Which would you take; Lamborghini Murcielago or Ferrari 599? 🤔
Back in the day I'm sure a 599 would have tempted a bunch of people, these days with these kind of cars going away, I bet 8/10 would get the Murcielago keys.

I don't know if it's because I was crazy into video games in the 2000s, but the shape/design of the Murci is near perfect

I still remember fondly seeing a yellow murci and red 360 modena spider running away from cops in coastal road back in 2002, what a sight to see..

The perfect balance between low and high pitch. The Murcielago sound has both the Formula 1 and the muscle car vibe to it. Both very strong and very elegant.
Idk if it’s just me but the ORIGINAL Murci looks the best to me. I fuck with the LPs and SVs and even the Roadsters too but it’s just something about the original that’s so smooth and timeless. I been had a poster of an lime green ‘02 Murci above my bed for like 15 years+ it’s my favorite Lamborghini of all time and my favorite trim of the Murci.
The cinematography and the beauty shots were absolutely, mesmerizingly gorgeous!! I was smiling like an idiot throughout. And then there's the noise! AAHHH THAT GLORIOUS V12 NOISE!! Best car video I've seen on TH-cam in a long time. Thank you for this!

I'll forever love this car, there's a guy in my city who used to daily drive his murci spyder. Unfortunately after a while it required a new engine, but bloody legend for doing it. Now counting down until its back on the road..

I've had my manual Murci now for close to 5 years and it still excites me like the first day. Great fun on the open road and a wonderful sound you never tire of.

The murcielago comes second on my list of favourite cars. First is the diablo. The diablo is just such a beautifull beast.

My absolute dream car as a kid and even now. I know it's not the best supercar, it's technically not even the best Murcielago, but the 6.2 has always been the poster car for me

I've never really liked the Murcielago from the fleet of the wackiest super cars, bit understated . Bit watching the video, with great presenting really gives me a feel for what it's like. Love that sound and the engine wow, i'll take your word it's not intimidating but for me just too wide for UK b roads...for that have to take a Porsche and settle for the f6 whine :)
Sport cats, exhaust, front diff delete, and a tune are all these cars need to be perfect. Would I prefer a Miura? Of course. But, the Murcielago massively accomplished in its own right.

@@supercar.driver quite. Single best mod you can make if you're comfortable with the car's handling characteristics and power. Better steering feel, less clutch wear, better turn-in, better rotation on throttle. It really showcases the rather good chassis that is sadly buried underneath the understeer of the factory AWD system.

It's honestly far better than the LP 640 and the SV after it, not just because it's a manual, but because it has a more timeless design and that this is one of the supercars I remember growing up with in my childhood days.
I'd have this over a modern Lambo any day

That video gives me the tingles. There's just something rebellious about a Lamborghini. It's outside of social acceptability, doesn't have the historic grace of Ferrari or the racing pedigree of Porsche. It's just an outlaw, with sex appeal.

Great video. Very nice looking car. The design has only got better with age to my eyes. I don't recall these cars crackling and popping like this one does - perhaps the engine management was altered?

Murci is R8's daddy....once at night....Murci was left in dark underground garage....next to Audi S8....they were alone.....whole night.....and some time later....the R8 was born....she has dad's temperament and mom's passion....

I was recently looking up last manual options for all Supercars. And came across the Murcielago.
Too bad there are not very many examples. Really, Lambo owners of this generation should have been scolded. Auto/DCT I don't think were great options in this era. Also proven, the traction control for most cars in this era was also anemic.
90's is a great era, as proven by the rising Japanese sports car prices. Just enough electronics to make things easier to maintain. Better braking with ABS, but the rest is still driver controls.

Great video....shame it seems to be so hard to convert an E-Gear car to stick, otherwise doing exactly that would be ideal. Very few stick shift examples out there.
Look for the original 2002-06 Murcielago, when the manual transmission was standard.
