As someone who plays with siblings. We were all disappointed that we could not use the new characters and the characters we didn’t already have unlocked. We played it for a good minute even after the game closed down since local was available. We had everything unlocked, emotes, skins all the characters at that time. It was fun and amazing. I really hope they go back to how it was for local.

A dev has addressed that they’re working on most of these things, but they didn’t talk about the features that are missing, to me this is really important. Not seeing any stats after a game in 2v2s just makes me feel really empty and idk how good I really did
Shit is so ass they removed everything for no fucking reason I can t see my place in global stats and they fucked up the character progresion and many other things
5:05 I thank god I saved all 30 of my character tickets, and after watching this ? I’ll be saving them UNTIL a character I REALLY want is released and I’ll spend 1 ticket to get them
People aren't hating for no reason, they removed features and created a worse version of the beta, as if that was possible. I'm sorry it's true. But Player First Games have no one but themselves to blame at this point.
They removed so many things from the game it's so weird... Also, who tf asked for WB to change the speed of the game?? Am I wrong for thinking nobody asked for that type of shit???
Regardless of the speed changes (which I actually like): Why are post-game stats gone? Why can’t I edit my controls when in the lab? Why can’t people try characters before they buy them? Why no ranked or roadmap for future ranked? Why is the UI clunky and often laggy? Those are just the ones off the top of my head. Idek how it’s possible to spend a year and remove features like that, which everyone enjoyed.
I agree they removed a good amount of features for no reason at all the leaderboards, character rewards, perks, etc. but you’re hating a lil too much the beta was fantastic and that’s why it gained so my traction I really feel like they’ll listen to the community and fix the things we want although I think the game speed is in a good spot there’s time to react and counter play now it’s not all just rundown and spam anymore people hate things that take skill lol
I think Void wasn’t really saying they were complaining for no reason, though. In fact he agreed with a lot of the complaints as far as Grindy unlocks and removed features went. The real frustration seemed to be with people calling the gameplay itself garbage just because it’s slower.
They've removed some things that make no sense, like being able to try out characters before purchasing them, and also how are locals gonna work?? The characters are all locked..
I love how you stated that you love NASB 1. Personally that game wasn't fun for me, but you thought it was fun and having to enjoy games while being your true self as a content creator is really great message. I love Multiversus Beta and played it even when it was dying with like only 300-400 people left on it and played it until they shut it down. While the new release of Multiversus still has those issues. I'm still enjoying it right now and I'm not afraid to say that MVS is one of my favorite fighting games
So agree that it’s way too hard to unlock characters. They’re way too stingy with the currency that I’ve only been able to unlock one additional character despite having played a few hours a day since release
@@j0eyhz620you can’t just use that argument if tons of gameplay is locked behind currency or grinding for insane amounts of time. Fortnite is free to play but everything essential to the game is available outside of cosmetics. If you didn’t play the beta, you can basically get 1 character then have to grind for months if you don’t spend money.
Yea characters cost 3k fight currency, then you do rift missions that give you literally 10 currency, fucking 10. If you complete an entire rift you could get up to maybe 150 and that’s gonna take an hour or 2 of your time. After that you can’t even do many rifts anyway. Battle pass is gonna take months because of how slow the progression is even though there are slightly better rewards.
A lot of the issues for me are that stuff just became objectively worse between the open beta and the full release. Input buffer(i have a theory for why they did this but still), endgame stats, leaderboard, testing/using all characters locally, and character colors.
I'm shocked at how infrequent the input buffer issue is brought up. I can deal with the game being slower, but it also feels clunky, which I think just isn't very fun to work around.
The fact I can’t watch 4 bots duke it out is crazy. One human has to be playing for some dumb odd reason in local play and custom games. We don’t even have FFA online
Yeah idk the homepage feel more easy for me and wheres “ the lab” option😢, now the home page is same like battle royal game, idk the full release on felt pretty cheap looking
i’m just confused on why they got rid of the ko and damage screen, the top leaderboard screen so i you can see where you rank, and other small features like that
I like the game. It has room for improvement, the combat feels great, I like the meter limiting dodge spam. Game is a bit predatory on micro-transactions and could do with a bit more grindable stuff from just playing fights, but overall combat feels really great.
