    I agree that since AJ is using this sad story to get viewers, they at least could pay his debt and buy the village a new car.

      براہمداغ A fundraiser? So Al Jazeera didn't buy the guy a new car. They profited from his story then get someone else to help them. Typical.

      Short answer: Yes.
      Long answer: Yes. But do we expect TV channels to put light on issue and move to the next issue that needs spotlight.
      Or pay money to everyone "whose misery they exploit"?
      Are news organizations also supposed to be dedicated charities, or just news organizations?

    • @QarthCEO
      @QarthCEO 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      براہمداغ Al Jazeera made a documentary exploiting this guy's misery for their profit. The right thing to do is share that profit with him. That is what we should expect.

    It's like this everywhere in the middle east, people come from all over east asia to get jobs there and they don't get payed shit for it even though they're the ones who are working the hardest while the citizens of those countries sit on their asses all day and get the best benefits.

    • @samerkhatib4089
      @samerkhatib4089 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      But then again nobody's forcing them to work in those countries, they do it willingly.

    • @chroniclesofmanliness8697
      @chroniclesofmanliness8697 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Isn't it the same everywhere? with very few exceptions...

      +Samer Khatib the ones who hire them bring them over based on totally different stories and these poor people dont know how to deal with such fraudsters, neither do dubai authorities take action and are secretly promoting such acts.

    • @samerkhatib4089
      @samerkhatib4089 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +ali malik, Their own governments should warn them about the dangers of working in those countries.

      Not all of the citizens sit on their asses all day. Most of the population have a day job and go to work, just like anybody else in any other country, it's just those who are part of the royal family or are high up in Dubai don't need to work like the civilians do

      Danger Guy I guess you haven't kept up to date on the horrible slave conditions that foreign laborers face in Dubai. He didn't leave after 4 months just because he missed his Mom, guy.

      do you know that over 100 million FOREFING workers have been to the gulf counitries to work since the 1960s from all over the world and collectively have made trillions of dollars !? so much for slaves huh 😞

    • @mazenal4787
      @mazenal4787 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      sylvie evin some don't but many others do, if you're from the US or EU and your local 7/11 or gas station owner is from South West or east Asia then he's highly likely have made his way through working in the gulf counitries first before migration to better opportunites and some have bulit empires in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh...and started working as Manuel labor in Saudi or Qatar , I'm not saying it's all roses there but paint it as slavery and what not is fucking ridiculous to say the least , BTW there are 2m people who live in Saudi alone who were born there and many are thrid generation , they could get more rights but they have thier options , Saudi is the fourth country for people to migration of worker in the world with people sending over 50 billions dollars yearly to thier home countries and counting the undercover business which some sources put it at 100-150 billions. Have u heard of slaves sending billions dollars to thier family ? Don't think so .

    This documentary about this gentleman is old and I've watched it already. AJ post something original not cuts of an already uploaded documentary. He didn't go home to pay of his debt the trust of the matter is he got home sick and returned with no money at all that's why he get ashamed and was looked down upon in his village. He doesn't even live in his village anymore but instead works 800 miles away to pay off his debt. He didn't know what he was getting himself into. Give the full details next time posting smh
