      My hair was pin straight as a toddler but then at 5 slight waves started showing, now it depends on how my hair dries 😭

    I'm so glad that you posted this! As a fine-haired wavy girly I struggle SO MUCH with getting definition and not weighing my hair down with product. I am in absolute awe that you are able to get a wash day to last 2-3 days.

      I feel you!! These products would probably work really for you bc they’re pretty light and don’t weigh hair down. Just don’t use too much and experiment with only using 1 or 2 together! Something like the The curl smith styling soufflé could also work well for finer hair 😊

    Idk fs rn if my hair is straight or a bit wavy, it depends on how it dries(air drying makes it wavier & using a hair dryer js makes it straight w a few streaks of hair being wavy), as i got older my hair got shorter & wavier. Im just glad there are people who are able to help others recognize their natural hair type which they didn't know of before and now they know how to care for their hair properly & embrace the natural hair(if they want to)

    My hair looks a lot like yours. I just cant understand how i am not supposed to brush my hair😅😂 It gets tangled really easily and i would HATE to get my hair wet and crunch it Again EVERYTIME i need to brush them😢 I think my hair is just broken😢😅

    • @Junyrmint16
      @Junyrmint16 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      You could try brushing your conditioner into your hair while in the shower (use a Wet Brush or something safe for soaking wet hair). It makes your hair really smooth and tangle free that way you don't have to brush and break up your curls. Also I would try a leave in conditioner after you get out of the shower

    My hair looks poofy and all over the place when I let it self dry and don't touch it with a brush, soon as I brush it, it gets straight as an arrow. Some years ago I stopped using heat on it, it's been drying very fast since then and are healthier. I tired this method, (not the hair drying part though).... but alas didn't do anything.
    My hair is extremely tangled so I tried brushing mine in the shower with conditioner in it like someone suggested in the comments below, could that be the reason it doesn't work?
    Maybe my hair is drying this way because it's healthy and not wavy?

  • @ceystal
    @ceystal 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

    Im lazy so I just apply my products directly in the shower. Unless im going for a different result, 90% of the time I go for a messy beachy wave similar to yours!

    • @ceystal
      @ceystal 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@melindab I haven't diffused my hair in like 6 months 😅. I don't mind the elongated waves I get and mousse/foam gives me the volume I love. Sometimes I don't even microplop and just let my hair air dry from soaking wet to really elongate my waves!

    Okay don’t laugh but I just turned 60 and my hair has changed so much omg hate it anyway I have 2b one length hair until I can get to the dressers my hair is like 2a underneath and 2b on the top except for the back of my head by the end of the part it so freaking bad it actually springs up I mean even in the shower so I guess I may have 2c as well back there anyway it’s driving me crazy. Any advice on what would help lay that down? I’ve done a honey c-oil treatment I’m so confused I found you on google and you say too use protein I’ve already spent a fortune on stuff with no luck 🍀 ola-plex6 leave in conditioner and a gel by Quidad heat and humidity no luck still. Which is the best way to start off would you recommend protein and then these products? HELP.

    How do you avoid brushing it the next day? My hair looks a lot like yours and the next day i just desperately want to brush. Everyone says not to, but i hate the way my head feels if i dont. Of course, i have brushed my hair multiple times a day for de ades...

    • @melindab
      @melindab  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

      If you really need to brush it, you’ll need to spray it down with water and fully saturate it with water, brush it then add a bit more gel and rescrunch. I never brush mine but it doesn’t bother me :/ I just detangle in the shower and I’m good! You don’t need to be tangle free with wavy hair. We shouldn’t be running our fingers through it anyways 😬

  • @mich_cadx
    @mich_cadx 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    I could never rake my fingers through my hair so easily after a shower. It takes painstaking 10-15 minutes to detangle with a comb. It seems like no hair influences ever have 1 tangle in their hair lol

    • @agorsline09
      @agorsline09 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Have you tried brushing it in the shower with a Wet Brush while the conditioner is still in it? That works for my daughter’s hair. Mine is stick straight so it’s all trial and error figuring out what works for her, which is why I’m watching this!

    • @melindab
      @melindab  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      My hair really doesn’t get tangly but I also do detangle in the shower with conditioner! Do you do that? What you see in the video is my second detangle just to apply products

    I love this! My hair is super similar to yours. Do you sleep with anything over your hair to protect the style? I haven't found a method that works the best for me so I end up having to refresh my wash days the next day.

    i dont get it, i tried several products , several different vidoes/ techniques and eery time i scrunch or flip and scrunch or try to use a difuser it just tangles up and it just breaks up the curl locks into frizzy individual strands and end up looking frizzy and tangled throughout the day 😐 it def never lasts , i have to end up washing it every day cause then its so frizzy and a rats nest that it has to be washed to start over- and how low is the difuser even on lowest it looks like my hair is in a wind tunnel

    • @melindab
      @melindab  12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Your hair should definitely not be blowing around at all. You might need a new diffuser. Wavy and curly hair needs gentle air flow that won’t disrupt the curls as they set. Also, you need a little more product when you diffuse
