    Awesome, I have the next 5 years planned out, 3 albums, and the ultimate goal of selling out Red Rocks amphitheater. You heard it here first. I have it all drafted and mind-mapped out on my whiteboards, but I'm posting it here too.

    When you asked about what types of songs for new artists vs. established artists, I expected him to say the debut artist needs "The Best and Catchiest Song Ever", but he didn't. I was surprised.

      @Tin Whistle & Music Yeah, but that was 4 years ago. TikTok was in its infancy. I wonder if his philophy has changed.

      All A&R are not created equal. Although they have very similar traits in certain areas, there are differences out there for what they look for etc. Great comment though. As far as Pete Ganbarg, we hope to hopefully do a follow up with him for either the podcast or another on camera interview. We'll keep you posted. MUBUTV

    I went through their artists they got bazzi and we all know he had a great run. They also got 2 techno style dudes who are mid to decent max and each got more than 6+ million monthly listeners. They also have some run of the mill rappers with good numbers as well. That tells me they definitely know what their doing in APG

      It's cool to see you've done your research on APG's lineup. Bazzi definitely made waves, and it's impressive that the techno artists are pulling in over 6 million monthly listeners each. Seems like APG has a solid grasp on the industry, balancing both popular and emerging talents across different genres. Their ability to recognize and promote talent with good numbers, especially in the rap game, just adds to that reputation. Thanks for watching. MUBUTV

    So for an up and coming artist.. are you saying.. don't hop on TT and try to go viral because it may not do anything for you? or get a major label's attention?

    • @MUBUTV
      @MUBUTV  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks so much for your comments on our interview with Andre from APG. I think trying to be authentic with what it is that you're doing as an artist is paramount. It all starts with just writing great songs first and building the rest of your story as you go along your journey. Decide on what platforms work best for you and your brand as an artist & audience. Not everyone has to be doing TT's to go viral. The music is what needs to grab peoples attention. MUBUTV

    very discouraged, i've written over 300 songs, and i genuinely enjoy listening to and playing all of them. i play guitar and drums, but do not have a band. no one wants to sign me, i only have 100 monthly listeners on spotify and i feel so stuck. if any a & r see this please reach out, i know we could do great things together.

      You have a genuine passion for your art, but unfortunately, that's not what successful artists do. Let's take justin bieber as an example. Justin never wrote a single song in his life. Scooter Bruan paid famous producers like The dream and tricky stewart to create Justin's hit song 'baby.' Then he paid Ludacris to do a guest verse on the song. Then he ran paid marketing campaigns to promote the record and build up a fan base. If Justin was "following his passion" it would have gotten him nowhere. The job of an A&R is to generate a return on investment for their label. In other words, make money. So what does this mean for you? Take your passion for writing songs and combine that with an investment in producing a financially successful act.

    I have a vision too..its about art..u repeating constantly artist artist artist..when u take a song from a song writer and give it to a singer (u call artist )..isnt it like choosing colors for a painter..or the ingredients for a dish...that singer is so limited ..if he succed with a dish..it wont do with another..it even makes the cooking hard..guess what? Forget about cooking its like sculpting, u come with the rock he scuulpt it ...
    😅😅

      Absolutely, your vision paints a vivid picture of the creative process, and we love the analogy you've used! It's true that in the world of art, whether it’s music, painting, or culinary arts, every creator brings their unique touch to the materials they're given. A songwriter's lyrics and melody being interpreted by a singer is indeed similar to an artist choosing their palette of colors or a chef selecting their ingredients. Each artist, in their own medium, sculpts, paints, or cooks something that's uniquely theirs, influenced by their personal experiences, emotions, and technique.
      This perspective beautifully highlights the collaborative nature of creativity. Just like how a piece of marble holds the potential of countless sculptures within it, waiting for the sculptor to reveal what's hidden inside, a song carries various possibilities that come to life through the singer's voice and interpretation. Success in one piece doesn't guarantee success in another, which makes the journey of creation both challenging and exhilarating.
      The process is indeed intricate and personal, much like sculpting from a block of stone - it requires patience, vision, and a deep understanding of the medium. Each artist, whether they are writing a song, singing it, painting, or cooking, contributes to the beauty of the final masterpiece in their unique way. Thank you for sharing your insightful thoughts!