A few things I want to add to this The rift minigame is pretty terrible 2v2 needs to allow for clinch co-op The cosmetic requirements for rift missions are a terrible idea Could use some bug fixes I’ve seen both involve models and characters getting locked into smear frames and can’t do anything
@@jmurray1110 needing the graphic t bugs me to no end that I feel I HAVE to spend my fighter currency on Velma. That's assuming those graphic nodes aren't also asking for non velma characters to get more stars... extremely predatory corpo microtransactions.
Ive noticed such a hostility when it comes to platform fighters, which gets worse if it isnt smash bros almost like these expectations are set above a standard that every game must follow
I have noticed this too. I don’t typically like boiling down entire community opinions like that but I thinks it’s clearly observable right now. Between Melee’s movement and tech depth being so beloved and Ultimate being packed to the brim with content and 90 characters, I don’t think either side of the community will ever really be satisfied with other platform fighters to the fullest. Thats why Rivals was smart enough to carve out their own niche. I hope MVS is smart enough to do the same while still listening to important feedback, because tbh I feel like trying to appease the “smash community” is a non-starter right now.
Multiverses literally got worse ppl get disconnected mid game then u have trash hitboxes can’t practice with locked characters and they removed attack decay for no reason tired of watching shaggy mains spam the same kick over and over
@@piplonf8591the first thing I completely understand but the second complaint just sounds like your hate getting your butt kicked because you’re losing
The skins I bought in the beta are gone. At this point they got it. Not even gonna try and get that sorted out. Edit: it’s been almost two weeks now. Sony said they couldn’t help. Pfg never got back to me. I think they robbed me lmfao
Remember that they moved the game to a whole new engine, so missing features aren't things they took out, they just didn't put back in for some reason. Could be time, not thinking it's that important, or just forgetting
MVS is genuinely fun but that and goodwill from the beta are the only things keeping it in good graces right now. This release is objectively backwards from the beta from the UI, leaderboards, stats tracked, mastery rewards, monetization etc. I feel you on wanting to just enjoy the game but in a year following the disastrous flop that was Suicide Squad it’s REALLY hard to not feel like MultiVersus isn’t here to immediately foot the 200 million dollar bill for Warner Bros.
I never comment on things, however I think the game feels pretty good. One thing I didn’t like about MVS beta was everyone just dodge jumping everywhere with invincibility. I love the new meter system and how it demands people to pay attention to what happening rather than just spamming your best attacks. Now I will say the speed was jolting to me when I first launched and it took me a day to adjust and I play 200 hours of the beta.
I feel like the dodging was necessary since there are so many bullshit moves like Bugs rocket/safe, Shaggy side b, Velma speech bubbles, etc. With the movement nerfed you can play Banana Guard and spam side b to win tournaments
Ive been playing the game and I found myself liking it more than the beta! It feels less reliant on spamming dodges and making smarter choices. Game is also better to spectate for 2v2. There totally are things to critique the game on like features, bugs and progression. The gameplay is sick and I hope PFG gives people time to get used to the changes before they make it like beta again.
Apparently saying “Yes this game has problems that I hope get resolved, but I still enjoy my time with the game” makes you a “paid shill” or “apologist”.
@@lihzzahrdspeed6631 1000%! Ive voiced my concerns and hope that it gets updated to be better. Meanwhile, others are already saying the games dead when it hasn’t even been a week.
The Beyblade community was the same way. Always wanting to get negative. Now it died out. I'm saying this as a Beytuber with almost 12k subs on another account. People just wanted me to hate hate hate but I didn't. I just wanted to play with toys.
You can't play MultiVersus with keyboard only. Inputting a neutral special sometimes results in a bug where the dodge button ("L" on the keyboard), once pressed, not only does a different move/attack but also makes your character being controlled by a bot so you got no control over your character anymore. In this case so severe, your character just jumps off the map because of this bug. It makes the game literally unplayable for keyboard players at this point. Either you stop using neutral attacks or dodge with "shift" or "middle mouse click" which obviously shouldn't be a solution. (also not sure if this would prevent the bug from happening, so, idk.) I created a new Profile in my keyboard software (Wootility) to rebind my keyboard inputs into controller ones so I can play the game without issues. Yes I reinstalled the game. I even reset my whole pc. I tried changing some keybindings. Friends of mine experience the same "bot taking over your controls, dodge not working" bug as well. Please fix! :c
Dude, I can't even express how much I appreciate what you had to say. I went on Reddit and Twitter to see if everyone else was enjoying the game as much as I was, and I was met with such an overwhelming force of negativity that it killed my excitement a little bit. I was ecstatic for the future of the game, but with the general reaction I've seen, it seems like the playerbase is going to die out quicker than the Beta did. I fully acknowledge the game has its issues, but what game doesn't? And what happened to having a bit of patience? I'm confident that the devs are trying their absolute best, why not give it a few weeks to allow them to get settled in and fix some of the more prominent issues? All in all, I'm loving the game. The leaked characters (especially *him*) have me so hyped for the future, and I am glad to see someone else willing to speak out and say they're actually enjoying the game, too!
