Fascinating architecture Colonel particularly the "Coin" reminds me of a giant powder compact.😊 The roads are so clean, a credit to the society. Thank you I found this tour very interesting. Love to view other cultures. Apartment living seems the preferred home of residents there. Thank you, take care.xo😊❤xo

Everything is so clean - even with all the construction - everything is clean! And not one homeless or drugee tent in sight. Wow!
The lack of traffic is such a treat to see. Guess when all the apartments get full, it will be a different story, so enjoy it while it lasts Colonel. Thanks for the well-narrated driving tour.

I love these videos! So interesting...from a place we'll never see. Wondering if people are "polite" when using the round a bouts.
Here instead of yielding, most people gauge whether or not they
can beat you! I guess I'm asking if there are "jerk drivers" in the UAE?

I appreciate the update as I left in 2018. Yeah, I remember the giant throat lozenge building at Al Raha. Abu Dhabi is certainly calm most the time. Not much to do other than dining and malls. Great travel hub. Excellent food, too. I recommend a minimum six figure income unless you are also being compensated generously. E.g, I was US Gov, so not quite six figures, but our 'case' did shell out a good chunk of change for prime accommodations on the Corniche, rental car, phone plan, etc. Overall, a very decent experience for the family. I count us fortunate to have lived in Abu Dhabi when we did.

@@PhyllisStokes yes, the first actual stop sign there was no stop just a slow to look both ways then going right on thru. Be careful especially when your not home home (u know what I mean). Be safe Colonel for your family.
I remember teaching my daughter to drive & told her to always make a 3 second stop even when there's no one around because I guarantee you someone will be watching, sure enough years later her & her two girl friends were cruising off highway around the fields & she said it was pitched dark & on their way back at the last stop sign going to the highway she didn't completely stop & she knew it because she felt no one was around But she got pulled over for it. She said mom you were right I should've stop.

It runs the engine temperature higher, the ambient temperature is already so hot there, an engine block running in a city must be unbelievable hot!🌡️(we had an engine block crack in one of our trucks a few years ago that way)

They have improved both Khalifa City and MBZ city. I've seen whole neighborhoods in Khalifa that were incredibly green. Trees, bushes, grass, you name it.

Are there depressed areas? Is everybody well to do in that area as the rent is so high?

There are some not-so-swanky areas where many of the service workers live. They are by no means slums--the government wouldn't put up with that. There are laws protecting tenants. There aren't any out-of-work folks here. Only reason give work visas is for folks to work. No job, no visa and home you go. Very few living off the government here.

How come no people? Looks so cold with no life around, trees flowers barking dogs. Not where I would want to live.
