Gotta love this collab between Simon and Paul lately, they truly are 100% buddies, despite the competitiveness during bigger events. They keep it real and fun :)
seriously, paul, simon, and eagle need to do something together. maybe a series or something. like top 10 rated courses in the USA or something along those lines... that's serious content. thx again for everything!!!
@@projectdynasty7536 that sounds like an awesome series, then they can invite a local that runs the course or plays it alot, that can give some backround for it as well!
Exactly, I love the flair, but I hope he clubs down a bit and does more "Paul lines" lol. I just love watching him do well in tournaments, he's such a nice and genuine dude.
I've been saying for several years that simon would literally win everything if he just played smart. He has all the disc throwing ability and power to boot when he needs it.
Honestly I think Simon is a natural showman more than he is a fierce competitor. I've long thought that in terms of raw talent he's top 5, he just uses that talent to push the envelope and I appreciate that. Nobody can win every tournament but Simon has the capability to be the most entertaining player at whatever tournament he enters.
Yeah these are fast throws with a lot of spin but nowhere close to a disc's critical mach number. Even if that were humanly possible, the shockwaves that form at transonic speeds would destroy the disc's ability to generate lift.
Maybe getting injured and forcing yourself to throw nice and easy is a blessing in disguise. You have been shredding it lately in the videos I have seen, form is on point and your angle control seems better than you were pre injury. Great video man!
Paul at the end of a previous video: You're not ready for the Pro Tour, but you're probably ready for an average tournament. Simon: Let's check out that new course of yours and keep score and see how things go for you...
Love seeing the pros struggle, in good fun of course. Simon's looking like he's not too far from being tour ready. Hope he comes back stronger than ever.
He said he was ready for tournaments, the tour week after week of practice and playn needing big shots and staying on the road is a differrent thing wear and tear wise
@@outandabout259 Long winter and a shoulder/arm injury has done the same for me but in like everything, haha. Feels like I have to start from scratch again. My release angle is totaly wild and I can barely get the most understable discs to turn atm... Well well...
@@1Dreamking I also lost some 30 meters / 100 feet of distance in my drive 😬 luckily my practising place is getting dry so I can go sort out my technique again.

Love the wind ripping sound of Simon's disc at 3:50. Several other throws by all players had great audio of the discs ripping the wind. That mic is crazy good for disc golf.
I saw Nate & Paul in person when they came to my city and that’s the one thing that stuck with me. The sound of the disc is crazy! I’d been playing for 3 years at that point but had never heard anything like it from locals.
It's the sound of the disc hitting the branches. It's just a little toss from the woods, you can see how far it goes... Just because it comes off Simon's hand doesn't mean it's a rocket :D.
@@Naegimaggu I didn't think he threw that hard either. I listened a few more time and I now think it was traffic noise reflecting from the disc. Still, that's a crazy good mic pick-up. It wasn't hitting any branches during the whoosh sound over the fairway.
@@kenta3148 I listened it again with headphones to hear it more clearly and now I'm thinking it's an added sound effect, I think that would be a thing Simon would do :D.
@Naegimaggu - I don't think it's an added effect. You can hear it on Paul's shot at 16:12 as well, and I heard lower volume sounds on some other shots too. I think it depends on the angle of the disc and the placement of the camera. On that one at 3:50 at @Kent A mentioned, the camera is in front of the throw, and the bottom of the disc (which is on hyzer) is facing the camera, so the sound seems to be loudest coming off the bottom of the disc as it's thrown.
Guys, after watching these last couple videos with Simon and Paul I've come to a conclusion. Simon's really REALLY good at disc golf. This elbow injury may be the greatest thing to ever happen to him, because he is crushing it when he goes at like half(?) his normal throw. 2022 could be really fun to watch folks.
I totally love the two camera filming! It's incredibly easy to watch in comparison with one camera from the tee. Really makes the viewer experience enjoyable, even for a practice round.
Course looks SICK. Absolute monster with great (LONG) layout, pads, signs and new PMB baskets. Great to watch these guys battle it out cold turkey. Simon lurkin hard with some long-putting. 15:35 Paul: "Just don't throw it hard, Simon" (to be careful with his healing injury). Simon: "Yeah I'm not." 1/2 throw 450 feet.