Look at what the devs promised in Season 2, and how they botched the trajectory of this game completely. It's no wonder people are very disappointed with all the changes, when it's an inferior version of a Beta. There is NO excuse for that. Sorry that people were genuinely let down in more ways than they imagined.
@@grdfhrghrggrtwqqu Tony addressed why the game fell off so hard in a recent interview, the main reason being that their team was just too small to handle the release schedule they were trying to maintain. As far as the changes, I think that *most* of the changes are actually great. The speed is too slow, but it's far better than the pure chaos that the beta was. And in regards to this being an "inferior" version of the beta, that is completely your opinion. I personally am having a great time, as much or even more than I did in the beta. I hate that people are let down, but I honestly think that if we just give the devs a little time, they will fix most of what people are unhappy with. Just my opinion, but going off of Tony and the team's constant presence on Twitter trying to help out any folks who are running into bugs, I do believe they are listening and care about what we all think.
would like to see some changes to how the game rewards you. The rift mode is very tedious and rewards you with very little (right now after the easy mode just a node in the Agent Smith roadmap if you complete an entire level's difficulty), I'm hoping for there to be more character gems you can get as you ramp up the difficulty. I don't like that there are those button-gems that are exclusive to singleplayer yet can still be bought/upgraded for real money, it's basically like having some spirits in Smash Ult. that can be upgraded with real money. Would also like the training mode to work a bit better (like in the beta), right now it feels clunky when you want to change settings. I like that you can change characters right there, but even the smallest changes requires the stage to reload, sometimes with weird inconsistencies. In the same vein, would like to try out characters even just for a bit, it was a great feature in the beta that I'd like to see again, but I guess since it was a beta they might have just had it for beta sake. The Item Shop is the biggest blunder though for me, I don't like their pathetic daily deals section for things I already have unlocked from the beta, at least make them things I might actually want to buy like character discounts or skin discounts. The bundles feel overpriced, but when stacking it up against games like fortnite it's pretty comparable. There are discounts if you have stuff in the bundles, but I can't tell if that works out like a better deal or not. I like that I can buy any skin when I want, but you can't see that in the shop, just in the fighter select screen. New fighters are priced weird too, Joker is double everyone else in fighter points but with gems it's only 250 more, incentivizing using real money on him. Despite all of this AND the unmentioned connectivity issues I've experienced, I'm having tons of fun playing this game again. I feel like it's more fun than the beta was, though I only played the beta for about 2 months before falling behind on everything and dropping the game for others. I want to continue following the game, but that depends on how the team goes about updating and adding more to the game.
Hey Void! Glad you are enjoying the game. In the hbox video he assumed you couldn’t speak truth on the game because of a contract. He was corrected in the video.
Void, I appreciate you man. I really like the game too! And I'm really grateful to you for being honest. I'm hyped for the future of the game, and hope to see you continue to enjoy it dude.
I’m on ps5, for me 1v1 is pretty solid. But 2v2 and rifts with my friend is pretty much unplayable. Nearly every game desynchs or sometimes my game or his game (he plays on series x) will crash.
My problem was that short hops are gone the camera so zoomed in too much and some rework moves got changed like Velma yelling into the mic from full screen and her normals seemd slow.
idk i feel like "room to improve" is a bit of an understatement, theres so much about this game rn thats not only worse then the beta but are just super scummy and anti consumer, not being able test characters in training mode is super scummy in every way possible and it feels way harder to actually earn characters without paying up, this on top of the game functioning significantly worse then it did in the beta and being unplayable on xbox, i understand you wanna be positive but there's so much wrong with the state of the game that goes beyond a rough launch i feel like your under selling it
the game might be very grindy, however so might be other games i will probably take league as an example to multiversus. not only is it a grind to unlock characters in league but u also can pay up for characters in the game so i dont get ur point about the "grindy" characters
I’ve been playing with my cousin almost the entire year before release, and it was so nice and fun to be able to play everyone. Now we have to unlock characters to use them in local? I don’t think player first games realizes that was a stupid mistake, I learned about each character and who I wanted to unlock through the lab gameplay. Idk how but they made the game worse…
I feel you on what you said on the intro. I get criticizing the game but sometimes it feels like people aren't saying bad things about the game because they want it to improve but instead because they want to hate on it and make others agree that it is bad
People are upset for good reason. No matter what way people phrase it, this is not the same game we played in beta and spent money on and for alot of us it just sucks.
