No she has wavy hair, the diference between curly and wavy hair isn't the curl while the hair is dry, it's how well the hair can hold the curl while wet, so if the hair isn't holding most of it's curl while wet it's wavy, regardless of how curly it looks while dry. Hope this explains it well
havent heard that explanation before! Thank you! I typically go by this - if the spiral doesn't start at the root, or has a tendency to "fall loose" and become straighter without the use of strong hold styling products, then its more helpful to refer to it as wavy :) but I think were giving basically different versions of the same description :)
@Squish_squash no that's not how it works I wish it was that simple, the S shape hair pattern is one FORM of wavy hair but not the only one, lose curls are also wavy hair, tight curls that lose their form while wet or days after washing are also wavy, hair is more complex than just "it looks like this so it's this". I think what cracks me up in all of this is people saying, “I have natural curls”. Define natural. You have to use certain towels, 2 and 3 products, wrap your hair around your fingers or a brush, scrunch it, diffuse it or air dry it, break casts. It’s just frustrating. And all the bantering that happens about it.
It's all curls, just a different range in the intensity of the curls. Anyone in the curly hair community arguing over whether this is wavy or curly, needs to revisit the scale of curls. This wana hair seems to be a 3a/3b curl type.
Unpopular opinion: wavy hair is a form of curls!!! It is a curl type. Therefore, it’s curly. Also this girl DEFINITELY has curly hair they’re just not super duper tight curls. I would not say wavy at all. A lot of girls even with tight curls look like they have hardly any curls when they’re brushing their soaking wet hair since the water is weighing down on it so much.
I'm a bit lost, can someone please explain? Maybe a dumb question but I don't have beautiful curly hair so sorry forgive my ignorance. Isn't her hair curly? Is it wrong to call curly hair curly now? What did I miss?

@spirals 73 I think, it's unbelievably stupid. Like, who actually cares if her hair is curly or wavy. How is it bothering people that much? do people really nkt get the difference between curly and wavy hair? she has curly hair, she has spirals, they dont have to be tight but they r still spirals waves arent a full spiral and have a vert obvious difference
I like the 2021 side better, personally, although you could probably get away with using less product if that much is squished out when you twist it. I wanted to cry when the gel plopped out after you took your hand away. That stuff is so expensive! Also, it's ridiculous that anyone insists you have wavy, not curly hair. It's curlier than mine and I say my hair is curly. (Mine is 2C/3A.) People will go to war over the dumbest things.

Do you dry it with a towel or "roll" it up in it before? It also looks very dry already before your start... mabe that??
Maybe her hair is a mix, mine was super curly in my beginning stage of taking care of my curls but almost 2 years in there are definitely a mixture of 2 c and some 3a hair. But in my country people would always say my hair is curly even if it was technically more wavy. So I go with curly.
From what I understood from official categorization is when you have ringlets going on - that's curly, and wavey is literally waves. I see tight ringlets in this video. That's curly. Wavey is what my hair does most of the time, except the few ringlets once in a while and how it suddenly dried in full ringlets last week 😮
Everyone is arguing in the comments if she has curly or wavy hair😭😭she has those scrumptious spirally curls, she has curly hair just type 2c to 3a no one needs to argue
@@EatonArrsenik Ofc it doesn’t when it’s wet. All hair weighed down with water doesn’t curl as much as it does when it’s dry. However coily hair might spring up more. My hair is way more curly than hers and when it’s wet brushed it doesn’t form the curls YET because I just brushed it and the water is weighing it down. Even if you just brush your hair straight down without teasing it’ll still be curly once it’s dry. You can also clearly see in the video her curls were already forming before she teased it. If you were to search up “hair types” online you’ll see that there are 4 different types of hair categories. Straight, wavy, curly, and coily.
I think to determine if you have curly or wavy is by air drying your hair without doing anything. That seems like the best way to know. But in the end who cares right? Cause it’s your hair 😉

your hair is 3a even some 3b you have curly hair. thats far frm wavy. Its about the chart 1,2,3,4. not a label of ur whole hair being curly or wavy. You just hv 3 curl patterns.
Imo, the reason to not claim your hair is curly if you have waves is because if i were to search curly hair i would just see waves and think that tighter curls are uncommon and maybe even ugly. So just put your specific hair tye(2C,3A,4C,etc..)

