Uncover the truth behind the exploitation of south Asian migrant workers in the UAE. Welcome to Dubai. Footage supplied by Storyblocks, Google Earth, STIR Images supplied by The Telegraph, The New York Times
Personally hated Dubai and the UAE, you basically live indoors for most of the year because it's too hot to go out and the few months when you are able to go out during the day what is there? The UAE is desert with some beaches you get sick of after even like 2 weeks on vacation there. Pakistan needs to fix its economy so our peoples do NOT have to go to these hell holes for work and then ban ownership of any properties there or financial dealings with them.
‼️Dubai today is 44 degrees, it is seen as 53 degrees on the phone... While driving on the road, I was talking to my wife about the lack of air conditioning, the windows were closed but it was still not cold enough inside the car, then the bus carrying the construction workers passed us and I was very upset and ashamed of myself. , the people in the bus look like they are dying from the heat, no one is smiling, all the windows of the bus are open so the air conditioner is not working or there is no air conditioning, this is an embarrassing system... UEA trying to make everything flashy, trying to make everything perfect, the ministry of labor or the royal unaware of it or It is very sad that it is careless or does bring a certain standard...‼️Dubai today is 44 degrees, it is seen as 53 degrees on the phone... Thank you for your comment. The extreme heat of Dubai is unbearable for many construction workers. I can’t imagine working all day in 44-degree weather
Unfortunately unlike you said they’re very aware yet they don’t seem to care. For me I don’t even go outside when the temperature is anything above 30°C I can’t imagine going outside for 2 minutes in such weather
There was this asian guy who told me that his friend was going on for months without a pay I asked him why isnt he reporting it but then he said what can he do, instead his manager will put him in jail. And in different incident some poor guy he made a complaint against his bose or some local and that guy put him in prison. That’s the reality of uae.
I lived in UAE for a long time and I approve of this message. Seriously it's very sad, the condition that these men live in. It needs to be addressed. Good content, but stay safe as well content creator.
I witnessed the horror 😭 in my Dubai travell. How could human manipulated like this? They're suffering a lot they don't even get sleep, They work at night because the company don't pay for months or not at all.
Thank you for this video, it's off topic but my husband's sister (Filipino Catholic) who worked as a maid for a family in Saudi Arabia had to get help from the Philippine government and online because they were abusing her, the son (who was a police officer) sexually assaulted her, they refused to give her rest and didn't pay her property, tbh i wouldnt even get a layover flight in one of these countries
Thank you for sharing that story. In hindsight, I should have spoke more about Filipino migrant workers in the Persian Gulf and their struggles. I hope your husband's sister is okay now.
@@BitesizeBriefly thank you she's safe now, I didn't realise the abuse of OFW I think the Philippines government even banned OFW in Kuwait but I'm not sure though
Damn this is very shocking this country is talked about being very safe and laws there to protect you but it’s literally hell they are living in slavery I don’t really know which country I wanna go and settle in the future where it’s safe and not gonna exploit and do shit
i was born in saudi arabia ( Jeddah) i am originally from Yemen but luckily i have migrated to the netherlands and became a citizen there. now i can go to saudi arabia however and whenever i please with no one controlling my life through a slavery system called Kafala.
good video for a fresh channel. Could have used a bit more meat and the ending was abrupt. Overall was good though and I'm sure you already had those criticisms in mind
Thank you for your constructive criticism. I completely agree the video was short and the video was abruptly ended. I rushed the video as I wanted to get another video published. My next upload will be better I promise 🫡
I used to live in one of the gulf states and this is part of the reason why I thought I shouldn’t work and pay taxes for such evil ruthless government. They also still criminalize homosexuality which is even more reason to hate
@@BitesizeBrieflyyour welcome bud. Don’t worry about me I’m fine I left Kuwait and moved to Switzerland very recently. Couldn’t done any better decision
Whataboutery at its finest. Of course, I don’t think the United States is perfect nor do I think it’s exempt from criticism; however, this video is about the poor treatment of migrant workers in the UAE, not American drug policy
Yes, funny how no Instagram influences are showing this aspect of Dubai
Agreed 👍
it’s because they don’t care about these people; the world has become too selfish
