  • I shot this video over 4 years ago on my first trip to Alaska. At that time I did not have amazing channels like Exploring Alternatives, Dylan Magaster and Living Big in a Tiny House to draw inspiration off of....so please excuse the simplistic video. But I re-edited it and wanted to share it with all of you. Enjoy!

I mean he just used plywood and carpet, it probly took just as long, if not longer, as wood paneling for about the half the cost, wood paneling isn’t all that expensive tho…

Love this! That bed is a great concept for a smaller van!!! And the swivel counter top, yea buddy! Never thought of that and its a great space saver! Thanks for the vid and the ideas! Saw on another vid, if you have solar you can hang them from inside or outside of your back doors when they are open and its winter time (when your in a warmer climate like AZ. You dont have to mount them to the roof. Just change the position of the doors during the day as the sun moves and if they are not fully charged by the time the sun passes the panels you can either move the van or take them off and set them on the ground with something to brace them at the right angle.

That was in June of 1972. I think they still hold it but I don't know if they changed the dates of it. But we had a great time there. We camped out at a the high school and used the showers there. The school field was reserved for campers who were attending the Fiddle Festival. The people were very nice.
