Mohak, you don't know how much this video made my day. I have been insecure for most of my life, not due to height, but due to my looks, color, voice and physique. I used to really think that there was something wrong with me and lost the motivation to do anything - affecting my education and work. But once I realized that these are all societal norms and constructs, I started caring less about societal acceptance and that eventually built my confidence back. Although I still feel this alienation at times, I am in a much better shape now. I see that society has started to change, it might take some time though. And I hope your video reaches everyone so that people like me don't feel like we are some sort of aberrations and the so called normal people get educated
@@adityakatti6478 Why do you think it's a waste? I'm following his content for the last 5 years for free.. what's wrong in giving something in return, I felt he's doing a great job by picking topics beyond traditional politics and mainstream issues, he's actually putting some effort to educate people.
U r probably stuck on low quality entertainment side of TH-cam.. there thousands of not lakhs of youtubers have made documentaries higher quality than this in similar and many other different topics…
As a short man, my request to everyone is to NOT blame those who opt for this surgery have experienced height related disadvantages first hand. lt's literal social exclusion. Don't blame the victims, it's the society that needs to be held accountable. What boils my blood is seeing how half of the "body positivity" movement is about obesity and skin issues - both of which that can be changed, however with shortness, it is completely genetic yet shortness is looked down upon the most.
You are behaving hypocritically. I agree short leko shouldn't be judge but you want people to accept you yet you judge them for their appearance. Some forms of skin issues cannot be altered. I think that people shouldn't comment on things that cannot be fixed within five seconds.
I like how you're looking at skin issues and obesity but according to you this is important. Many times obesity is hormonal and so it's skin issues. Stop looking at some body shaking like its nothing and then you're taking about change in mentality. Stop joking
As a 6’3 guy I’ve never mocked anyone for height cause I can see that people generally get complex standing near me cause they look even shorter, but I generally change the topic and make them feel confident by complimenting their confidence or the way they portray themselves..
As a 6ft man, I honestly feel blessed It is true that I was born in Spain and lived in europe my entire life. I live in the UK now, and a lot of young people are very tall and you can feel insecure even at my height over here but after seeing what short people go through I will always be thankful for my height. Especially since I am asian (pakistani) and very few asians are over 6ft so I was lucky. Short people are extremely discriminated against. We need to step up for them.
I generally hate mohak as he is BJP supporter but being short person of 5.3feet height thinking of surgery even before this video ...I literally cried watching this video...society will not change but how can I avoid being insecure? I can't ignore them, especially when getting rejected for marriage...but Thank u, now I know this has to be my last option or vanish from world. I hate myself not eating much during my puberty, now I am facing consequences.

Guys, I am a female married to a guy who is 5'3". I am taller than him, but believe me, I have never met a man as confident as he is in my entire life. When we were friends, he confidently told me that he would date and marry me. He wasn't my type at all initially, but he won me over with his confidence, charm, and ambition to achieve great things in life. He is an engineer, by the way. I can say he is more talented and confident than any 6-foot guy. I just want to say, don't lose hope or be sad about things you can't control. I used to feel insecure and scared, thinking people would judge him and us as a couple. But his positivity changed my perspective, and he taught me to see the world differently.
I am going to share this video on my story so that this can reach more and more ppl, cuz there are things that need to change in our society. Your hard work is appreciated. 👍
I'm 6.2 feet age 16 years. There are two people in our class who are around 5.1feet . After reading the comments i realised that we should really respect them and we should not do such things which make them insecure.
As a short height guy i am writing to short height people People often undergo surgery due to societal pressures-when people mock or laugh at them. However, this doesn't necessarily diminish self-confidence. I've seen many people shorter than me speak fluently in front of the whole school. It's not about height; it's about confidence. I know that appearance can contribute to confidence, but mental control is everything. You can still find a good partner around your height easily because boys aren't the only ones with short height; girls are too. Boys, stop being distracted by these things. Focus on your body, studies, and improving your life to become successful. Eventually, when you have enough money, these things will not matter. Keep going, boys!

im a 5'5'' girl and my bf is 5'7''. From a distance we both look the same height . we both wear same sized shoes . he is the cutest guy ive ever seen . i observe him getting insecure of his height and saw height surgery in his youtube history. it pains me to think that he feels this way about himself. i love how big he is and i feel we are perfect for each other .before meeting him i also used to think that i will marry a 6 ft tall guy bcz my brother is also 6 feet. but height has nothing to do with your character .

