Although not the most joyous of topics, I am somewhat comforted by the straightforward knowledge of Dr. Hashmi and Michele. I am already stressing about making a doctor's appointment. Strange to hope I am only at stage 4. I know it is probably against the rules of ethics, but I wish they could recommend physicians from different areas of the country. Although, that would probably be rather labor-intensive research. I assume Dr. Hashmi doesn't know that many doctors. Lol.

We wish it were easier for people to work with physicians they want to all over the country as well! It's hard even in the US :/

    Thanks for sharing your information.
I am stage 5 now which means that I will be requiring dialysis anytime as the eGfr is only 25 . But to reach this stage it took about 15 years. Now I suffer with all the problems u have mentioned.
God’s grace that I am going through with this pain.

So sorry you are in pain and experiencing a lot of these symptoms :/ Diet and lifestyle still make a big difference in health and symptoms in stage 5!

Is it possible to reverse kidney disease? I've read articles from different universities and some say yes and others say no you can only maintain your current stage of ckd.

It is possible. I was diagnosed stage 3 with a GFR of 49. I went on a plant based diet and exercised regularly. After around 10 weeks I went to stage 2 with a GFR of 70. There are many other people who have done the same and better.

    3. Probiotics: Gut health.
    4. Vitamin C: Antioxidant.
    5. Potassium citrate: Electrolyte balance.
    *Herbal Supplements:*
    1. Turmeric/Curcumin: Anti-inflammatory.
    2. Ginger: Anti-inflammatory.
    3. Dandelion: Diuretic properties.
    4. Juniper berries: Diuretic properties.
    *Tablets (after consulting a doctor):*
    1. Cranberry extract tablets (e.g., Nature's Bounty)
    2. Omega-3 fatty acid tablets (e.g., Nordic Naturals)
    3. Probiotic tablets (e.g., Garden of Life)
    4. Vitamin C tablets (e.g., Nature's Made)
    5. Potassium citrate tablets (e.g., Thorne Research)
    *Ayurvedic Tablets:*
    1. Chandraprabha Vati (for kidney health)
    2. Punarnavadi Mandur (for kidney function)
    3. Varunadi Vati (for urinary issues)