I really enjoy the game. The speed is not a problem for me at all, I think the input delay is more of a problem. The speed in which your attacks come out is noticeable, but the actual speed that a character moves is completely fine and I think people are getting them mixed up I also do agree that the fighter currency earned from PVP should be higher, but I think the reason it’s low is that so people try the PVE mode, which is loaded with it. It’s a fun mode and I feel people aren’t giving it a fair shot
The worst part is I had over 8,000 gold. Could have spent to get 2-4 fighters. They lied & said everything will carry over. They stole it all from me & gave me a stupid player card for it.🤬
My main disappointment is how weak the combo game is now. I'm totally fine with the game speed being lowered, but the fact that we went from 8+ moves in an optimal combo to 3-4 tops feels pretty bad.
I spent $10 to get the Battle Pass the day the game came out so that I could play with Jason Voorhees and grind up towards the Uber Jason skin. Last night, I finished all my weekly and daily missions, and afterwards I literally could not gain any more experience to progress in the Battle Pass. The game does not just give Battle Pass experience for playing it!
I don't think its too slow at all. Feels way better than how it was before. My biggest dislike is that even when I turn character outlines off, the enemy still has a red hue over the entire character. It's like I'm fighting a red blob
not a defense of removed features but an explanation. the game was rebuilt in unreal 5. that means alot had to be re-added and ported over. probably why the menu is different and imo worse. the leaderboards, and the removal of locked characters not being unlocked in the lab thing. its due to this rebuild of the engine change. and when you have to rebuild everything it can very much slip up. especially smaller things. im enjoying multiversus but hope they fix some stuff. i think the speed is fine its just that moves feel sticky and i hate how it lines up your inputs sometimes. but i hope for improvement!
I don't understand why some people have this and others don't. I play at least 2 hours of PVP a day and I've only been kicked from one match. I hope your issues get resolved.
You should be able to buy fighter currency and it should be dirt cheap. Either that or it should be able to be earned much faster. Honestly, that is my only problem with the monetization structure.
I definitely understand how your feeling, this community feeling was very apparent in Brawlhalla where people loved to complain about BMG yet would still continue playing because they like they game. I understand being passionate but I also think there should be positivity and positive reinforcement
2:39 Absolutely! This doesn't only happen with platform fighters but in all gaming. There's this tendency for people to judge/speak about things that they've never played or cared from the start and is getting annoying. So much unwanted negativity everywhere that maybe for you or for me wont matter in the longrun but there is people out there that feel scared to say they like or enjoy a game because there's a "negative" buzz around it and that buzz is mostly BS. I always say "Too many people judge, too little people play". It happened to me with the recent Hellblade 2 that i adore and is now happening with Multiversus which i'm having a blast.
Mvs is pretty much unplayable for xbox. Tons of stuttering, frames dropping and disconnects online. Even playing solo missions is rough. Hope the devs patch it soon
Glad someone pointed this out. Especially that one stupid moving lab map that just lags the whole game for everyone and drops the frames. The game is wayy worse than it was in the beta even with the trash netcode
Appreciate your authenticity!! Stay true to you! Negative click baiting may get engagement fast but it doesn't create longevity nor builds a loyal community. Keep doing you!! 🙌🏾
6000 for joker is actually a joke in street fighter 6 they have a currency called rental tickets where you can use thoes to try out characters they let you hop in training with them And casual mode for a whole hour
NASB1 was just ridiculously mashy. Every character was short-hop and spam one broken move (the last nairbender, mikey dair, etc) Multiversus is horribly slow and floaty. They're both on the extreme ends and bad because of it.
I kinda agree. But I do think Nasb 2 dying so soon when it was a better game then the first is sad to see. Hopefully it at least sold well so third time can maybe be the charm
@@SionReaver I dont think theres gonna be a 3rd time, the problem was after nasb1 and the issues on launch its name was just dragged through the mud and there simply just no one talking about the game so no new people are gonna play it. The entire game series is just not gonna work out

I hope the devs are smart and ignore the sweaty players and make the game better for casuals. A big casual player base can create a new competitive scene eventually instead of trying to please the competitive scene that already exists for platform fighters. Plus, this business model they are going for won't work with a small sweaty player base at all, they really need tons of casuals to support the game. Trying to please everyone will kill the game again.
