I am 40. Hope your body is holding up well. Mine is sore from playing. I do not remember another sport or physical fitness increasing my stamina this much.
I don't know which is more impressive: the first eagle in the first up shot on the first hole's maiden voyage, the back to back eagles on the first and second time playing the opening par 4 you designed, or the aesthetic design prowess to want a fountain on that beautiful pond hole.
I think Avery has a good amount of responsibility at Discmania. One of his jobs is to design and install courses for Discmania's Disc Golf Park and he seems to enjoy it. I don't believe there is a comparable job at MVP. But maybe something else worthwhile for him? I would guess he's staying at Discmania.
It always makes me smile to see a kid throw an ace. You know after that he's gonna play for the rest of his life. There's nothing better than watching a disc fly the perfect line.
I like your stated mindset for making this course. Feels like most pros right now mostly consider course design from a pro perspective without considering keeping the fun in the game for average players, so as an MA3/MA2 player, it's much appreciated.
As a player who is fastly approaching 47 and is in that 300-350 range, that's awesome you had that in mind while designing the course. What an absolutely amazing throw in right off hole 1 too! You're an amazing human being Simon!! The course looks great!
It would be awesome to see a Sunday farmers market once the farm is up and producing . Get families into disc golf through clean grown food . Charge small cover for other booth spots so people can show off their crafts / arts . Proceeds go back to property to help grow more great food and course maintenance.
Sweet looking course and awesome to have Avery join you. Brought back a memory of that first year you 2 toured and did clinics across the US, good times :)
Having kids changes everything. It’s an absolutely beautiful thing and definitely no regrets. I almost went pro traditional golf and fell in love with my wife. Been married 21 years and have an awesome 20 year old kid and would not change a thing. Thank you. Great looking course
Nice of Simon to think of my noodle ~300 max arm when designing this course! It's tough to get dedicated disc golf courses that aren't public parks that keep us in mind. :D
Depends where you live really. Lots of courses here in the SE where you don't need much distance. I can throw like 340 max on a flex line and there's no par 3s that I can't reach in my area. Of course I don't always get there because I'm bad but it's possible. The only holes that I physically cannot reach are par 4 or 5 or are on the championship level courses. I know out west they have a lot more courses that are wide open bomber courses since there aren't as many forests or as much terrain to work with.
Always great vibes whenever AJ on the scene! Hope we get to see him on the back 9 and honestly a replay of the front 9 for a complete 18 so we can see how he improves after hes not playing blind. Looks like a fun course so far!
Congratulations Simon, looks like a fun layout! Next time you are in NC and have a day to spare, we need to get you out to The Country Course for a round! Aka, The CC🙏 Oldest private DGC in NC, with the Original 1990 hanging course basket. Where every hole is a signature hole! Positive Vibes since 1989, Course designer, Downs Eddy.
Really pretty and challenging course for all. Anxious to see some tournaments?? Nice work to all involved. Große Auswahl an Grundstücken und Lochplatzierungen. Reply
Simon, there is this lovely little course called Cross Farms in Tolland, CT. Not too far from Worcester. Come on by and play it, I’d love to see how you do!
I watched you from a gallery at the preserve, and something I can never rap my head around is how the discs sound like a rocket ship coming out of your hand.
Live right behind hole 12 and noticed people on a chart along with some walkers that Monday the 1st. Had a hunch it was you Simion! Can't wait for the grand opening! Definitely going to be there! After the golf course closed, was when I started really getting into disc golf and always hoped it would be changed into a disc golf course! Pumped! See you on the 17th! 👍🏻🥏🗑
Love it. Simon, who is one of the only people to ever complain about talking during a skins match. Talks during every other players shots on his channel. Course look amazing!
Any video with Avery is interesting. Cool dude. Saw him throw at our local course Ultuna, Uppsala Sweden a couple of years ago. When he was on the hunt for courses. 😂
Looks great! Only thing from the video would be to find a better way to secure the hanging basket. Talk to Greg (Casey's bud) from BDR in NH. He mounts them with 4 lines so they attach to the basket under tension in a square to minimize swing. Works well.
Great looking course Simon! Would love to hit it up if I’m ever on that side of the country. Wanted to let you know that you should be able to dive into the menus on your camera and adjust the autofocus sensitivity so it doesn’t want to move around so much. You can also probably set your autofocus priority to the center of the frame.
Looks great! Can’t wait until it’s finished. Assuming it’s pay to play as well. My only suggestion, and it’s not a criticism, is, on the holes that have exposed tee pads, why not install a pergola or use sail or something. It gets hot and a nice bit of shade helps so much. I’ve played in Mass in the rain and Meadow Orchards is a good example. If there were some covered areas behind those exposed tee pads to hide from the sun and the rain that course would be next level. Not every hole needs it just the ones that are in the middle of a field with nothing else around. I get it with upkeep and cost but if it’s pay to play course I would pay more to have this luxury. Just a thought and not a shot at this course. There are a lot of courses here in Texas that could do this too.
"I want people who throw 300 feet to 350 to score really well when they come out here." This almost brought a tear to my 41 year old eyes.
I am 40. Hope your body is holding up well. Mine is sore from playing. I do not remember another sport or physical fitness increasing my stamina this much.
Then he bombed a 500+ft tee shot. Hhahahahaha
@@noroom4commies086definitely wasn’t. He said he threw in from like 250. Which makes his tee shot no more than about 350
@@kyleweir689 Well he did on hole 8 later on in the video which is what he ment I think.
maybe 400 450 lol
Saw Avery Jenkins absolutely demolish a bag of Doritos when he was here in New Zealand. What a legend
Lmao
Absolutely living up to the man of the people! making a course that people who throw 300-350 CAN score well on is such an awesome design!
I don't know which is more impressive: the first eagle in the first up shot on the first hole's maiden voyage, the back to back eagles on the first and second time playing the opening par 4 you designed, or the aesthetic design prowess to want a fountain on that beautiful pond hole.
The pond because it is far more lasting of a concept.
IM THE SHOT OF THE DAY!
Congrats!! Great ace 🤙
Haha even better than the ace is seeing this
@@remysmith6021 thanks