Is no one going to talk about how the product spilled
I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS COMMENT😅😅
Came here to say this lol
No! Not everyone comes to point out mistakes 🤦🏼♀️
@@nikkiturner8431 I don't think anyone meant it in a mean way. It was just funny lol
@@MermaidKerri Maybe not no but it seems any little mistake ppl make overshadows the whole video. I watched one on here where a lady did an an amazing long detailed tutorial but the whole comment section was filled with "your nails on squint "🥴. It just seems ppl are so quick to pick on ppls flaws all the time. Woman should be lifting women up.
Your hair is super beautiful
Ngl, I kinda like the side with the 'mistakes' better. Just personal preference I guess. 😁
Bro has curly hair❤
Honestly i feel like the 2021 side looks more moisturised and defined so i think it looks better
Those things aren't to "make your hair curl," they're to not look like a fckin witch 😂
why are ppl always tryna gatekeep hair like its special 😭 ur hair is gorgeous and i have hair like this so would u recommend any light hair products ?
It's all curls, just a different range in the intensity of the curls. Anyone in the curly hair community arguing over whether this is wavy or curly, needs to revisit the scale of curls. This wana hair seems to be a 3a/3b curl type.
Did you see her hair when it was wet… It wasn’t making spirals
Its all because of the curly hair police lmao they're trying to gatekeep curly hair and they're always telling others what to call their hair type.
Yes her hair is curly! I don’t know what people are talking about🤦🏽♀️
My hair is not as curly as yours but when I took the LUS quiz, I bought the curly kit. I hope the all in one works! Now I’m thinking I should have bought the wavy set
see if it works for you! I get great results with teh curly too - i just prefer the wavy + the gel :)
don’t worry about it she 100% has curly hair hahaha
2021 side looks better
Love your wavy hair it is so Good ❤😊
My hair pattern is pretty similar when it’s longer.
My absolute best hair day was like 3 days ago and i definitely used too much product. But my hair was so wavy and so voluminous and pretty much what your hair looks like in '22 compared to '21
However, it may not have been the amount of product, there's a few other things i did differently from normal
I mean either way, both methods look beautiful on you so it doesn’t matter lol. Btw I think your hair is a mix of wavy and curly and I see mostly curls in your hair 😊
Your hair is BEAUTIFUL. You have curly hair wavy hair is curly hair! Yes there is a difference but it’s still curly. Your is definitely curly tho!
Wavy is crazy
You are gorgeous 😍🥰 girl.....love from India 🇮🇳
Gorgeous curls!
Sorry to tell you 2021 looks better lmao
We're really having a war over whether or not her hair is curly or wavy?!
@spirals 73 I think, it's unbelievably stupid. Like, who actually cares if her hair is curly or wavy. How is it bothering people that much? I agree with you to an extent but it's mainly because people want to cause conflict for no reason. Maybe, people are jealous. We'll never know, I guess. Imagine, posting a harmless video and more than 50% of comments are at war to tell someone that there hair is curly or wavy.
Ps. Sorry, about the rant. You have beautiful curls from your profile picture! ❤
@@DisneyFan1I think it's mostly because people want to know how to take care of her and for that they have to be sure if its wavy or curly
@user-wh5ir4fo4rYou can straighten tight coils… There isn’t less options
Your hair looks exactly like mine when wet but when it dries the bottom coils up more and the top straightens out to like 2b it’s really annoying.
Mine is 2b as well and dries straighter at the top but I have longish hair. she has a different curl type than yours just like everyone does. I wish mine would curl more too😭
Loved the i love my curls products until I found out I'm allergic to moringa oil.
I just dont have that kind of patience.
I feel like 2021 looks better, is it just me?
In my hair, there is no such thing as TOO MUCH product 🤣
When you glazed the gel after brush styling it went really fast (2022 side) did you take it through with your hands? If you did how did you manage to do that without making your hair flat at the top? Thanks in advance!
