    You are a true expert. thank you very much for explaining in such detail how this works. All of your videos and sample packs with instructions are of the highest level. Ty

    I used to do this with my SP 1200 and my MPC 3000. Sadly the Midi dump/input feature was removed in the Vailixi OS for the 3000. You have some excellent tutorials on here, wish I would have found your channel sooner

    Thanks for the vid would’ve never tried it after hearing stories of this taking ages

    • @tonelabqt

      Yeah, well.. if you tried this on an MPC2000 it does.. because 16bit 44.1kHz has so much more data per second to transfer.. but when you're dealing with 12bit 26.04kHz the file size per second is dramatically smaller + a sample length capped to 2.5 seconds max... means it's really not too bad at all.. and then if you're trading Kicks and Snares with friends.. then it's much less time again 👍🏼

      @@tonelabqt totally, I tried resampling a loop on an xl back in 2007 and it was still processing when I sold it a few years later

      @Urb 😂 oh, when I first had my S3000XL.. the days of 'ReCycle' transferring slices over MIDI (before the SCSI option wasn't yet available) was the same.. I'd literally do my laundry while waiting for a 4-bar loop to go thru ⏱

    Can you import the wav sounds to Rossum Sp1200?

    • @tonelabqt

      Kinda.. but, there's a bit of a process involved.. maybe I might do that in the next clip 🤓

    Do these same instructions apply to the reissue sp-1200 by rossum? Thanks.

      @tonelabqt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Apparently so! ..and that means Emu or Rossum owners could trade Sounds 👍🏼

    Well... this tutorial is nice but quite incomplete.
    How to do convert your received .syx files to .wav ?
    And above all how do you convert your .wav files to .syx that you could send ?
    Otherwise this is just good for backup...

    • @tonelabqt
      @tonelabqt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks.. but, the intention of this clip was not to convert .SYX to WAV (or vice versa). This is to send SP1200 sounds from user to another.. possibly over email etc. 👍🏻