Simon and Avery, a combo I have missed so so much. Avery, come to MVP!!!!

Nuh-uh😂
This course looks beautiful and I love that you made it for the 300-350 feet players can score super well. Making the game more enjoyable. 🔥
Simon must love his fans. "I wanted people that throw 300-350 to be able to play this course pretty well" Thats me. I cant wait to try this course!!
Congrats Simon good work… good round yesterday at Des Moines let’s see a good comeback 😅 or at least another good round 💪

Great idea. I would be there 100%.
There is a farm stand/craft shop on the property that will also be the pro shop
@@danarnberg6391 so cool
Avery is an absolute legend! So happy to see him on here!
it never gets old seeing Simon show this course off. the amount of pride and joy he shows for it is so awesome.
Avery is a legend. So glad to see him on the vlog again.
Congrats on the course! Definitely keep having Avery on your videos! Fun watching two legends!
Sweet looking course and awesome to have Avery join you. Brought back a memory of that first year you 2 toured and did clinics across the US, good times :)
This course looks absolutely sick. Great job so far

Nice of Simon to think of my noodle ~300 max arm when designing this course! It's tough to get dedicated disc golf courses that aren't public parks that keep us in mind. :D
300ft isn’t a noodle arm, really. It’s pretty average among average players.

Unbelievable Simon you really outdid yourself here. And how about that second throw in on hole 1! Let’s Go
This course looks really fun. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
Course looks great! Excellent work by all involved there. Another fun video and Special Guest Avery was a huge bonus.
Awesome course and it was a blast watching you this weekend at DMC! Thanks for coming out!
Avery and Simon! Let's go!
Awesome first design! I like as much or more than several of Houck’s courses near here! WTG!!
Another throw-in on hole one?!!! WOW!!!! That's insane! Great job!
This course is right up my alley, being one of those 300-350' players. Great video and can't wait to play the course someday.
Looking great! Some day I wish to visit USA and playing discs 🤟🦅
The course lools good. It's always nice to seeyouanf Avery together.
Congrats on the course Simon!! If the opening is on the 17th of august, I’m gonna try to come up from NC to play it!
That 2nd shot throw-in was sick!! Awesome start w/ an Eagle!
Avery looking great
So glad to see a fabulous course that is a tester for advanced players.
Avery Jenkins Teebird was my favorite disc when I started getting into the sport in 2012🤩
Still is for some of us:)
Nice course! Great job Simon and Casey
@1:34 bruh 😳makes it look so effortless. Congrats on your Mile Marker 63 Disc Golf course!!! Wish it was in Michigan ☹

We shouldn't let those rectangles tell us what to do!
The course looks great Simon, hope to play it someday.

Definitely going to have to make a trip from NJ out there to play the course looks incredible!
Awesome course. Hey Avery, if you’re reading these comments for any reason, I throw AJ destroyers and AJ tour series Teebirds all the time. Love em.
Coming to cheer you on today big guy let’s crush this indianola course!
I watched you from a gallery at the preserve, and something I can never rap my head around is how the discs sound like a rocket ship coming out of your hand.

Former golf courses make wicked awesome dgolf courses. Played an awesome one like that in AR a few times recently.

Looks fantastic 10 minutes away ! Looks like a field trip for Oakholm disc golf and 501 members to gather for a round 🤘
Oakholm is becoming pretty awesome too! Where is this new one located?
Love from Georgia
I think I remember the first video and Simon throwing in on first hole
Let’s goooooo🎉
Two throw in eagles the first 2 times you throw on it!!!
Thats an eagle! Even more impressive!
I am lucky enough to have the first tee time opening day! See you then!
Avery was awesome to see
Damn. Need to get my hands on a few pixels and just putt and putt. What a difference it makes
all of disc golf is invited 🤯
Look's like an awesome course!
Dang! August 17 my Bday. I’ll have to make a point to visit one day.
Awesome course!
Avery designed a course about 45 minutes from Idlewild called three rivers. I love it
Looks like a super fun course!
My first Ace was with a Pixel. By far my favorite disc and second is the Envy. That Envy gets me parked anywhere within 150’

Noooo I am out of town on the opening weekend. Will make it up there shortly after though!
Simon made a course for us mere mortals... I can't wait to come see this course in person :D
