    but i am pretty sure that Indian trains are a unique experience

    In All AC compartments (1st, 2nd, and 3rd tier) - you get the following bedding packet (2 white fresh sheets, 1 fresh pillow case, 1 fresh towel, 1 blanket and 1 pillow (not fresh every time). but what do you expect them to do with the pillow and the blanket? out of the two sheets, one is used as a liner under the blanket and a fresh pillow case replaces the old used pillow case. I am not sure why you were grossed out by someone having used your compartment previously. You still get fresh linen. It is not a charter train so you have to expect people might have been in your seats previously. Also the ticket prices are the cheapest compared to anywhere else in the world!

      @nicoleandmico  2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      We thought 1st Class meant fresh linens but perhaps it only means fresh sheets and not pillow and blanket. Good to know for next time! We had a great sleep on the train though and loved watching India through the windows 🥰

      @@nicoleandmico Every passenger per seat gets a new packet ( including all excluding blanket ) from the attender no matter how many new passenger arrives on a particular seat for that entire journey. You didn't know that, that's why u couldn't claim ur fresh packets and attendees also don't give new packets bcos they have to gather much more for cleaning...🥲

      You are getting it wrong actually. They will serve fresh pillow covers n all but you just need to inform them. That is it!
      In India basically what happened, a lot of passengers use the railway service so the first passengers in a particular seat always get the fresh linen n all but after that those stuffs forget sometimes to change those linens and pillow covers. Trains are having many halts so it is difficult for them to remember which sheet to be changed at which stations. What you need to do is just inform them that this sheet n all need to be exchanged with the fresh one and they will do it.
      Do not hesitate to say these.

    They usually wont change the pillows...but if you request and tip a cleaner...they can usually also change the pillows. this is usually an issue only if you are getting on a train from anywhere other than the starting point!

      So interesting, thanks for letting us know!

    • @artmuse9613
      @artmuse9613 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wrong. No tip needed to change pillow cover. Two bedsheets, one fresh pillow cover and one fresh towel are provided. I don't think it's practically possible to provide fresh pillow itself and blanket. So they provide one fresh pillow cover and the second bedsheet is meant to be put below blanket so blanket is not in direct contact, but yeah that's still cringy hygiene wise. So you can use bedsheet only to cover.
      And yes all these bedsheets etc are steam cleaned.

  • @siddharthas7991
    @siddharthas7991 2 ปีที่แล้ว +30

    They don't change pillows, but pillow covers should be changed, and if you are still not convinced that its clean, ask him for another change. Use the second bed sheet along with the blanket to make a barrier between yourself and the blanket. It's impossible to change the blanket for every person in any corner of the world.

    • @ShubhamSingh-ry1ck
      @ShubhamSingh-ry1ck ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think they can absolutely provide new blankets, they probably do. You get your own blankets on flights and first-class rates are more or less similar to flight tickets.

    India seems to be so noisy and busy at all hours of the day. It's not something that I'd get used to.

    Lol you slept in those sheets 😂😂. They were provided for the passengers who take overnight journeys. You should have asked them to get rid of it. Day time passengers don't get any linen or bedsheets. The attendent must have thought you just woke up wanting to freshen up your bed. 😁

    I do not understand why most of people comes to India and visits Jaipur, Delhi Mumbai and go back.
    There's many things to see in India Ladakh, Munnar, Darjeeling, Tawang, Kashmir like hillstations
    Beaches like Diu, Andaman, Lakshadweep, Mandarmani etc.
    Forests like Sundarban, Gir, Kaziranga etc.
    Plateaus like Eastern Ghat, Western Ghat, Meghalaya
    Cultural cities like Varanasi, Kolkata
    Then deserts like Thar
