    • @pattayperformance

  • @dennisboyce813
    @dennisboyce813 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How the bowl goes on does matter and it looks like that you might have been putting it on incorrectly but you went out of frame and when you came back it looked right. The bowl goes on with the rectangular box over the jet package if you put it together with the drain plug over the jet they push on each other and the pressure can cause the drain plug to leak, like in emptying the tank.

      @@dennisboyce813,
      If it runs and dies, in most cases it is fuel.
      Try this…need some ninja skills or have help. Keep air filter cover off, start the mower and it will start. As it starts to die, spray starter fluid into the carb. If the mower continues to run, it is still a fuel delivery issue.

    I tried this twice and I'm encountering fuel leakage after I put it back together (both times). After the second time removing/cleaning, it ran great for a couple minutes but then I noticed the fuel leak returned. It wasn't leaking fuel prior to me removing the carburetor. Do you have any idea where fuel would most likely leak from?

    • @pattayperformance
      @pattayperformance  ปีที่แล้ว

      Fuel Leak can be from...
      fuel line
      throat of carb (which is a float issue)

      Jason Myjak, sometimes debris works it way and keep spring open. I assume your clean it all well. Try and adjust the governor where spring mounts to solid bracket. You bend the bracket forward or backward to adj the RPM. If it remains unchanged try resetting the GOV at the motor. Still doesn’t work new spring. If that doesn’t work...you have internal failure

      My gut feeling its still fuel related. The get on these is very small and sometimes they need to be drilled out very small. Before we do that...
      When it runs and dies does it start right back up and does the same?
      How about do this...
      Clamp the bail cable down like your going to start it so it frees up your hands. Start it quickly while its running, as it starts to die hit it with some go-go juice. if it continues to run you know its still fuel related.

      Piscean88 OH NO! So sorry it slipped my mind...the INFAMOUS torch plug! If you plan on keeping these machines long term, best to throw the OEM TORCH PLUG and go with NGK / Champion equivalent!
      Great job on figuring it out! Happy Mowing!

    I wish I had this problem. Mine runs but surges with a brand new plastic carb.

    Are you using break cleaner?

      @pattayperformance  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes but just make sure you don’t get it on the rubber pieces

      To get it started
      Starting fluid
      To clean the carb jets
      Brake clean

    So I did all the above, but now instead of starting and dying, it doesn’t really start at all. Help? Lol

      Do it again...must have missed something and or assembled it wrong. You just caught me at the end of my break. Keep me updated and give me time to respond since I’m at work.

      @@pattayperformance Thanks for the response! I ended up draining the fuel and that solved it. I'd advise anyone with mower issues to do that first before taking anything apart haha
