
love your shit dude. your awesome and keep up the good work. nothing but positive here
Looking forward to the continuing development of this project esp how you are going to handle those door hinge posts. I always struggle with time in that: do I make up that entire part or spend time trying to search down a donor car, cut the better parts out and then install them.
Love this build
Great work time and time again.
Dude you're the shit! I'm a big miata fan and this is dope!
Like your project .
Wicked Project. I hope you are offering the 100e parts to a club for cost towards your Project
Thumbs Up ...... Looking Great !
Luving This Matt.
Baz.
Look at the open cart Cody makes from welding tips and tricks nice and simple
Let’s face who ‘Likes’ the video first then watches it because you know it’s gonna be quality!
Ever thought of steel mk1 escort bubble arches? Perfect shape and near period to the car.
Yeh its a possibility
A spin off business could be..
"Urch's Arch's"
Not sure if you know. But you can get fiberglass doors for the 100e now 😉
It's shaping up nicely.
Like it mate
I enjoy your videos that car is going to be pretty cool.
Nice work!
Very skillful. I wish I had your abilities!! :0)
Can’t believe that this thing is already ahead of project binky 🤣🤣🤣
Just kidding... but I genuinely cannot believe you’re this far into this project already! I wish I could weld!
16vKarlos it will be finished about 25 years before binky 👍
You can weld, you just haven't learned how yet. :D
Danny Tigz I have tried my arse off but I can't weld for toffee either lol
Love your profile picture BTW 👍 🇬🇧 🇬🇧 🇬🇧
You're the first to comment on the 52% thing, hehe. I thought I would get trolled by remoaners haha. GB all the way :D
No way!! I’ve only just started watching it today. On episode nine and it’s 3 years old. Was hoping to see it finished!!
truly amazing work but ever thought of using weldthrough primer so it dont start to rust right away?
loving your work sir - can I ask a question? - I have been working through your videos and loving the welding advise - I took your advice and spruced up my old MIG welder and bought a new earth clamp etc, however, not sure if you have mentioned it yet in one of your videos but I never know when to replace the torch tip? Steel box section arches (944 style) following the original swage line would be good..
i don't know why, but i always salute back when you're saluting at the end of the video.
privates SHOULD salute their superiors! :p
I always stand up