I feel this way as a woman, I hate being short so I completely 100% sympathize with guys who struggle with this as I imagine its even more difficult for men in terms of the insecurity and self talk, not to mention other people who comment such things.

Being a thirty-year-old man of 5.3 height, I used to feel like a failure. However, in the last two years, I've come to believe that it doesn't matter because life is about doing good deeds, helping others, and living with someone. Marriage isn't necessary; you can live alone, change the world by helping others, and find someone who is truly deserving of your friendship. Therefore, height has no bearing on whether someone makes fun of you or tries to make you feel humiliated. If you believe that these individuals are your friends or family, you are mistaken; they are not. Instead, live your life on your own terms, so put aside your concern for what other people think, and carry on with your convictions.
Still aise bht saari chize thi toh shyd aap kr skte the life me jo kam height ki wajah se nhi kar paaye don't you feel like this ? Kya aapki marriage hui hai ya yeh height ne wha bhi nuksan kraya ?
" Live your life in your own terms " - exactly! You don't need the validation from the society. We live only once and we shouldn't feel like a failure by this society. Happy life ahead!
thank you for making a video on short people like us . I tell you one thing i am literally between 3 to 4 feet tall I dont ride any type of two wheel or four wheel vehicle but i dont think bad about myself .I tought that if society cant accept me I would change the thinking of the society the way they think . by showing my success.
I am 5'2". I was the shortest person in my class, but was never mocked for height. Never in school, never in colleges, or even at work.. in US and Europe too!
There was a time when people used to joke on their friends' looks. Nick names like CHHOTU, TINGU,MOTU,KALLU were popular. Even a good-looking guy among average people, could be called CHIKNE. But those were never hurting as the love and emotional bonding were strong. But time changes. Now people don't joke on friends just casually. People try to hurt others, even unknown people, by commenting on their appearance and feel satisfied to be superior. This causes emotional breakdowns and mental health issues. So now we need to learn how to stop body shaming.
My brother is 4 9 still he is happy He is bank manager Got a beautiful wife And 2 wonderful kids In our family we never mocked him for his height He never felt less He was so over confident too sometimes I think secure family and supportive surroundings can make them feel they're the best I think all the blame for such horrible surgeries have to be taken by us as a society Plz provide a secure environment for your short frnd Never mock them Mohak ❤❤ thanks for bringing this