@@EliteGrimm Exactly, but Tony feels a bit shaky. I hope they don't rush some features for the competitive scene like end game stats. That feature is totally non-casual, it is stuff that casuals hate, they don't want to be blamed for losses and feel like crap after matches with 0 damage. The end game stats should be visible only on ranked matches, not on casuals.
Speed the game up like 20% and it’s fine. But the problem is there are tons of other issues. It’s got SO many issues beyond just the speed. VOID, this is specifically to you. The issue isn’t that it’s not okay to talk about liking the game, but this shit is gonna die if they DONT fix the issues. Thats the problem. And I love this game so it would suck for it to die.
Ive been playing since day one of the beta and Im enjoying the new game a ton but I understand why people would be upset and I dont like why theres no damage count and rank with character
This game is AMAZING! Duos gives the vibe of if one person played Nana and another played Popo. Later on in time, the coop combos are gonna be unREAL! P.S. people just want something to whine about. They dont remember the days you had to go to someone's house to have someone to play against. That was TRULY unfortunate
I'm very excited to try the game once they reintroduce the buffer option, which they said the removal of it was accidental. I LOVE multiversus, and I want desperately for it to stick around
If it’s too fast paced people will complain because they can’t compete with better players. If it’s too slow people will complain because newer players have an easier time fighting them. You can’t win
You are my favorite multiversus content creator and player and I love hearing your opinions and you takes on the game. I truly do wish people would give this game more of a chance it just seems like everyone is shitting on it so fast and they haven’t played it and figured anything out yet
I really love this damn game, and seeing this amount of negativity really damn hurt me. Was speed actually that important? The slower speed feels so much better.
@@300apes I can understand why people are upset about the other stuff, but I don’t understand the anger over speed. Beta was just a large dodge and speed fest that made combat pretty frustrating
Fast paced combat was an appealing concept to a lot of people especially in comp on beta. Imagine how many people would stop playing call of duty if it was literally 3x slow speed. The games the same, just a lot mechanics and mind games go out the window.
@@tylersweeney9749 it definitely wasn’t that big of a slowdown. But idk if you watch mfs tournaments but the dodge spam was insane. One thing i want for this game is a stock mode for FFA/2vs2 it kinda sucks that its a score system for that mode in custom rooms where whoever gets that amount of points when which makes games go by so quick
Honestly gameplay aside, my main gripe with this game is that it's a live service game with hundreds of micro transactions. We love to complain about any other game that does stuff like this like redfall or Kill the Justice League, but for some reason it's okay when multiversus does it. I understand it's free to play, but if all of this is at the cost of it being free, I'd rather the game just be 20-40 dollars or something.
I find that is great to hear you put your foot down and be transparent on what you are feeling about the game. I love MVS, and i really want the game to succeed, but people shouldn't feel attacked because of this, nor should MVS lovers attack you because you don't stay. If the game doesn't improve, is totally understandable if you don't feel like playing it anymore, but for the mean time, at least lets have some fun and leave the devs to cook, if they do of course. And lets hope they do.
The game speed isn’t as bad as people are making it seem there are some characters that are harder to use than other but they just want to complain I’m gonna play regardless just cause I love Warner brother studios properties
unlock characters on local play, speed up the game a bit, add end-of-game stats back, bring back character leaderboard rankings... lots of small stuff that they could pull back from the beta without completely reversing direction that'd make this game infinitely better.
I think he's mainly saying he feels ostracized for enjoying the game while everyone and their mother is criticizing and hating it. Tbh pfg did it to themselves
The fact this community is nit picking a FREE game to this degree is telling to the quality of those individuals. AAA game companies that demand a box price and a monthly service fee. Hey I'm right there with you. Or the games thst let you pay to rent the game but never own. Multiversus as it is now. Is a GOOD GAME. appreciate the free good game.
Nah, what hbox said is that hes not sure you and nakat are able to voice your actual opinions because of how closely invovled youve been with the studio. Which, hes not wrong, and most of the time creators are bound to some sort of contract where they can only say certain things. Heck, not that long ago marvel rivals studio had a written agreement saying that anyone who played the alpha couldnt say or imply anything negative about it. So i dont think its worth getting worked up over that.
