What a treat this is! Never expected to see a Gallardo SE being reviewed in modern days by a youtuber.. great choice and what a surprise! Beautiful car, color, sound. Don't see many of these around anymore...infact haven't seen an SE anywhere at all!

There used to be one in Singapore, back when I was attending school at ACS (BR) [mid-2000s], I'll always see a Yellow Gallardo SE travel down Bukit Timah Road pass campus.
@@keanehgz The yellow one belonged to my friend, its not a real SE..but a gallardo painted to look like one.. 2 real SE were sold here, one balloon white and one in verde ithaca.

I very much so love both of them, the 5.0 screams like a soul trying to escape and the 5.2 sounds so deep In real life It's not even funny, when you hear It roaring on some road In between the mountains It's just oh, glorious. Love the fact that we can enjoy both, variety Is key.

That gated manual and V10 singing makes me want one so bad. Love that you guys found a manual SE. What a fantastic car. Wish Lamborghini would have done a gated manual swan song for the current crop of supercar before this hybrid/EV nonsense happens and ruins them.

A yellow Gallardo SE, just like this one, was one of the very first (if not the first) supercars I saw in my life! So the Gallardo will always be special to me! I also strongly believe that the original Gallardo is one of the prettiest cars Lamborghini ever made, right up there with the Miura. Would have one over a Huracan any day!

The Gallardo is to blame for my obsessive interest in supercars, particularly Lambos. A neighbour had the spyder in orange back in the day, I was a kid then. Never seen anything like it before. Remember getting goose bumps when it started up. Amazing! Although, despite the German influence it did spend most of its time being Italian. It' only worked when it wanted to - which was mostly never.

My first ever experience in a super car was back in 2005, I was 10 at the time, in a brand new Gallardo SE. The sound of the 5.0L echoing off retaining walls sent shivers down my spine. What. A. Car.
I got the black 05 6 gated speed. It’s an awesome car. Just love it.
I am very fortunate to own a lot of cars. But a manual transmission Gallardo has evaded me more than once. The one that I really should’ve bought, is the one I believe it’s the best, the 50th anniversary edition car that was available in the LP 560-2 configuration. I could’ve bought one in an excellent condition in 2018 for $195,000. I passed on that car. Now it’s worth about $400,000. If not more. I have the Lamborghini V 10 in two of my cars now, one of them is a manual transmission R8 V10 and it is a glorious engine indeed.
I have always loved the Gallardo sooo much the 2011 Superleggera was the first car I ever liked ❤️ And the sound of this! ❤️😩 Even N/A Lambos just don't sound like they used to! ❤️

A gated manual 5.0 Gallardo is the best Gallardo. That 5.0 sounds WAY better than the new 5.2 mill. It's amazing that I really knew nothing of the SE edition besides it being in Test Drive Unlimited. Great review and glad to see more content of a car like this!

A friend of a friend had a “standard” manual, when they first came out. It had a straight through exhaust giving an F1 sound that could be heard from miles away. Still love these, they have a pure design, great handling and weren’t too large to enjoy a narrower road. Friend of friend said Lamborghini were always trying to get him to buy the auto but he said there was no chance as they’re shit! Manuals very thin on the ground whichever gallardo. Surely some smart retro modern outfit will start fixing that.. . Please!

Don't know if I will ever sell my gated manual preLP 2006 Gallardo... just so engaging...and the sound....just raw. I sold my 981 GT4 which was an amazing car. But I have zero regrets. Great review. Right on commentary.

As far as I know the old 5.0 has different firing order this is why it sounds different and in general better then the LP 5.2 engine

I'mma say this, the sound of the 5.2L V10 is nowhere as sweet as the og 5.0L V10, after Carrera GT and the LFA, the Lamborghini V10 sounds the best
Becouse if different firing order...Lfa,gallardo 5.0 and carrera gt have order that gave them high pitch sound compared to 5.2 lp engine
Blakey Ridge ! I live 10 mins from there, I was up there yesterday in my 997, great road but watch out for the sheep, lambs always seem to think the grass is greener on the other side. Manual gearbox is a must, flappy paddles are for circuits only (imho ) !!

The 5.0 Gallardo sounds different because it’s an even-fire engine. The 5.2 is odd-fire.
After the SE, Lambo change the normal Gallardo with the same gearratio. And with +20hp (LP520). And it feels much faster. The pre gearratio version did over 100km/h !!, and didnt feel that fast to be honest.
Didn't all Gallardos do over 100?