My height is 5.4 I was always a happy boy and never insecure or care about height. I used take lightly, never care those whom mock or fun about my height. It was like I was 17 or 18 when I proposed a girl and she behaved very rudely. She mock up saying shorty. That's for first time my height make me insecure. I was very disappointed and cry harder. I really cry a lot. I was literally crying and saying why god you make so small. After that covid hit and I started feeling lonely. I'm always a shy and introvert, used to love myself accompanies but that covid made me miserable. I started insecure about everything about my colours, weight, dresses, hair. At that time hair loss started and I become more insecure. I started made myself isolated from others and spend most of time on Internet. During covid my father retired from his job, he was a teacher. Post covid mid 2021 our college opened. I was depressed and I didn't want to go back college. It was December when our board exam happened. I was in panicked I had a vast syllabus and mentally I was so sick. I always a bright student. My middle class family have a lot of faith that I will be successful or something like that. I was confused and literally try to suicide. Later drop that and study hard for months and got the GPA5 which is like first class or best result in term of BD. After the board there was an admission war. My mother is a bed patient and can't walk without stretch. She always said that u have to be doctor and get rid me from this disease. I was still in the depression and there was a huge admission race. I got feared and there was a huge pressure from my family. I was afraid and exam was at door. I failed in medical admission exam. Whole family was in shock. Everyone started talking about my failure. My father and mother both was teacher and it was huge disappointment for them. Our neighbours and everyone make feel worthless. After that I have failed all my university admission exam. That time I try several time to suicide. I don't how I survived. Next year again appear in medical exam and top varsity exam and again failed. At that time I was completely broken mentally. At last score a mid mark on the gst which is a combine exam of 22 varsity, secure a seat in begum rokeya university Bd. I wasn't happy nor my family was. My friend with whom I used to discuss study are already on medical college or on top varsity, I only able to secure a seat after second time. I saw them uploading pictures or stories or dp kind those things that make me feel terrible. I was in much more depression. In of the admission exam there was a financial issue started. My families are live in village. Due to my exams they shifted to city and my father pension is limited. They used to pay for my tuition, home tutor as well ours other expenses. They was spending much more than my father pension. During my admission they didn't tell me about those expenses. They had took huge loan for my study. We were on debt. These got to know after exams finished. That make me more depressed fact that I haven't study properly and can't chance in any varsity. I became fat, ugly and depressed. I notice that I started to fear around people myself. At the time I have a problem on my ear and gradually it making me deaf. Not really deaf. Thats making me again insecure. It was in back 2023 mid. I discovered that I become so isolated that can't make a proper communication or introduction with other. It was Sept, 23 my varsity class open. At the first day I was really happy and exited. But there was a brutal ragging on vary first day. After that day I was in so much fear that want to quite the varsity. As per now our first semester done and the intensity of rage have decrease. For my previous insecure and depression I wasn't able to make a proper communication with ny new mates. And also for the ragging and my ear problem I fear to go classes. It was like Dec,23 a girl who are in hometown I felt for her. And proposed her. She was like 5.3 in height. She's like okay and wanted to meet with me. I feel insecure and don't know whether should meet or not. I think she will reject and mock on me. Anyway don't know why I'm blabbering this pardon me if it make u bore. I don't know why I feeling relieved. Now I'm investing time on myself. Focusing on my career, recently join gym and trying to get back on normal. Thanks to mohak sir whose videos inspiring me to do better in life. I'm still confused should I meet her?

Yaa..definitely you should go and meet her, No matter outcome is positive or negative...And don't forget to edit the comment and tell us what actually happened. Actually, when was reading your comment I was expecting that it will have a good ending but it was not like that. I'm 5'4". Currently 29yr old. Fortunately cleared NEET and completed MBBS. But wasted 4 years since then & I'm unable to secure a good enough rank in NEET PG to get any clinical branch for PG. Currently unemployed, because it's not possible to stick to a job & study alongside for PG entrance. I was always the shortest in my class, from 6th to 12th. Always stood ahead in the first place in school assemblies. Girls do consider height as a very important factor in guys. But as far as friendships are considered, it's your behaviour & nature that matters the most. I've grown watching Harry Potter & Lord of the rings. Harry & Frodo both are known to be shorter than their peers. Apart from being great stories, both these characters made me feel a little less uncomfortable with my height. Some of the greatest inspirations of my life are noticeably short heighted personalities. Be it Aamir Khan, Lionel Messi or Arvind Kejriwal. Heck, I used to dream about meeting Stephen Hawking some day, a paralysed guy who had the will to explore the world & discover the mysteries of physical nature of the universe. He wrote books & gave lectures all while being stuck in a chair. Yes, i still do get conscious when I'm in public. I know people are judging me & not taking me seriously because of my short height. But having done MBBS gets me a little more respect than I would've gotten otherwise. I like helping people and consider myself as a good listener. During my internship, I realised that there's more ways to help out people than one can imagine. Helping others out & being nice with them when the whole world is treating them inhumanly really means something. To both you and to them. It's important for you to be a good human being. Everything else is secondary. Don't try to impress tall people with shallow mindset, who looks down on you or makes you feel short by any means. They're really not worth your time or attention. If they were really good human beings, they wouldn't have cared so much about your height or made you feel insecure. Tall good-looking man & a gorgeous beautiful girls make a small fraction of population. Not all of them are doing good. People want to look like them but not everyone care about what they really are as a person. Their lives can become as shallow as their appearances. There's problems for everyone in this world, no matter how gifted they seem. Find a way to work with yours, learn new things, maybe a music instrument, make music or memes or write stories or silly poems, read books or draw cartoons, play with kids or help out your neighbour. Find a reason to live and if not for yourself, go out and be the voice of voiceless people, be there for someone who's lonely, be there for someone who needs help.
I can't imagine the pain men suffer due to their short height as a 4'10 girl i sometimes feel insecure about my height but still it is worse in men thankyou for talking about such topics hatts of to you❤
@@itsmegirish yes I would because it doesn't really matter because the thing that matters is his personality in terms of his behavior and not his physical appearance and also I am short so I am no one to judge a man based on his height .