Void just doesnt like being negative or say bad things about games/characters or balance but that doesnt mean the problems dont exist we should ignore them. If you want the game to last these issues must be addressed or the game will die
I'm convinced that the real reason people are complaining about Multiversus' speed is because they have nothing better to do. It's a lot of fun as it is (although I've never been a huge fan of free-to-play-with-in-game-purchases games) and if people are gonna keep complaining about it, they can just quit playing. I never played Beta, so maybe I'm wrong, but I still think people need to stop complaining about it.
So the game is noticeably slower when compared with the beta. The game isn't inherently 'slow' now, just slower. The game is fine as it is and it just will take time to adjust to, including the Dodge meter which slows down movement as well, since Dodge jumping was a standard in the beta.
No the game is just slower, hitstop is insanely high where, especially in 2s, you get git and it feels like your charachter is frozen for over a second. Movement feels choppy and the game being slow wouldnt that big of an issue if charachters werent so fucking floaty
Nothing better to do? Sure we do! It’s called playing a better game than this crap! Rather go back to NASB2 then play this turtle game. The beta was ALREADY slow to begin with and they make it even slower? You realize it’s slower than smash brawl right? Which is mind boggling ….. it’s boring. You get rewarded for having slow reaction time. Especially characters like Jason and iron giant. You can see their moves coming a mile away and easily dodge them or beat them with your faster frame moves…. That’s not balanced
@@Hinokami777 I dropped it after like an hour. Rivals of Aether 2 comes out this year and that developer actually cares about making a good platform fighter, not just a smash clone.
Love MVS but I'm curious as to some of the decisions made during development.. • The UE4 to UE5 change in order to accommodate Netcode? • UE4 to UE5 change for graphically fidelity? • What's done is done, just thinking that maybe if PFG stuck to UE4 we would have more progress into MVS' development instead of rebuilding it on UE5..
The currency model, menus, and lack of communication about most features being gone didn't really set this game up for success. I like the gameplay, just everything else about the game got worse for no good reason. We had a good menu, good training mode, good ways to earn characters and cosmetics. Now, its fucking utter shit, and you can't tell me they didn't know what people liked. Don't care if it was WB exec's making the decision or not, it feels like a mobile game with how convoluted the menus are and how bad earning characters is.
I mean yeah I enjoy it. But it’s only a matter of time before our worst fear comes and they shut it down for another couple months then Indefinitely because of the backlash. It’s so fucked because they just need time that’s all they need but people don’t want to give it to them
I agree void I absolutely love the game now rewards smart play I can understand some ppl not liking that some features were taken out but I honestly love the game now
Honestly I think Multiversus has the most toxic casual player base I've ever seen. They're constantly crying like children over the dumbest stuff and confidentiality talking about stuff they have no idea about. The subreddit is a cesspool
Look at Season 2. The devs shot themselves in the foot on communication front big time, and let a lot of people down. People aren't outraged for no reason or because they want to, but because they have no choice since they essentially have to. The Devs will have to listen or find out if their game holds water the hard way. It doesn't get any more simple than that.
Nothing is immune from criticize. Acting like a million dollar company's heavily monetized live service game can do no wrong and has no flaws does nothing to inprove the very flawed game.
icl i had the same opinion about the speed but once you start playing and get used to it it feels normal and it feels like if the game were to speed up it would feel too fast
LOVE your positive attitude. Far too many people feel the need to hate anything if it's not perfect. Like, if someone gives me a cookie and I wanted a cake, I'm not gonna be angry it's not a cake, cause I still like cookies. It's perfectly fine for a game to be fun and just like... kinda good. Not EVERYTHING has to be Dark Souls level obsession.
What I think they should do is release an “all fighters pack” similar to what Bh does. Pay one set price (WB will probably make it expensive) to get all the characters and future characters. Sure we can grind but it’s really tedious to do so.
I love the game right now. I think the camera should back up a little bit. I love the speed! I definitely do miss the damage and KO’s on the end screen. It’s honestly so cool
@@ixojoh1445imo unlocking characters takes way too long. you really can only unlock them after every 5 levels. once you get to 15 it takes like an hour to get to 16, now add that to 20. There needs to be way more ways unlocking characters than non stop grinding online
It’s fun if you turn your brain off and play your dailies and laugh at the cartoon characters beating the life out of each other. I honestly am a lot more into this than I thought I would be after the beta. It feels a lot better to play than it looks. The main issues I have are just that its maybe a bit too grindy and of course the connection issues rn, but those may end up being changed down the line.