Gorgeous
I have wavy hair similar to yours that does form some nice sidewalk chalk thick curls, but I also consider myself more wavy than curly even though everyone says my hair is curly lol
What is the wavy all-in-one? Thanks
do people really nkt get the difference between curly and wavy hair? she has curly hair, she has spirals, they dont have to be tight but they r still spirals waves arent a full spiral and have a vert obvious difference
i actually like the 2021 side😅
I like the 2021 side better, personally, although you could probably get away with using less product if that much is squished out when you twist it. I wanted to cry when the gel plopped out after you took your hand away. That stuff is so expensive! Also, it's ridiculous that anyone insists you have wavy, not curly hair. It's curlier than mine and I say my hair is curly. (Mine is 2C/3A.) People will go to war over the dumbest things.
if thats wavy then my hair can be classified as straight oh my goodness
Me, blissfully unaware: I'll start watching some videos to see if I can get my curls to be more consistent
The whole curvy/wavy hair internet, apparently: LET'S GET READY TO RRRRRUMBLLLLLEEEE
2022 looks a bit more curly then 2021
I would never be able to do half and half of my hair, because well half of my hair is a little straighter than the other always 😢
What type of haircut do you have ???
HOOOOOW do your roots have so much volume??? My curls are much tighter and my roots is sooo flat, I have to touch ot every 5minutes to make it look cute and up 🥲 I dont apply any leave in on it... sometimes it looks like its just from person to person, but ant tips???
That means your hair is curly, it may just be dehydrated or weighed down. Mine is the same way, I can't be bothered to diffuse it most of the time.
How do you dry your hair? Do you air dry or do you use a hair dryer?
i use a blowdryer and a diffuser attachment :)
Everyone is arguing in the comments if she has curly or wavy hair😭😭she has those scrumptious spirally curls, she has curly hair just type 2c to 3a no one needs to argue
Does her wet hair spiral? No
@@EatonArrsenik Ofc it doesn’t when it’s wet.
2021 is better
As a biracial with curly hair… I confirm you have curly hair. You have spirals what’s the problem with people
Your race is irrelevant
I think to determine if you have curly or wavy is by air drying your hair without doing anything. That seems like the best way to know. But in the end who cares right? Cause it’s your hair 😉
My hair its a little bit curlier and all the steticians that i've visited refer to it as curly, not wavy. I thought that 1 was for super straight hair, 2a straight, 2b,c wavy, 3abc curly, 4abc afro curly
Waves dont make corkscrews😫💀
Her hair does loops so it’s definitely curly. And anyways, waves are a type of curls, it was said by professionals so yeah wavy people AND curly people are in the same boat so stop trying to make a stupid war about just hair.
Very beautiful hair but i think that the lady's type of hair is more curly rather than wavy. I'd love my wavy hair look so voluminised and bounced
You look so beautiful with that curly hair
i have stick straight hair and im not in this wavy/curly bubble..but HOW IS THIS NOT CURLY???
She Seems To Have Something Against People With Curly Hair Since She Doesn't Want To Be Classified As One Even Though She Herself Has Curly Hair.
No, it's not that. Many 3A white ladies won't say their hair is curly bc the curly police are raging assholes to them if they do
if this is wavy mine is straight
does anybody have tips and advice to fix puffy roots and defined ends?? i always struggle with it no matter how much product and gel i put on it so please give feedback😭🙏🏾
Oh I wish my curls would look like yours. My way hair is 2 A/B curl pattern. What is yours?
Everytime I add product in my curly hair it gets flat and greasy , what should I do
When i grew up you had curly hair if it wasn't straight. If it curled it was curly- simple. I hate how it's all been overcomplicated now, i thought the number classifications were great to get specific but the curl policing thing is really sad. We should just let people enjoy their hair and not quibble over definitions everyone has a different idea of ❤
It looks like a similar outcome maybe more volume in 2022
your hair is 3a even some 3b you have curly hair. thats far frm wavy. Its about the chart 1,2,3,4. not a label of ur whole hair being curly or wavy. You just hv 3 curl patterns.
But it's curly not wavy
Imo, the reason to not claim your hair is curly if you have waves is because if i were to search curly hair i would just see waves and think that tighter curls are uncommon and maybe even ugly. So just put your specific hair tye(2C,3A,4C,etc..)
My hair always looks at the top of my head when I wear it wavy. What am I doing wrong 😢
maam…that is absolutely not wavy. you clearly have 3a hair. i’m not seeing one wavy hair in sight they’re all curls 😭
Is this brand good for little girl hair ?
Hey!! What is your haircut style ? please share
