    I have watched 100's and 100's of videos on conversions. Some great, some not so great. Yours,dear sir, is the one that has made me feel like I can actually convert a van. Thankyou for taking the time to provide such a descriptive, easy to follow, step by step informative video. I wish I could give you 1000 thumbs up.

    To get over the slope of my chevy uplander van, I used milk crates attached to rails. In front, the crates are 2-3 inches taller placed on their sides than upside-down. It leveled out my bed perfectly.

    Great video and a wonderful conversion!! My wife and I have also made a trip, through the states and back through Canada to our home in BC, in a converted 1999 Honda Odyssey. I also built it so that I can take everything out and put the seats back in. We have a raised bed with one big 4 foot drawer that slides out the back. Unless we are in bear country, we like to sleep with the back hatch open with a screen setup. I think your box system uses the space very well. We also like the idea of not having to drive around a big motor home when you can have everything you need in a small van. Now if I could only somehow convert it to electric drive!

    Excellent! I've watched 100s of van conversion videos, which are for full-time RVers, but that's hardly relatable to many of us who love mobile home only during vacations. Because biggest expense of all my road trips were car rental and hotel stay, rest are peanuts. With this inspiring nd educational video, I really love to convert a Honda odyssey (love indestructable Hondas) and keep as a backup vehicle for holidays. Please make a blueprint of the boxes with exact measurements and step-wise instructions from first to last step for your followers; great service for "seasonal RVers"! Kudos to lovely couple😊

    Very good planning on this build. Appreciate the share. Just want to let you know that batteries release gasses while they charge and it’s not healthy if your breathing it while in transit. I’ve learned this from one of the minivan conversion company who built my buddies Chrysler into a mini home. They had to install a small vent for the battery box air going outside for health safety reasons. Enjoy your trip .

    amazing! With awe and respect, I only look back at the concept and wonder if it isn't overly strong? Now that it's built, if YOU made "Awesome Idea-,mod1", could you make some of the boxes half as heavy by using thinner, less braced boxes allowing more internal room ? The strength would still be there due to the monocoque style boxes screwed together. I'm just trying to think on your level, not my level. Again, awesome engineering and craft skills!

      Hi Jamie, We saw Yosemite a few years earlier but Olympic and Glacier were just a little too far west for us this time. Big Bend was impressive (and very cool that you could be rowed across the Rio Grande to Mexico for $5). Zion N.P. has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth. Grand Tetons were stunning and great hiking.

    • @jamielikestrees3202
      @jamielikestrees3202 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@eugeneeugene4666 I see, well I hope you guys get out to Glacier National Park and Olympic some day. We live in Utah so I tend to forget how far west everything really is because I'm right in the middle of it. With being rased in Utah I feel like I was practically raised in Zions and Arches National Parks. Zions really is awesome, but since we are so close we typically try to do it in November during the off season. I just love Zions in the fall.