My only issue is manly the offline mode where the characters aren't unlocked, which sucks. Speed is slow, but i dont mind it that much. Overall, I really like the game.

Not having unlocked characters on local play is going to fuck local tournaments.
I hate that I can’t fuck around with characters with my friends, I hate that I have to grind just to have fun with friends
Training was one thing but local is insane
You can do both of those. Go into training and you can use any character you want. And local play is also there.

As someone who plays with siblings. We were all disappointed that we could not use the new characters and the characters we didn’t already have unlocked.
Regardless of the speed changes (which I actually like):
Why are post-game stats gone? Why can’t I edit my controls when in the lab?
Why can’t people try characters before they buy them?
Why no ranked or roadmap for future ranked?
Why is the UI clunky and often laggy?
Those are just the ones off the top of my head. Idek how it’s possible to spend a year and remove features like that, which everyone enjoyed.
@@Tiphou it was a little to hectic before it didn't reward playing smart and making right choices.

Being able to use all the characters in training mode and also having some sort of character trial token like in SF6 is definitely a must have
A lot of the issues for me are that stuff just became objectively worse between the open beta and the full release.

I do want to add I think not getting exp for playing is very odd, and makes me not want to play along with not having ranked or a leaderboard.
@valicass they already said the no exp is a bug

You can't play MultiVersus with keyboard only. Inputting a neutral special sometimes results in a bug where the dodge button ("L" on the keyboard), once pressed, not only does a different move/attack but also makes your character being controlled by a bot so you got no control over your character anymore. In this case so severe, your character just jumps off the map because of this bug. It makes the game literally unplayable for keyboard players at this point. Either you stop using neutral attacks or dodge with "shift" or "middle mouse click" which obviously shouldn't be a solution. (also not sure if this would prevent the bug from happening, so, idk.)
I created a new Profile in my keyboard software (Wootility) to rebind my keyboard inputs into controller ones so I can play the game without issues.

You can't ask for patience when the game was down for a year and it came back worse than before
The game is so much less fun than the beta for me. I bleed for that shit. This is too slow man can’t get into it as much
would like to see some changes to how the game rewards you.
He was corrected in the video.

the game might be very grindy, however so might be other games i will probably take league as an example to multiversus. not only is it a grind to unlock characters in league but u also can pay up for characters in the game so i dont get ur point about the "grindy" characters
Yeah I can kinda agree I am a bit disappointed we can’t just grind pvp for fighter currency like we could with gold in the beta.
The speed in which your attacks come out is noticeable, but the actual speed that a character moves is completely fine and I think people are getting them mixed up
I also do agree that the fighter currency earned from PVP should be higher, but I think the reason it’s low is that so people try the PVE mode, which is loaded with it. It’s a fun mode and I feel people aren’t giving it a fair shot
The game feels good. I wouldn't mind if they sped it up a little. I want a block mechanic/button and grabs like smash.
There is a block mechanic, and there's at least one character that can grab
The characters have moves that grabs and the game has always focused on dodging rather than blocking

I understand being passionate but I also think there should be positivity and positive reinforcement

P.S. people just want something to whine about. They dont remember the days you had to go to someone's house to have someone to play against. That was TRULY unfortunate
They need to add rank, it doesn’t matter how good the game is with no rank it will die
What's the point in adding ranked if you can't even see the stats at the end of a match?
Not yet there are tons of people still lagging and DCing, if they add ranked that will make them even more mad when they DC and lose
You can see the ranked option when clicking what game mode to play. It's dark but it's coming.
They literally had an ENTIRE YEAR to fix this mess. There's no excuse AT ALL.
I really love this damn game, and seeing this amount of negativity really damn hurt me. Was speed actually that important? The slower speed feels so much better.
Theres a lot more problems than the speed😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@300apes I can understand why people are upset about the other stuff, but I don’t understand the anger over speed. Beta was just a large dodge and speed fest that made combat pretty frustrating
Fast paced combat was an appealing concept to a lot of people especially in comp on beta. Imagine how many people would stop playing call of duty if it was literally 3x slow speed. The games the same, just a lot mechanics and mind games go out the window.