It's important to remember that historical figures such as Napoleon, Genghis Khan, Julius Caesar, and Alexander the Great were notably shorter in stature, ranging from 5'4 to 5'6. This serves as a reminder that one's physical height does not determine their capability or greatness; rather, it is their character, determination, and leadership qualities that define their impact and legacy.
Correction* Average height in those days was much lower because of lack of nutrition. So 5'4-5'6 was actually not short. I don't remember exact sources but you can probably find it if you look for it, mohak also said about nutrition in video.
another point to note is that during those times, there was no internet and social media, so average people would not compare themselves with 1000s of other people. Social media has destroyed this society.
I'm quite short(4'11") compared to avg Indian females. I'm short because of both genetics and nutrition. However, reasons could never resolve my insecurities around it. The issue of height has been brewing inside me, starting from the last year of school to college. I have even commited some pretty morally questionable acts, that might have stem from my insecurities around height. Although, none of them added an inch to my height, some ground rules and acceptance have definitely added to my peace of mind about the fact of height. I am yet to fully become immune to my insecurities, but for the most part, I'm a fairly confident individual now. For people who have similar insecurity, please remember that most people are too busy looking at their own issues than judging you. Take your time to understand that. Also, people won't remember for how you looked, but they'll definitely remember for how you made them feel. Not to promote people pleasing, but simply if you can show them that you're a confident, calm individual who does not judge and is neither bothered about it, they'll remember that feeling of peace you offered them. Rest assured, none of us can have it all. So, let's try and focus on areas we actually have control over and enjoy doing so. One last point, if there's people around you who is mocking you for height, rather than it being an indication of your height, it is an indication of their immaturity that they still couldn't manage to move past someone's height in a sea of other issues to look at. Hope it helps ❤

@@annalesewinget6792 For men too, as long as you're fair looking and handsome, height doesn't even matter. Most Indian girls just want you to be taller than them or atleast the same height, especially if you meet the other criterias.

I really appreciate the fact that towards the end of this video you mentioned that this isn't just about men and their insecurities with height; instead it is actually about every human who is insecure about certain physical characteristics that are purely genetic and are unaffected by their actions. As a girl who's been subjected to the so-called 'female beauty standards' and spent years doubting my capabilities basis other people's comments and opinions, here's something to think about people, "Before worrying about things beyond your control, are you giving your 100% to the things in your control?" If there is one physical trait you cannot achieve, there are at least 10 other traits, physical, mental, skillful, professional, social, etc. etc., that you can work on (ofc without going through dangerous procedures and painful surgeries), and be a better human for yourself.
I'm 26 years of age and You have uploaded this video when I needed it the most because I'm accepting in the way who I am. This is the last time I will think about my height insecurity.
As a girl, i would love a short/tall/average guy or girl. For me its about how well people take care of themselves and aim to improve and grow as an individual. Its about skills they aim to acheieve and develop on the skills they can control. Im sure there are more people like me, so focus on self love, self worth if you feel insecure. Have learning and growing as your primary goal. Im sure right one will come for you.

