    BUDDYMOON DAY 351/1000 (VLOG 88)
We travelled in the best first class train that we have been on in India. This train from Agra to Jaipur was clean, neat, and well run compared to the other first-class train that we were on. PLUS, we tried some of the food onboard. This first-class train only cost us $15 per person.

And "Where is my train" App

At entrance of all train stations in India, you have big electric display boards showing platform number for each train. Check your platform number and directly reach correct platform. Once you reach your platform either wait for displays to show coach number Or ask people wearing red dress called coolies for your coach location. This could save your time and search for correct coach number. 😊

Every day 25 million ppl ( population of Australia) travels on Indian trains.
Quality of trains vary so as a foreigner you should book either First class A/c, First Class, 2nd A/c in that order.
    Best trains include
    1. Vande BHARAT ( they are ver new)
    2. Tejas Express
    3. Duranto
    4. Rajdhani Express ( long distance speed trains eg. Delhi to Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai etc)
From Jaipur there are very fast express to places like Mumbai by Tejas Express( 1st AC or 2nd AC based on budget).
In India you can try and book under Foreigner quota for next or 2 day departures and reserved seats including a 2 person mini compartment called Coupe are available. Ask if they can book you a Coupe. All booking agents generally can understand and speak some English.
Trains are the best way to criss cross India and see places. You should try and see Mumbai ( it’s called New York of India as it never sleeps), Goa, Coastal Karnataka and Bangalore. From Bangalore you can go to Chennai and points South to take in different types of cuisines, lifestyles and Temples. Some of the richest Temples in the world are in South India! Happy travels!! Enjoy !!!
Lastly Mar to June will be hot hot so best to travel AC in trains, buses and taxis. You need sunscreen as it can burn otherwise. Cover you heads/ faces with a towel or light white linen to reflect radiative heat in the country ( it’s sub-tropical climate). Tell tours, pesky guides, ppl not to bother if you are not happy. They won’t mind and it’s not rude. Same if ppl ask to take photos with you.

For making tea, water is boiled first. It is absolutely safe to have tap water for tea 😀

I think on the first class, the seats are only allocated 6 hours before the train departs so that's why you are not getting the seat details. But kudos on the app. And generally most first class cabins are to the front of the train. Good job on figuring some of that out. I know you both have reached Goa already but if you need cutlery, you could ask the train staff, I've gotten it a few times 😅

Thank you for highlighting the shortcomings on Indian railway system in particular and services in general. The Indian viewers seem to gloss over or ignore these comments and I am not sure if politician/administrators even bother to watch these videos. Some good things are happening but that is for less than 3% of the passengers but for the remaining 97% not much is happening. We need a very big mindset change. Do not be complacent with relative improvement but go for absolute progress.

I understand the whole "safe water" concern. But a good rule of thumb is, if the water is served hot, it's been boiled and you should be ok. I did notice that you did drink fresh fruit juices on occasion and that is what you want to worry about. The fruit is not often washed properly or it's been washed with just tap water, so do NOT drink fresh fruit juices, tap water or any cold drink (lemondaide, fruit drinks and such). But chai you are very safe with, as that water was boiled and kept hot for hours. Love your videos guys, what SUPER fun couple you are! God bless your travels, stay safe and healthy! 😋😋🙏🙏

@@thebuddymoon Bro sorry but you should not speak on matter which you don't know.
At 4:40 couple who were already on your train seat ; was not experimenting just for fun AC first class ; no one does that ; it's actually nonsense to think such things like that . Actually there destination was arrived . Yeah I agree they should have left the cabin as soon as the train stop but you see it was actually night time so they mistakenly left asleep.
So next time Don't judge on things too quickly brother 🤠.

I don’t think bottled vs tap water matters for tea. The boiling part kills off all bacteria anyways. Also i am surprised those blankets were not replaced! 😮

We dont really use bottled water in Chai! But then the water used in chai, is vigorously boiled! So it is not gonna be bad for your health or smth! It is quite safe and tasty too!

5:41 well one can ask the attendants present in the train coach/bogey to change the blankets.
Some of the attendants are just a bit careless so they don't change, but they are supposed to & the passenger has the right to ask them for it. 🙂
And those pasengers who occupied the cabin before you, its not that they took it as it was empty, but it happens here that seats are allotted for partial journey, lets say from station A to B to one pasenger, and for journey from B to C same can be allotted to some other passenger. And as the passengers switch, the staff there changes the linen & the blanket as well.
Hope you enjoyed your stay in the Incredible India. Cheers. 🎉

You should ask the server to provide new Blankets. Some of them are not very diligent and cutting corners. All trains and train stations are being modernized across india in phases so couple of years later this should hopefully change in India.

The pillow covers and bed sheets are fresh. Those are to cover the pillow and line the blankets. So, basically you have a layer of fresh linen between you and the used blanket.

  • @redprint2007
    @redprint2007 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Yes.. so basically in Indian railways, they won’t take the blankets for washing thats why they give you 2 pieces of bed sheets. 1 is to put on the seats 2nd one is to cover the blanket. 😊
