As a gardener myself, I appreciate her beautiful property.. Loved the ceiling in the living room and the gorgeous hand painted chest.. Thank you for sharing and would love more home tours..
Hi Debi! I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for the feedback, I will try to shoot some more home tours this fall. And yes, those beams in the living room are gorgeous indeed.
I love how she mixed the old with the new! Contemporary art with classic furniture. And color! The Don Quixote figure with the great picture made me think of the very first time I saw the play with Richard Harris. The kitchen is so cozy. I can picture sitting at the table with a cup of tea and conversing. And of all things to notice, the pearl handle cutlery! I've been on the hunt for knives. I can get them on eBay but was hoping to find them for a little less. Maybe a prize find at a garage sale! You did well with the filming. I enjoy all of your vlogs. They make me feel as though I've been transported to France for a brief time. Thanks for sharing and thanks to Nathalie for inviting us into her lovely home.
I just happened to see this beautiful video; so quaint and quirky decor, beautiful grounds with that fantastic sauna room with a view! And at end to see the hope in the garden. Loved your filming and the music. Thank you. I'll have to catch up with rest of your other videos.
What a lovely house tour. I would really appreciate the information regarding the Sauna (the helicopter windshield maker) - as I am looking to install a sauna on our property (in France) :).
Amazing footage with your iPhone! Nice home-spa place, love it! My fave was eclectic dining room with beautiful table and stripey colorful painting on wall with the gorgeous hand-painted chest/sideboard! Subtle understated elegance and casual vibe. Also liked the grounds and sauna, wow 🤩
I am late but wow.. love the classic interior and the outside is so lush.. Amazing and thank you. You should do more homes if have access to them. Happy Friday:)
@@VelvetandToads Yes please.. I can't wait. I love how most French people stay true to who they are when it comes to dressing, home interiors etc. France has my heart haha.. Let me go watch the other one:)
Hi! Here are a few of my takeaways from this French country house tour. As you'll often hear when French decor is described, the drapes, be they velvet or linen, hang straight and pool at the bottom. The other characteristic of French decor are the glass cloches, which we find in different shapes, sizes and functions in the dining room. One of the things I really like is the intentional way that Nathalie has mixed old and new. Starting in the dining room with the contemporary Australian painting, the colors of which echo the flowers in the hand-painted chest below it. Similarly, in the living room, both the furry rabbit chair and the velvet Victorian sofa next to it have "ears". That's something else I like, the touches of humor, whether it's the rabbit chair or the Don Quixote statue and ink drawing. Now let's hear yours!
TFS this beautiful home tour w/ us! Love all the character inside and outside of this home. Loved the wood beams in the ceiling, claw foot tub, stone exterior, guest house on the property etc.🥰⚜️❤️
Wow what a great Home Tour…so many wonderful things I don’t know where to start. The sauna and steam rooms were magnificent and the pools position with the trees boxing it in was an amazing design. The aboriginal art work in the dining room was beautiful and the colours made her furniture pop especially that gorgeous piece below it ( green is my colour). The Fiery Red KitchenAid which I have a Cool White one cannot be understated in a kitchen as it has so many attachments to make amazing food dishes…..Yum. Thank you so much for mentioning our love of bird life with the gorgeous Hoopoe which I have never seen before. We are actually in lockdown here in Brisbane at the moment so lots of time for seeing my Kookaburra family with their new baby. Enjoy your Summer in your friends gorgeous home. 🖼🌳🪵
Very interesting and personal. For me, I don’t find it the right atmosphere for my healing clients. But maybe I am wrong and this is her house? I would choose a more serene decor for my clients.
So glad you enjoyed it! They installed a water softening system on all the showers, hence the good hair. Otherwise, my decades in Paris have been one long bad hair day 😂 Merry Christmas 🎄
I’m so glad your channel popped up. I love watching home tours, especially anything French. This beautiful home is well lived in and very welcoming, I love it. 🌸
I’m so glad my channel popped up too! Welcome! Nathalie’s home is beautiful indeed. It’s funny you would mention home tours, as I’ve been down in Provence for a couple of weeks where a friend rented a house (I’m actually in the train on my way home to Paris this very instant). I shot some footage of that beautiful place and will be posting it in a few weeks, once I get through a backlog of other videos... Thanks so much for stopping by and letting me know you enjoyed it, makes the effort worth it ✨ 🙏🏻
Really?! You're so fortunate, not only to have seen a hoopoe, but any birds at all. I've been there twice and both times I was struck by the absence of birds, even birdsong. I was there for lemurs, but was sorry not to see birds, even if I knew they had to be there somewhere. I'm envious!
@@VelvetandToads We went on a 15 day nature vacation with National Geographic and went also to see the lemurs-they were crawling all over us-so cute. We went to many of the National Parks and that is where we saw the hoopoe. It was in the southern end of Madagascar. He was very obliging so we all could take photos. He was a delight to see. We saw lots of birds and insects. A trip of a lifetime.
With National Geographic? Must have been wonderful. I used to work on lemur behavior at the Paris Zoo in what seems like another life. Not continuing is one of my biggest regrets. But seeing Madagascar was indeed, well for me, 2 trips of a lifetime. I feel a kindred spirit in anyone with an interest in Madagascar...
@@VelvetandToads I can't rem her name but there is a woman at the Lemur site in Madagascar who helped establish the center and study lemurs. The building itself is fabulous. It is connected with Duke U and one of their professors was with us on the entire trip. It you get a chance...go! We saw many different lemurs plus birds.
I think your comment is a little harsh- even if you think that the place is too modern. Some elements are too modern for my taste, but I think the restoration is lovely, and it is evident that each room is done with great intention and care. Perhaps it may not be to everyone's taste, but at the very least you can appreciate the great effort and work in restoring this beautiful property?

I'm so glad you like the Don Quixote! Would love to see the play...
Fabulous exterior and grounds. The building deserves a fitting level of decor.
I'm afraid my poor photography doesn't do it justice :(

I can picture myself doing nice topiary on her grounds.

Yes! the pool in the ruins perfect. And the aboriginal art works so well with that chest. Love seeing what you liked and glad you liked the bird ;)

Love the house tours--do more of them
Lovely. Beautiful gardens. I first saw the hoopoe in Madagascar. He is quite a site.

Luxury hotel dan resort...❤❤❤
Hoopoe, yes at last. As featured in Midsomer Murders , the bird watchers episode. Yes really enjoyed the tour. From Australia in Tapitallee.
Oh! I’ll have to check out Midsomer Murders!
Beautiful...enjoyed video.

Thank you so much!
Hello, fantastic property ! Could you share the Sauna supplier info as described! thanks a lot!
Hi! I'll ask her for the info and get back to you. Thanks for watching!
Could be so much more...
I'm afraid my limited filmmaking skills don't do it justice 😕
Sweet
Glad you liked it!
you have some nicest pieces but could use some decorating help. mean this kindly ♥️♥️♥️
music i can live without,.
Thanks for the feedback
th-cam.com/video/BVH5b6f3cSU/w-d-xo.html Frida Kahlo ART!!! 💐🌷🌹
Great video inside out doors completely spoilt by booldy awful background music 😠
Extérieur charmant, intérieur bcp moins charmant dommage
Malheureusement mon peu de talent de cinéaste ne rend pas justice à l'intérieur. :(
Inside is modern, cheap and ugly.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and what we see is most often a mirror of who we are deep down. Have a nice day.