My friend also have lower than average height in our group of boys. If he feel low sometimes due to his height, we always remind him of it doesn't matter, you can achieve great success giving the example of messi and sachin. Even sports require physical power but there is stronger thing than that which is will power.
Finally kisi ne is topic par video bnaya 🙂. I am 19 years old and my height is 5.2. Mai itni kamm height ki wajah se bahut si chizo se suffer krta hu. My looks is average, body shape hi perfect, and color is also fine, I am also physically fit and good in studies. Aisa bol skte hai ki mai har chiz me acha aur average hu. Lekin meri height ki wajah se meri qualites ko neglect kr diya jaata hai. Even mujhe sabhi height se hi judge krte hai. Specifically mujhe girls jyda judge krti hai aur yhi ek main reason hai jiski wajah se mai bahut jyda insecure rehta hu. Maine apni height ki wajah se bahut kuch khhoya hai abhi tk aur pta nhi aage abhi kya kya khhona parega 🙂. Meri girl friend ne mujhe cheat kiya, mere army banne ka sapna pura nhi ho saka, school ka headboy nhi bn paaya, friend circle me mujhe koi jagah nhi mila, koi ladki achi lagi to wo meri friend tak nhi bani and bahut kuch hua hai mere sath because of my height. I am 188 cm tall and of course being tall gives you some advantages but it also has some disadvantages. 1--> you do not get proper leg space between the seats of buses 2--> gaining weight is difficult than others 3--> high chances of having back pain than people with leas height 3--> we are more prone to injuries as we have tall body structure 4--> your body needs more maintanence 5--> you will face difficulty in finding your shoe 👟 size. i.e I need shoe of size 11 and i don't get this size easily 6--> you will notice slow progress in your body when you will hit the gym as compared to the people who have less height. And there are many more difficulties that are faced by us (who are above 6 feet). So please do not get embarrassed by your short height , praise your height. And yes definitely there are many advantages of being tall... And one such advantage is 90% of the time you will dominate the hand to hand combat 🙃

As a short man, my request to everyone is
to

Don't blame the victims, it's the society that
needs to be held accountable.
What boils my blood is seeing how half of
the

and skin issues - both of which that can be
changed, however with shortness, it is
completely genetic yet shortness is looked

Exactky people taunt about height which noone can control
Good perspective. Thanks brother
Stop joking
The same thing goes with baldness as well, things which are not in our hands and are completely genetic break us completely.
As a 6’3 guy I’ve never mocked anyone for height cause I can see that people generally get complex standing near me cause they look even shorter, but I generally change the topic and make them feel confident by complimenting their confidence or the way they portray themselves..

People often undergo surgery due to societal pressures-when people mock or laugh at them.

It is believed that those men were compensating for their height

Average height in those days was much lower because of lack of nutrition. So 5'4-5'6 was actually not short.
I don't remember exact sources but you can probably find it if you look for it, mohak also said about nutrition in video.
@@vortexgaming6775 actally reality about them is that they were shorter than the average, not exact height is written.
another point to note is that during those times, there was no internet and social media, so average people would not compare themselves with 1000s of other people. Social media has destroyed this society.
really great to see the youtuber making videos on real problems rather than on fake ones ! thank you mohak ✌✌

3--> we are more prone to injuries as we have tall body structure
4--> your body needs more maintanence

6--> you will notice slow progress in your body when you will hit the gym as compared to the people who have less height.
And there are many more difficulties that are faced by us (who are above 6 feet).
So please do not get embarrassed by your short height , praise your height.