@@tylersweeney9749 it definitely wasn’t that big of a slowdown. But idk if you watch mfs tournaments but the dodge spam was insane. Maybe they can revert it to make everyone happy but it just doesn’t look good when watching your or other people gameplay back. It’s looks so spammy and mashy vs actual skill
I understand it's free to play, but if all of this is at the cost of it being free, I'd rather the game just be 20-40 dollars or something.
where's the gacha?
Bruh skins do not matter at all.
If this wasn't free to play it would be dead in a week like NASB2
Literally everything is unlockable. You don’t have to buy anything and you can still access every character.
tf are u on abt
And I’m not sayin there isn’t issues but people are blowing it way out of proportion
unlock characters on local play, speed up the game a bit, add end-of-game stats back, bring back character leaderboard rankings... lots of small stuff that they could pull back from the beta without completely reversing direction that'd make this game infinitely better.
I loved nasb1 & I also loved multiverse beta
being able to see more detailed stats in the career tab would be great as well as show me after match damage
I don't think it's a matter of hating a game yall just give games too much grace

Im just happy theyre addressing almost all the issues people are having and saying they're working on it
Nah, what hbox said is that hes not sure you and nakat are able to voice your actual opinions because of how closely invovled youve been with the studio.
@@Hinokami777 Womp Womp.
I'm having fun with the game and that's all that matters.
I mean yeah I enjoy it. But it’s only a matter of time before our worst fear comes and they shut it down for another couple months then Indefinitely because of the backlash. It’s so fucked because they just need time that’s all they need but people don’t want to give it to them
Hbox did say that but that happens to people in gaming
It doesn't get any more simple than that.
have u seen smash? lol
Dude the game just came out, why are you saying "most toxic casual player base I've ever seen".
You are aware this game had an open beta yes? Lol@@ewfkjwbehjfbewkhfgwehjyf632
There is an in-between between the speed of NASB1 and MultiVersus. It's called NASB2.
Duddee that game is quite literally underrated. Aside from the fact they are grtting more DLC, I need there to be more ATLA characters
@@trentoliver5357more ATLA characters? Lol, by the end of the upcoming Dlc, there would be 5 ATLA characters, same amount as Spongebob characters
I feel like a lot of people don't like playing platform fighters in a way that isn't like smash.
What I think they should do is release an “all fighters pack” similar to what Bh does. Pay one set price (WB will probably make it expensive) to get all the characters and future characters. Sure we can grind but it’s really tedious to do so.
Anything the “Worlds Greatest Gamer” says I’m with idc. No one else has that title so no one else’s opinion would matter
That's pretty sad

I love the game right now. I think the camera should back up a little bit. I love the speed!
I definitely do miss the damage and KO’s on the end screen. It’s honestly so cool
yeah game is grindy but it's a bit too much.
yet the game itself isn’t enough, i deleted the game til it’s fixed
@@thruthevoidwhat needs to be fixed if you don’t mind asking
@@ixojoh1445imo unlocking characters takes way too long. you really can only unlock them after every 5 levels. once you get to 15 it takes like an hour to get to 16, now add that to 20. There needs to be way more ways unlocking characters than non stop grinding online

It’s fun if you turn your brain off and play your dailies and laugh at the cartoon characters beating the life out of each other. If you take it any more seriously than that, yeah it’s stupid and mashy. I could care less about playing this in any competitive sense, though, so I’m good. Also it was super uncool of Hbox to put words in your mouth like that
No ones talking about local all the characters are locked whilst in the open beta it was free this is a shame I was so happy fir multuversus be somehow they got worse
8:48 this is true. And it was hilarious. It was a great day when they brought it back
I honestly am a lot more into this than I thought I would be after the beta. It feels a lot better to play than it looks. The main issues I have are just that its maybe a bit too grindy and of course the connection issues rn, but those may end up being changed down the line.
Why no damage after or ring outs after game? Where are the leaderboards?????
My only issue is manly the offline mode where the characters aren't unlocked, which sucks. Speed is slow, but i dont mind it that much. Overall, I really like the game.
1:58 THIS! CANT VOID JUST LIKE A GAME FOR JUST FOR THE SAKE OF LIKING THE GAME?! I even commented on this on his vid that you didnt have early access like the other people like NAKAT and you those were your genuine thoughts
I think the game has a lot of potential and from what I have seen all the issues can be fixed, no live service game releases without any issues but it's up to player first to solve the problem ASAP
Yea, there are issues, but it can always be fixed with time, the devs already stated they are changing things and looking at speed changes.
